Folate is a B vitamin, sometimes referred to as B9. As a B vitamin it plays a major role in helping the body to generate energy.
These are some of the most common symptoms of those with low folate:

Absolutely numbing fatigue
I had most of those symptoms. Still have some of them. No memory. Started drinking B complex vitamins again and one thing is noticeable. I am not so moody and no depressed feelings either.
What about your memory? Did you ever get it back?
@@Charlie-eq3dj I think, i was not clear enough. I meant that i can't remember anything, like no memory, somewhat does not work. For exa3.ple I read article yesterday and today I try to tell what it said but I can barely remember one thing from it. Or simply cant temember words in my native language. It is better now. But I found out I have anemia. So no surprise. Its been since teenage years on and off. I think there is always more than one thing that is missing, not just vitamin B.
@@edith8349 I have the same issue. I forget very easily and I have terrible recall. My iron levels look fine from my most recent test but I will try supplementing as well. Good luck on your search for answers.
The big issue with these Doctors, they rarely tell you how much you need and do not recommend a quality product. There are thousands of companies that sell this but most of them are crap.

Thank you for explaining this vitamine to me… I have been ill for 2 years… my digestion was all off and they finally discovered my GB was bad. Had surgery Dec 22… but my gut is still off. Currently have candida gut… healing that presently with probiotics and enzymes etc… I am sure I was and still am, vitamin and mineral deficient because of how I am feeling. I have some of the symptoms, mostly the numbness and tingling in my feet, arms, and legs… I’m adding B5 and folate to my morning supplements to see if it will help me feel better.

I have been.suffering with severe neuropathy in the face legs and arms, hands and feet. It was a gradual process triggered initially by long covid. The doctor decided to do a b12 and b9 blood test and it was detected that l was b9 deficient
The doctor has put me on a course of folic acid 5mg for 12 weeks.
I think the mental health doctor are nothing but shit

My feet and face are still getting neuropathy. My left ear inparticular still hurts. I am wondering whether my eustachian tube is blocked.
Should try methyl folate not folic acid.
My doctor just prescribed this for me I'm from england and in the winter which is about 11 months a year. I'm always tired. And get colds easy. Will this help me. I'm 56 can't take these winters any more

I have been suffering from extreme fatigue the last few months. I got a blood test and my Doctor told me last week that I am deficient in Folate. I purchased Methylfolate with no knowledge that I have the MTHFR gene. Does that matter? In other words: is supplementing Methylfolate superior than supplementing Folate or Folic Acid for everyone that is deficient?
yes it is superior to folic acid!
