10 Signs You Are DEFICIENT in VITAMIN B1 (Thiamine)

- The top 10 common Vitamin B1 deficiency symptoms to watch out for.
Vitamin B1 is an essential water soluble nutrient which is needed to convert foods and sugar into energy at the cellular level, along with protecting the nervous system and the brain against free radical damage.
A deficiency in Vitamin B1 (thiamine) can lead to problems like nerve damage (neuropathy), anxiety, neurological issues, acid reflux and much more.
Unfortunately when we consume refined foods like sugar, flour or rice we deplete out Vitamin b1 reserves, causing us to have less available in our bodies, so it's important to get more of this into your diet from whole food sources and supplement when necessary.

Started Vit B1 100mg twice in the morning along with magneisium 250mg twice in the morning. Before this I was in a wheel chair for down town use as I could barely step one foot in front of the other. Two days after taking the Vitimins I went for a three mile walk and it has been eight days of being able to walk with a full stride. The Parkinson’s medication did not do much. I would still be using the wheel chair. Try it as it may change your life.
Good information and good input.
Thanks again. I have started talking them . Appreciate your encouragement.
This is wonderful! You must feel like a new person. Congratulations, I wish you continued good health. Thank you for sharing your results. All the very best.
Again thx for ur INPUT. Appreciate IT.
I too am In a wheelchair just to get around. I'm going to try this. Can you tell me what you mean by twice in the morning? Is it a 100 mg total taken 2 different times or a 100 mg each time taken twice, same for magnesium, 250 total or 250 to total twice? Thank you for the hope.
Thiamine deficiency is much more common these days than most doctors think.
Spot on = Could no longer work Totally DEPLETED and BREATHLESS = Doctor gave me iron but the nerve pain continued in legs and feet with cramps in odd places (even while sleeping) until I started taking a supplement with B1 = I CAN WORK AGAIN 😀
I used to get leg cramps while sleeping, started taking magnesium - it stopped.
@@ppumpkin3282 Magnesium didn’t stop my leg cramps (although it used to, sometimes). The thing with B1 is that it needs magnesium to function so one without the other is useless.
@@sabahkhan2850 add potassium also you will get better

Try Allithiamine
I had tremors so bad I could not hold my cell. My doctor wanted to give me a prescription, but I declined because I just don’t like prescriptions pills. That same day I spoke to the doctor I started my CZcams research. I came across B1 for my shakes. The first day I took 1,500mg, the tremors totally stopped! I like to take B1 at night because it is so relaxing,
I can't . .waking
@@marytracey6724 my daughter says the same, it gives her energy! I take 400 mg and I am out. Lol
Thank goodness you didnt get on those prescriptions
@@Fstop313 me too!!!!! And you know what is very interesting? I had emergency gallbladder surgery a month ago and the tremors have totally stopped! No B1 needed anymore.

You are the best Ryan! I listen to many CZcamsrs and I always navigate to your post in the subject. Thank you!
This video answers everything I have been going thru. Not diabetic but the symptoms of B1 I have had every one showing up & doctors I have seen had no answers except getting older & stress of job.
So important. So timely. Thank you. 👍
OMG!!! thank you so so much for this video, explains alot, im off for a b1 test tomorro. bless You Ryan
You rarely hear about this vitamin B1 deficiency. Thank you for your video. I have many of these symptoms I will bring up to my doctor 😊
This is UNREAL, and like a message from God to me. The last few years I've had some health issues pop up (Just turned 53). Gout started several years ago, always been the A Type personality, panicky, on edge, perfectionistic. Drinking moderate to small amounts more often last few years, have Obsessive Compulsive (atleast I think I do), and constantly researching ways to improve my health--as I still drink and smoke. Then developed Tinnitus 3 years ago, which sent me into the ULTIMATE quest for info. Enter, Dr Berg and Ryan Taylor (and a few others). Long story short, I've learned TONS from the good people like Ryan here, and for some reason, this particular video seemed to put together about all the pieces of the puzzle, as to my issues lately. I mean, its like Divine Intervention. I somehow knew all along, that everything was tied, in balance, and for harmony, and after years and years now of watching vids on youtube and my constant searching and researching information (and seeing a lot of bogus propaganda and marketing gimmicks) I can honestly say the value I've got from Ryan Taylor's Videos tops all of the others in my arsenal of watching. The funny thing is, I have bought Benfotiamine and Unfortified Nutritional Yeast a while back (think mostly at the behest of Taylor) but I never gave them much of a chance (there goes my OCD and short attention span). This time I'm going to give them a chance again. Your video explained everything about my body almost exactly perfectly, from the prediabetic to the swelling, to well, everything you mentioned. PS: Your relaxing voice is a Godsend, a bonus to those of us who suffer from Tinnitus and extraneous noises. I sometimes listen to your meditation video at night when I have a particularly bad flare of the hissing. Thank you so much, and may God richly bless you.
Thank you so much for commenting and sharing your message with us here. I am very pleased to hear that you have found this info useful and it makes working on this channel every day worth every second. Wishing you all the very best with your health, and again thank you for making my afternoon. 💚
👍good job. Now just to quit drinking & smoking 😉🫡
After listening to this video alone I have to agree with you it is very eye-opening...I had no idea this was potentially responsible for the host of similar issues I was suffering from constantly myself!! I am so glad his videos have helped you get answers! I hope implementing the advice he gives turns all of these health issues around for you! 😊
Not a message from a god. A message from CZcams.
Take two tart cherry extract capsules at bedtime for two months to alleviate Gout and lower your blood sugar. You have to take it at night because it makes you sleepy. Tart cherry extract also helps lower your blood sugar and calms you down. I'm pre-diabetic and have been taking tart cherry for years and it has really helped me. In addition, I take a daily prescription medication, Gabapentin, to help calm the neuropathy in my left calf and left foot and my tinnitus. Finally, I wear hearing aids and my audiologist was able to adjust them to lessen the ringing in my ears and it seems to be helping. Wishing you good health, my friend!

Thanks for the nice video
When I was 14, my rib hurt so bad my mom actually took me to the doctor. He prescribed Darvon. Darvon!? Other tgan setting me up for a lifetime of loving pain meds ( not an addict but easily could have been) it didn't help. New pediatrician suggested B1. Helped immediately and I still take additional supplements when neuritis flares up.
I swear I have atleast 6 or 7 of these symptoms and have been battling them for Yearssss!
I've got to start taking this supplement....
Vit B-1 comes in 2 forms, water soluble and Fat soluble, The Thiamine B-1 is quickly peed out, Benfotiamine , the fat soluyble, stays in the system longer and do what it should
One additional point to above is Benfotiamine is Synthetic / man made solution but what i have heard this is the only synthetic vitamin which doctors would advice without caution as it does not have or has a very minimal-to-null side effects. And those side affects would go away by itself, unless those persists for more than a week.

Excellent video! Was talking to a young girl about 11 yrs old . She said I should take Vit B1. I decided to humor her advise. Low and behold she was right! Who would have ever thought such a young mind could produce this profound information. Thank you for validating her thoughts.

Thanks for information on health problems. I’m going to try B1 and I take magnesium already . Waking with toes numb, cramps in feet. Aweful feeling. Vitamins are good to know . Been taking the B complex but fear it is crap brand. Stopped. I’ll look for both types of B1 thank you again U tube. Information is great. Not drugs from doctors with no cure. ❤

OMG I pegged the charts on every single symptom you mentioned. I am going to discuss all of this with my doctor once they can get me into the office for a visit. At this point I'm struggling just to get through a single shift at work. I also just got through two weeks submarine from covid-19 could barely even get out of bed at all. Great show i been using b1 for last 4 months anxiety gone but does taking b1 lowers potassium up great show
Hi Mohammed, thank you. Not that I am aware of, however low levels of B1 can lower potassium within the cells.
Drugs dont solve vitamin deficiencies
I wonder if that is why my tri genima nerve often shoots pains?
Very nice and useful video sir. Tq
I cannot thank you enough for this video. I put myself on a magnesium/calcium/Vit D supplement for muscles. However, I am 70 years old and the neuropathy has grown in both feet and hands, especially at night. It is so true that standard blood tests do not show deficiencies, thank fully supplements are available without a prescription. I will add a complete B vitamin spectrum supplement. I sweat nightly when going through deep sleep phases, you have truly been helpful.
Vitamin E is also great for reducing pain associated w muscle issues. Especially as a preventative measure. Taking it before working out or doing anything that may cause muscle cramping/ soreness afterwards. It helps by reducing that inflammatory pain. It's also great for menstrual related issues (i.e. sore breasts) I take a mega dose the day before its set to come and it's has helped me tremendously! ( I was given that tip by a lovely dr I had many years ago) ❤💫
Another channel espouses the importance of taking vitamin K2 with your D3 to ensure calcium is pushed into the cells and bones where it is needed instead of being in the bloodstream where it can increase your risk of arterial plaque forming with cholesterol.
I wanted to update this comment. After adding a B-Complex, I was doubled over w cramps and abdominal pains for most of a day. I will try again w just the thiamine as suggested.
@@rachs57 are you sure you needed a complex? Did you look into food based sources instead so you get the most bio available version of each of the B vitamins?
Also the cheaper supplements use less or none bio-available sources of the minerals
I am 70 years old as well and have never felt more better. I am getting B complex vitamins as well B1 through foods! Get the vitamins if you have too but maybe you should try and eat the foods recommend as well for these vitamins! I also cook my own foods so I know what is in it!
Thank you
Thanks for this info. I think i need B¹ vitamin.
Thank you! Wow, so far @ 3min I have all of it. This is a huge relief, i have hope!
I didnt know that sugars steal thiamine. I bought super B complex along with over $100 worth of vitamins recently. Not sure how I want to juggle them. So i dont over dose on one or another vitamin.
I've been diagnosed with fibro RA, Hashimottos, hietal hernia, Gurd-Gastro Reflux disease, Gastritis....idk I gotta lot but really it's likely just vitamin deficiencies-hallelujah Amen!
I've just begun juggling them a few weeks ago. Some help I know for sure the kelp helps rhymes lol.
Well, thanks again!
Thank you ,
Thank you so much Ryan. You are the best. Love you. And thank you so much for taking the time to educate us I learned so much from you. Albeit, I eat all healthy natural organic food but I also wondered if I had a vitamin B1 deficiency. Albeit again I'm not a saint but I do like my red wine every evening. So I'm going to start incorporate more vitamin B1 in my diet. Waiting for the next episode

Low carb did what metformin did not. Plus giving up sugar and seed oils.
Nobody on earth was more addicted to sugar than I was but meat with healthy fats will curb your craving to a manageable level.
