    Personally, not a fan of removing seat tubes from bikes. You lose a place to put a bottle cage and that tube actually serves a second purpose to shield the rear wheel rotating into the wind at nearly twice the speed of the rider. If bikes had always been built without a seat tube, it would be considered a genius move to put one there for big functional and aero gains. Oh, and FIRST! Great work, David! Love your channel.

    From what I've seen, the Cane Creek Eesilk suspension stem is still the best out there in terms of adjustability, it lets you change the elastromer without unscrewing the whole stem, and it has a switch that can toggle the stem between suspension and firm.
    The one shown in the video is just the same as Redshift, only with a rounder look.

    • @tomconway6808
      @tomconway6808 Před 21 dnem +1

      Anything to make presta more like a schrader seems like a win to me. I liked that Muck Off presta-to-schrader coreless valve too. I just bought my first bike in 25 years back in November 2023, and I find the whole presta valve thing very annoying. The majority of general purpose air pumps require a presta adapter. I realize the Schwalbe doesn't convert presta to schrader, but it does remove that super fragile tip you need to unscrew before you can inflate/deflate the tire. So that seems like a good thing to me.

    • @tomconway6808
      @tomconway6808 Před 21 dnem +3

      It seems to me like there are quite a few people who like the Redshift stem. This seems like a more tunable version of that. If you want a parallelogram pivot stem you can grab yourself a Kinekt. If you listened to what he said about the seatposts they've been making for a long time, people like their suspension seatposts because they look like normal seatposts. These stems look like a normal stem compared to something like the Kinekt.
