- On this episode of Dream Homes, Bianca Solterbeck and Peter Verge tour two spectacular homes on Vancouver's North Shore in British Columbia! The first home is a West Coast inspired house designed by internationally renowned architect, Brian Hemingway. The home has elegant pine wood interiors, a spectacular entrance and deep water moorage. The second house is completely custom built- thanks to the homeowner, who is a goldsmith by trade. Every room in the house is well thought out, with distinct design features crafted by the homeowner. The master bedroom has world class workmanship and originality.
Three things that are most important to me: lots and lots of natural light, spacious kitchen and space to for a 1,000+ book library.
Susan MacDonald's place is breathtaking. A genuine work of art!!!!! I want to read her book.
I love her and her home, which is a perfect extension of her. 💜
I absolutely loved Susan's house, the first one was gorgeous but too high class not lived in feelings. Susan's was my personal fav cause she created everything herself made it look funky and unique.

Watched all episodes available, but I just have to say that second home... quite possibly the best I've ever seen.

Thanks to this episode (one or two 'little' things from both homes) the last piece of the jigsaw that's been in my head for almost a decade now has just clicked into place.
Now, it's time to get it out of my head, and at least on to paper.
Here's hoping I'm around to see it built and to spending more than a small handful of years living in it.

NiceI I am looking forward to seeing them. I liked the Second home featured in this show. I thought it was very nice and cozy looking. I liked the first home too but not crazy about that koi pond. I think that would attract alot of mosquitos and flies and I wouldn't want those in the house, but each to their own.

We debated this as well! There is a fine line between boring house facts and silly jokes- we were always trying to strike the right balance! Oh well, maybe in the future we can hire writers :)

Hey Dream Homes, i'm a twelve year old and have watched all of your episodes. I think that this show is very interesting and shows a lot about architecture tips. My dream is to someday design and build my own house. I live in Kelowna and really appreciated you guys doing an episode there. My Grandfather is an architect, I would love it if you guys checked out his website.
