I got my first period yesterday, and I wanted to make sure it stayed healthy, so I tried this and felt so relaxed and much more mindful and centered
I like this gentle routine because I feel like I performed "self-care" without too much effort. It's good for low-energy/lazy days 😌 even without pms.

I have endometriosis, adeno, PSCO AND your routines don’t take away my pain BUT they help relax me, help get my body moving, help my mind to push through another period.
I use the heat pad when I can and it also really helps.

Ive done this 2 days in a row during my cycle. I love the visualization of your breath as a fluid cleansing your body. I do feel relief on my lower back and notice greater flexibility.

Wow!! Exercise has only ever made my periods feel worse, but this seriously reduced how hard my back was cramping!!!

Many teachers recommend to avoid inverted postures in menstrual cycles... it makes unnatural flow of blood, and it's make sense

lovely little flow. i skip the inverted positions, too. it's easy to substitute your own stretches... like she says listen to your body and do what feels good to you.

yes ive got medically bad period pain and this was awful, most routines on YT are based in some kind of science/ they know that it will actually help. This routine is horrific the first pose was extremely painful and made my cramps worse! why put your hands on your lower tummy/ the area where it hurts while spreading your legs. Its stupidity and not based in anything

Happy to hear your doing good without pills. I have severe endometriosis and still manage to be period cramp free now for 5 years purely with yoga & lifestyle change. Good on you for not trying pills.

What a great routine! My period pain is gone! Loved the music, the cues were easy to follow so I hardly had to check in on the screen. I have inflammatory arthritis and have limited flexibility (the butterfly one was probably the hardest for me lol) but this was easy enough for me to do following the alternate poses. I found plough helped my pain a lot although I modified it and did it onto some steps.
Love this I get such bad cramps and back pain that it is unbearable now thanks to this video my cramps are way less painful thank you
This video has saved my yoga practice a few times. I am prone to bad cramps/muscles spasms. While this yoga flow does not alleviate my pain completely, it helps me relax my muscles a little and is gentle enough. I'm so happy that I can continue my practice a few more days during the week of my period instead of having to stop for 6 whole days, which used to set me back. I cannot do that one inversion due to my muscle spasms at this time, but I really enjoy the extra time in legs up the wall and never thought that position would help so much. And one-legged pigeon has become a favorite. Sara Beth, thank you SO much for creating this video!!!

I love this. It helps me deal with my period. Eventhough my period gives me a lot of anxiety (hormones) every month , this video helps me see the positive side and somehow appreciate my monthly period more. I am doing this every first day of my period and it feels so good.
CZcams gave me an HOUR-long ad before this video. I usually watch to help out, but man, that’s a bit much.

I loved yoga for PMS and today I loved yoga for menstruation!! Thank you Sarah Beth. I actually feel a lot better when doing these practices during my time of month. They bring me a lot of relief especially the poses that are centered towards stretching lower back and hamstrings.

This is my favorite yoga for menstruation so far- from all of the different practitioners here on CZcams. So good. Did this in the evening before bed. Very relaxing. It would be nice to have another video, if you don’t already have one, that focuses more on the visualization of letting go of the previous month, harnessing all the good that happened in the previous month, and bringing that good energy into the upcoming month. Just an idea or a wish that I had when I was practicing. But again, thank you so much! You did a great job. Don’t mean to provide unsolicited advice. Just thought it would be nice if you had one like that. I would definitely listen to it.

I can't stress how helpful this video is for me. Every month on the first day of my period I experience crazy pain. But after doing this 15 minute video, my lower body cramps ease and I feel better not just physically but mentally too. ❤️❤️❤️
Pro tip for menstrual cup users. Avoid doing plough/inversion pose. The walls of vagina contracts and I have experienced leakage.

Heya, just did this routine (I actually thought it was the same as Yoga for Menstrual Cramps for the longest time and had therefore never done it...) and it helped me rinse, thanks a lot for that. I am currently trying period panties for the first time, and I'm already liking the freedom they give me in continuing to doing my thing and letting the flow happen in this way.
