Once having a car @ 1lakh was a dream, but Tata did that! Now when all thought getting an EV below 10L was a dream, now Tata did that too.
Perfect city car for office goers. A good choice as a 2nd car too.
Small dimensions, ample space for 4, adequate range for multiple office trips, great build quality, Low NVH and ridiculously low cost of running and maintenance. Icing on the cake is the perfect pricing, at 9L this seems far better value to money proportion when compared to a petrol hatchback.
This will be a smash hit in the urban and suburban areas. The only downside is range as it cannot be used for outstation trips.
150 kms bhi mushkil se nikalegi ye
Agreed in total
Tata should go global with the Tiago EV
Most countries have Tesla Motors.
@@rajpawar9343 broh tesla cars r mid premium...this is one of the cheapest ones...it will do good sales if sold globally and tata is gains recognition due to jaguar and land rover
Who knows.
Yeah in countries with better charging infrastructure, this car makes highest sense. You need not worry about range also. It can definitely sell like hot cakes in European and American market where they have excellent charging infrastructure.
Global with 200km practical range ? Good joke
Tata is doing a brilliant job otherwise
It's an excellent city car...
TATA nailed it
Finally a perfect city car. No tailpipe emissions, sufficient range and just enough grunt from the motor. The only thing I wish they did was give the figures of the Tigor EV for the motor(it has similar range for the almost similar battery pack size). Then we would have had enough power in tap and not depend on Sports mode a lot. I can see quite a few owners of this car using it frequently which results in battery depletion due to adequate power.
Else the perfect car for city roundabouts. No spare is a bit of a bummer but considering its main purpose it may be okay and they have given a puncture repair kit.
Still pricing is quite a lot around 2L diff on road from Tiago iCNG varients and it is more readily usable in city and highways
Shifting to electric is still difficult with limited range and charging network. Also the upfront cost is quite a lot
@@chadultrapromax1735 agree with you. The main audience for this car will be those who need a second car, environment conscious and also ready for electric adoption.
@@chadultrapromax1735 : People were asking for sub 10lakh ev car . They got it with this .This is the most affordable ev one can get. But as you said there are challenges with charging infrastructure. Just as a city car this is best
I really like Autocar India even though I don't live there. 1/ It's practical reviews, from the motorist's standpoint, no hype. 2/ Cars we don't get over here in Europe (Pity though, I'm all for tough, practical, no nonsense and affordable cars)
When tata Tiago was launched back in 2015 it was called Zica and at that time Africa was having Zica virus infections hence TATA changed the name to Tiago.
I fell in love with Tiago and felt that this could be a game changer for Tatas and i was right after 8 years Tatas have come a long way (
with Tiago, punch, tigor, altroz, Nexon, harrier) safari
I saw these beautiful cars getting delivered...
I thought well delivery started so early??
Through this video now i know that they are for review versions.
Makes so much sense for Indian customers. Specs that are just right. Priced very well too.
Tata should definitely make it’s come back to South Africa 🇿🇦
India - India -The Rise of Nation - Tata Motors India , Hats of to you to Lauch the most affordable EV in the World - People Car
Eagerly waiting for Tata Nano EV in a new avatar....looks of which we have seen as Tata Pixel or Tata Megapixel...it will be a complete game changer and rock the automobile industry!!
Amazing city car and a killer price too, now I'm exited!
Very good product from TATA with a solid build quality. Kudos. This will save a lot of money for commuters.
3:50 Define "Brief mixed-cycle test"
well great. But I still look forward for Nano EVm if they could nail between 5-6L.
Tata should consider making a longer estate/Prius shape rear end.
Clean aero efficiency is important for high speeds, add the boot space makes it even more competitive.
It's looks is appealing 🤩
Finally here I am searching for this one from past 3 month's
From 315km to 190km? Very disappointing, would've atleast expected 250km
Sehr schön beschrieben ! Herzlichen Dank !! Happy new year from Munich/Bavaria/Germany !!! #greatcarchannel😍
Got it Sergius.. just Loving the Experience
Should have provided hill hold assist, considering the price.
I'm currently apprehensive of the overall EV space right now. The technology is pre-mature and expensive. It is too early to understand the longevity of this technology. Charging infrastructure is also scarce.
Having said that, I am excited to see Tata excel with their EV portfolio, and I am looking forward to more exciting products from them. I am also eagerly looking forward to see how the Sodium-ion and hydrogen technology evolve as alternatives to ICE and EV.
It’s amazing ❤❤❤Tata Tiago❤❤TATA MOTORS 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Tata Motors has nailed it with the Tiago EV, most affordable electric car to go on sale.
It could be a city only car, or a second car. Definitely can't be the only and primary car, unless EV infra is in place all over the country.
Lord Tiago gained huge respect again from Indian costumers.
Quite informative and useful review. Nice 👍
Thank you
Please make a video on how an ev at this price point makes sense over a conventional petrol vehicle especially considering the obvious range anxiety and long charging time issues
Tata can disrupt the automobile market in India if it launches EV at 4-5 lakhs. But competitiors would not allow that to happen. Even government might not permit as many automotive associated industries will suffer.
Use of Public transport in city is better to save fuel.
Does it come with Fast charging?
Indians needs to thank TATA Motors for bringing this masterpiece. Appreciate that we have such an amazing practical electric car at this price point. The Koreans and the Japanese would have overpriced their products if they had any in this segment and we would have not questioned them because obviously they are foreign brand whereas TATA is our own local brand. Typical colonial mindset.
This color looks so good
The best city car ever made (either fossil fuels or EV) considering all the relevant parameters. Tata really needs to present this on the global platform.
Eagerly waiting for TATA PUNCH .EV....
what is the expecting price of this vehicle, if they could fit the same motor in Altroz would be better i think...
Support indian brand more than foreign brand, hats of to Ratan Tata ji haar baar itne saste gaari launch karne ke liye..
How Can I buy and drive in UAE ?
I got Tiago Ev is running for 250 km at 60km speed if we go at 90km speed battery discharging for 150km only how improve range
Or can I improve range altering with higher capacity battery
TATA is really doing good 👍
Rolling back down even on a not-so-steep road is a deal breaker.
Under 15 k USD its dominating global contender 👍👍
Finally! Someone removed the spare tyre
The spare is mostly useless in modern cars as that tire itself loses pressure when it is lying in the boot.
So on the day when you actually will plan to use the spare tyre - you cannot use it without a tyre inflator
And if you already have a tyre inflator, you can just use it on the punctured tyre and that can easily run enough till the nearest puncture guy
Hope 2 c u autocar team in auto xpo
It will revolutionize the EV segment. Expect to sell 4-5k pm initially
Now that the Tata EVs are getting rid of engine refinement and mileage, they will easily outrun Suzuki in the very segment it plays like a king - the entry level hatches.
Team autocar , will meet u for sure in autoexpo
Plz ignore mat karna humko
How about you feel like air conditioner in a car and also high speed can drive in a car then tell about range?
Does the electronic power steering revert back after taking a turn.. ?
Does it creep in traffic ?
Yes to both , there's a creep function and the steering returns
Slowly shrinking ICE engines and Slowly growing EV's🤗🤗🤗
I'm sorry to ask this but what is the real world range for the top variant? I did check the video but ARAI claims 315KM.
No problem, we got 193 on a quick mixed cycle test. Mentioned it in the video too
What is onroad price?
Hill assist?
Had an accident running up the road kerb this morning. The car undercarriage caught on fire and burned vigorously. The door lock was jammed but luckily me and my son was pulled out by the passer by. Thought to support local EV but the car quality and safety is just poor luckily I still have my life.
With light foot & regen lvl on 2, it can easily run 220km with single charge.
Amit g , 150 - 160 onlyyyy
हमारे देश के मध्यम वर्ग के लिए सबसे अच्छी कार धन्यवाद टाटा मोटर्स
Location ???
Is it a RWD or FWD?
Nice car
video tip: would like to see a car if the month as in price to ___ ratio.
I will buy this. 🙂
Please launch it in Australia
EVs can change our Tan..Man..Dhan growth ambitions...Experiencing this with our NexonEV since 2021....
Wish the New Year support more to experience this change of the future......
Waiting for punch ev
Can we expect an electric nano in near future?
An electric nano would be a game changer.
But they need to make them but more appealing design wise. Get someone from abroad to do the design
They should have gone for the skateboard platform
Alto petrol is a best city car with fuel efficient at reasonable price. No EV stations in small cities. EV charging is a time consuming vehicles. Battery replacement at 50 cent of car price. EV vehicles are not value for money.
5 star tata 👍
How does the 12V battery charge in an EV?
They are Lead acid batteries. The 12V ones.
They don't charge the Li-ion battery pack. The charging is done externally through a charger or by regen for short bursts like say 1-2km. Then again it depends on regen level.
12V charges from the bigger battery
12V battery is charged by the onboard DC to DC converter which draws power from main lithium battery.
@@adityavisu he is not asking how it charges the main car battery, he is asking how the 12v battery charges itself since traditionally it charges through alternator and EVs may not have alternator.
I took test drive of the tigor ev, as he said if you expect ev level performance you will be highly disappointed, but it has the performance of the old indica in drive mode and decent petrol hatch in sports mode.
I was in the market looking for a small diesel automatic, im not a big fan of amt, and just like he mentioned thats where the pricing made sense, if you compare it with a petrol tiago it may be twice as expensive but when you start looking for an automatic city car, it checks all the boxes and makes for a practical choice.
It was mentioned 8yrs warranty for battery and 3 yrs for the vehicle does that mean the electric motor has 3 yrs warranty only ?
Expensive
I am a huge TATA Fan and a Altroz user.
Cost cutting for the spare tire is not appreciated at all. Sorry TAMO.
Vehicle is perfect but Tata had better renew the TATA emblem. Cause current emblem doesn't fit for this car
😮
I cant believe 9L car is considered budget vehicle. Crazy
We need these cars in Europe.
Small cars are vanishing, affordable electric cars are rare.
2:46 no not for that..
Why they have 12 v battery because there car electicals are not optimised to run on high voltage…
See the example of Tesla, they don’t use 12v battery in there car, Tesla optimised all electrical items to run high voltage..
No Teslas also have 12V batteries. You can check an owner's manual or even just google why do Teslas have a 12 Volt battery.
Tata must change the front looks first.
No rear parking sensors 😵💫
At slopes with 4 people in it, it will not claimb
not even close to what they said 350km and they just got 193km.
Should have done with a bit more range 👍
Not needed. That'll make the car more heavy, reduce space and comfort.
and the price too.. very nice for daily commute
No. The range is perfect for what is a city runabout car.
people can upgrade to nexon for more range
For a car of this size 200-250 Kms is a respectable number. Renault Zoe is the benchmark when it comes to small ev cars and it claims 400 Kms with 52 KWh battery.
Aaaaa, that long antenna upon the Tiago Ev ruins the car's aesthetics.
this car look like i20
190 km is good enough
More OLA lol less city car
In short it can't be your first car
It's Indian, firstly not cheap in price as Tesla is, our ecosystem isn't accepting EV's at all, Overpriced and entry level.
No good car. In 3 months, 3 times high voltage came and no answer
Evs are not future Till next 20 years, the cost of replacing battery is as expensive as cost of car and one Battery can run max upto 1,00,000 lakh km in real life whreras petrol cars and diesel engines can run upto 5 lakhs km if maintain well and do not need to change any engine.
Be Aware- Companies are fooling u by saying EV is eco Frindly and cheap running cost.
😂😂😂 … let me tell you the reason
This is not a EV that is designed to be an EV … it’s an inefficient ICE car!!
Honestly, it’s very sad to see Tata is doing the same mistake as Ford, GM, etc.
