Really good stuff I hope this guy makes it big one day.
It’s good too see an older guy at his parents house getting started making music
hahahaa...good one!
Lol
Follow your dreams!
Stop playing with that radio, david. I m trying to get some sleep. (Mom voice, inspired by george micheal end of track only old farts know)
The American climate has suited Calvin, he's never looked so good.....
Honestly these videos with David Guetta are so helpful and insightful. My biggest take away is that I complicate everything for no reason.
Same
Same
Yup, same.
thats really one of the biggest hurdles that everyone has to get past.
Ive been producing for over a decade, and I literally sit down every time like I forgot everything I learned each time, then I see this and how simple it is and im like.... Okay back to the basics lol. This is one of my favorite tracks by him too.
This is a masterclass. I’m almost overwhelmed by the simplicity, efficiency, and elegance of both what he is doing and how he is explaining it.
So literally the opposite of a master class? 🤣
@@ericheitman1184 😆
Да, но он не показывал поиска. Как он что-то подбирал неудачное и т.д. Показано всего 30 минут из многочасовой работы.
@@ericheitman1184 not at all, masters are good at extracting a lot from a little.
@@ericheitman1184 Watch a Mark Knopfler master class. He also keeps it simple. Even more simple than the students. But he sounds way better. That takes experience!
What I'm most impressed with is how he's able to accomplish so much using so little. Here I am, trying to layer 6 synthesizers while this guy detunes a saw and achieves a thousand times better sound.
Maybe simpler may me better
That's the result of years of experience, only using serum and some very well crafted drums, something to learn from the boss
if there is one thing that I've learned in the past couple years then it is that, most of the time, less is more. Too many elements will overwhelm your ear, sound muddy and will be impossible to mix properly
yes sometimes we are tricked into thinking we need tons of gear when really just a few pieces are needed to accomplish a lot
Ichibana is the art of Japanese flower arrangement. Its core principle is filling the vase and continually taking things out until it is at it's core the bare minimum of what is needed to fully express the beauty of the setting of the vase, flowers, accents etc. Taking away boils everything down to a minimum and in the simplicity it shines.
Don't forget that this is 30+ years of music production experience.
eh anyone could do this in 10 years of ableton
he's just scratching the very basics because it's supposed to be understandable and he is doing great indeed
Hey Andrey, thanks for your Sheet2Site and Progress Bar.
@@epicterry6706 so far he did an uncoutable amount of hits while u did nothing.. yea easy
@@epicterry6706 Lol make a track then
I truly admire how he says "let's see how it feels" and not "how it sounds"
As a result "Just little more love"👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻🔥🔥🔥
Thats baller asf
Definetely the most important lesson in this video.
I think this guy has huge potential. He should move beyond just doing remixes of the big well known tunes.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I pay internet for this comments
I agree. Maybe some producer can finance him some marketing so that he can get a little more known.
lmfao now that made me spit soda all over my screen 🤣
ahahahaahhaahah , i just spitt the water i was drinking
I watched this because I was interested in the creative process. Absolutely fascinating. I got the impression he can hear how he wants the track in his head and can get the software to do it exactly. Then he gets to play his creation live in front of people and get direct feedback. Must be incredibly satisfying.
Yes, that is genius. And he understands and knows what people want to hear.
The most amazing thing is how he just knows what to do next and exactly how it will sound before he does it. Pure experience. An EDM Sensai!
Produce for a minimum of 5-10 years straight your mind just starts to thinks like that. Guetta been doing it for even longer so I get how he is able to think like this.
French djs and producers are just the best 🤪 and I don't say that because i'm french 🤣🤣🤣
In this case it was easier, because he already made the remix (together with Morten) 6 months ago. He is basically re-creating that remix from scratch just for the video. Still his skills are amazing, but we don't know how much time went into the initial remix and how much of it was done by Morten.
@@maartens5419 true
Yo
Its amazing that giant dj like him can explain perfessional things in simple and clear lesson
Yes, that's what puts these guys on a different level.
pure simplicity,is the most important thing for someone teaching.Keep it simple!
I know right!!
He barely produces his music , his ghost producer is tho
@@Harry-dk2yd Always as a Hater
Never been a fan of DG but after watching these production videos, I can fully respect his skills & talent. Seems like a nice guy too!
same
yeah I have heard of him but just thought he was some kind of dj or something, yeah he knows his craft big respect for that !!
exactly what i was thinkin he knows his production back to front so that's good
Shout out to his family!
I think this is a really rare outlook on things. Not related specifically to this particular artist, but to be able to say “I’m not a fan of what this person makes, but I can both recognize and acknowledge their talent.”
I’m shocked, I don’t know if all the viewers realised that its got dark before he has finished. A lot of work has been put in to make it. A lot of respect for him
Man I have nothing but respect for this legend. The way he gives back to the producer community with his knowledge and at no cost is just gold.
Top notch gold material stuff
He is revealing the most important secrets, not hiding. Amazing soul 💚
It is amazing to see one of the most famous and best producers and DJs do and explain his work. David Guetta is a 👍great DJ.
I love it how everything is "very simple", and "very basic" to the pros, yet a 30 min video starts in full sun outside and ends in full night 😅😅😅
Almost as if fast and simple are not the same thing..
A fine slap to those who've been saying that Guetta has ghost producers and such. The man has been in music from the 80s. Learn history. Don't judge.
Still pish
I would say I gained a lot more respect for him after watching this video.
To be honest many producers nowadays have Ghost producer so I dont blame people for thinking that.
All the David Guetta & MORTEN future rave tracks are made by Toby Green and Mike Hawkins, they are literally credited in the spotify releases
@@m3morymusic so coproduction then. if it was ghostproduced, they'd never be in the credits
Hoping he makes a masterclass one day. He seems like such an easy guy to listen to. Loved this video!
Yes, a full course. But guys like him probably think they don't know enough to teach a full class. Humble.
I’m really not into his music style but would definitely buy his courses. His techniques are transferable and he has an amazing ability to do just the right amount of everything. His songs are really simple but not too simple if that makes sense
@@rorykoehler9018 that makes absolute sense.
This would be a cardinal sin of edm
The day he makes a masterclass all of the weirdos who accused everyone of being ghost produced by Vorwerk back in 2014-2016 will have their minds blown
This is amazing. What a precise and understandable explanation of his actions, he is such a great technical expert when it comes to produce music. He understands indeed what music it and how it works.
It is amazing to see one of the most famous and best producers and DJs do and explain his work, and we can also see that experience is so useful and the Pareto principle, where 20% of the work brings 80% of the result
I'm super inspired by the elegance of his process. All of his moves were intentional and he kept reiterating that his goal was to convey a feeling. All of the greats constantly reify that concept, but it can be easy to lose that focus today trying to sound "new and cool." None of that matters if the audience doesn't feel something.
Not the video we deserve, but the video we need. Absolute gold mine from the legend!
I know, was fuming when the ott settings were blacked out haha... I haven't touched ott in ages
This is beyond words, as he built the progression I was literally getting goosebumps when he played it back. He is a magician, awe inspiring greatness. Go Guetta.
This was just amazing. I'd love it if he made this a series explaining his thinking behind the tracks and stuff! Very informative!
I haven't really ever given David Guetta much credit as a DJ/Producer, but this is actually pretty cool. Some absolutely gold production techniques!
these tips and tricks by the legend himself seemed so simple yet impactful when done right.Him giving back to the community by sharing his some of his trade secrets is something we all should appreciate.
Legend??? More like a bell end 😂
So amazing how patient he is and makes this look so fun!! Such an Artist!!!
Remember raving early nineties, dark club, minimal lights and David Guetta playing for hours... Reminder to the younger generation that hates "commercial DJ's". Everything was underground. It got commercial because it was good ;)
This guy is very talented, he has a lot future in the industry
Lol
@@miguelsierra875 x2 hahahaha
Yeah right 😂
hahahahaahah he should definitely invest in his career. So much potential
He is the future buddy😂😂
Listening him since middle 2000s( World is Mine, Love is Gone). Was legend that time, still legend now 🧡
But those songs were by Joachim Garraud.
Love Is home top ✌️💯
I've never like David Guetta's music, but this is impressive. Man knows what he is doing.
This is someone who I never really respected before as a DJ or a producer, but now after watching this video, just shows the understanding he has...
Great work 👏
he started at 12 and now 50ish….
That’s a cardinal sin of EDM right there
Amazing how much "future rave" sounds like a trance tune from 20 years ago
the only trance to listen to is from 25 - 29 years ago, in my opinion, it just got more and more cheesy after that, cringey keyboards etc...gimme Northern Exposure etc!!
100% its also funny how 70's 80's dance classics getting remade again too!, ideas are running out
agree, ends up sounding almost like tunnel trance from the 90s
@@chrnovids
Tunnel trance force:)
Yep, old school trance doesn't over use effects or sounds, they have the right amount, making them true special gems! Also, I don't think Guetta is a great producer... this video looks staged.
A remix of a song he had made 10 years earlier took almost full day. Imagine how long it took him to create in the first place. Much respect.
Afrojack & Giorgio Tuinfort Ghost Produced That Song...Not A Big Deal
This is so amazing to watch, honestly. I am not a fan of this kind of festival music, but to see the process of making just a single track in a set that's hours long is fantastic. Huge respect for Mister Guetta. And to share it like this, with everyone, is even more amazing.
He knows what strings to pull and when and how..
Me making music is like a blind man in a maze with a starving guide dog looking for food.
Guetta plays almost every week in Vegas and gets paid 50 million salary. It’s worthwhile to invest the time to get the reward
Yet another proof that Guetta is able to produce his own stuff.
nah he just remade what Morten made for him, a remix that was made almost a year ago
@@LanCeeXD hahaha there's no winning against your poeple

As a 16yr old producer, this video was not only really enjoyable, it was inspiring and also taught me a few things too!
I'm jealous pal. I'm just learning and getting into it at 33, wish I had discovered it at your age!
@@paulmcconnell4619 It's never too late to learn something tho! :)

This was brilliant. Would love to see more of these!
I love him for making these videos. Very humble and sweet of him to help beginner producers learn from an absolute pro.
To be honest I love watching tdm tutorials so much, but in this video I really enjoyed and learned many things.
David Guetta is a pro dj & producer and he has a great and unique experience in his field and we can learn a lot from his tutorials.
What a great tutorial, not to much fuss about how to spend 30min on a compressor setting, just a great mind showing insights in to his genius...
Thanks David, now even a bigger fan!
Normally I'm easily getting bored at tutorials which I have to watch to improve myself but I can watch David Guetta all the time seriously, I just realized that. The time passed really fast and I didn't get bored. He is creating awesome music and my brain gets motivation to be taught by a genious. Thanks David!
At this point, David Guetta is just giving back. He has had it all.
I haven’t watched a music producing video in almost 5 years now. For some reason I saw this legend in my feed and I instantly pressed it. %100 worth every second. Makes me want to make music again. Much love
i feel the same way man, do it
This is the definition of "simplicity is a key"
This video started at 8am and finished at probably 4am next day! Like watching a time lapse! Such talent to put music together like this
DG: I'm not going to use any expensive plugins. Also DG : I'm going to use SERUM.
He made it look so easy!
This is amazing! He's fire, and I love to see the amount of work and knowledge that's needed for an artist to do they thing. Simple thing to note: the video took 30 minutes or so, but he started working with daylight and ended up in complete obscurity. There's passion, and there's hard work.
I'm halfway in and this video has more solid content than many paid classes I've taken online. Great job DG!
paying for classes? this isn't mendetory school. there are so many free alternatives
What a cracking video, David & myself hail from very diferent places musically & culturally but i appreciate any person who lets me into the studio with them as its a very personal space where very little makes sense to the person not familiar with the set up,
this is the best explanation of process ive seen. I use a diferent DAW but do have Ableton & have been meaning to give it a go properly for some time.
Truly loved this video! Hats off to David for demonstrating his production process! Much Love!
Highly appretiate the video, Dude knows exactly what to do and also how to keep it simple. Kudos
So many layers...its pretty amazing to see the artist paint his canvas... This song kicks by the way!!
This is literally seeing the creative process come to life in real time. Love it!
What a beautiful tutorial to see the master himself explaining a full track in 30 minutes 👍
he seems like such a genuine guy who is just passionate about about his work. I loved watching this video
seeing it going from day to night in this video tells us how much time it takes to create magical music
Amazing to see the movement, and steps David's doing it. His teaching is amazing ❤️🙏
Helps a lot to learn future rave even tho I don't play it but I'm a fan of it! I may start playing it soon👀😳
Huge thanks to David for sharing with us who are learning every day.
Watched the whole video in awe.. took me right back to 20 odd years ago I would mix songs into the night using dance ejay on PlayStation 1.. I was hooked and nothing else mattered but the sound.. What I got out of it was sheer enjoyment and even made a little " dance song" so to speak around 2 minutes long which I hold dearly on an mp3 player somewhere. Fond memories.. thanks for this video... guess making music has come on "soo much" since I sequenced songs together and added a few effects. Maybe I should find the song out one day and upload it
HELL YEAH
Listening to the mixed and mastered version after watching this is just so much more epic! The stabs gave some some Inception chillzzz
I never ever expected that he is so much into the details and furthermore he's great at explaining it to us! Chapeau!
I could stay all day long watching him working.
It's amazing.
Watching this and I’m already having melody ideas I want to put down on this lol big ups to David Guetta 🙌🙌🙌 Always been a role model to all
More of these please. Just watching his workflow has helped connect some dots.
I love how everything he does is simple but yet so effective
I'm amazed how all the things he is doing is simple but so effective. Goes to show less is more

This video taught me more about workflow, than any other youtube video. Thanks David
It's an absolute joy to watch someone so talented and that knows his craft so well just sit and create like this

Brilliant! Notice how he often looks away from the screen while listening back- very important to have your ear senses at 100% when recording or mixing👍
Super inspiring and crazy he makes it so easy to produce...masterclass
