Its core principle is filling the vase and continually taking things out until it is at it's core the bare minimum of what is needed to fully express the beauty of the setting of the vase, flowers, accents etc. Taking away boils everything down to a minimum and in the simplicity it shines.

This is amazing! He's fire, and I love to see the amount of work and knowledge that's needed for an artist to do they thing. Simple thing to note: the video took 30 minutes or so, but he started working with daylight and ended up in complete obscurity. There's passion, and there's hard work.

What a cracking video, David & myself hail from very diferent places musically & culturally but i appreciate any person who lets me into the studio with them as its a very personal space where very little makes sense to the person not familiar with the set up,
this is the best explanation of process ive seen. I use a diferent DAW but do have Ableton & have been meaning to give it a go properly for some time.

Watched the whole video in awe.. took me right back to 20 odd years ago I would mix songs into the night using dance ejay on PlayStation 1.. I was hooked and nothing else mattered but the sound.. What I got out of it was sheer enjoyment and even made a little " dance song" so to speak around 2 minutes long which I hold dearly on an mp3 player somewhere. Fond memories.. thanks for this video... guess making music has come on "soo much" since I sequenced songs together and added a few effects. Maybe I should find the song out one day and upload it

    0:30 simplified version
not using any expensive plugins, building everything from scratch
1:06 recommends 58 € plugin (ok, it's faster and not needed basically)
2:00 reminding us how he is only using stuff from ableton
6:10 drops in 189 $ plugin serum ( ok ok, good plugin )
    13:58 he pleads the fif
    14:23 realizing, this is it
14:45 triads are made of three notes
    15:47 checking messages
    ...
    17:20 checking messages
18:45 another plugin, although it's free
    19:50 secret sauce
    23:45 another plugin
ok i've lost entirely my interest, but at least i've seen sum serum 👍
    legend 🤘😎
