Trouble is you have to wade through a year's worth of CZcams teachers who play brilliantly but at a technical boring level, to find this man, who gives the best lesson.

I've been playing for 20+ yrs, and after watching two of your videos, I feel like a beginner. Thanks for posting this, and its back to the practice room for me!!

Derrick, You make more sense than anybody I've seen giving instructions. I've been playing since "73 off and on, and now want to go "full bore" so to speak. I've subscribe to your channel and will allow your instructions to shape my playing. Thank you very much.

Yes! Finally someone who makes sense in CZcams-lessons! I bought an altosax a few weeks ago and didn't know where a single tone where till now. I'm not completely unschooled in music sow I've managed to listen my way to some songs, but anyway. It's better to know where the little bastards are :) So Thank you! I will start practicing the C-scale now and continue watching your seasons for sure!

Loving the videos , I'm glad that I wast the only one who knot iced that the other artists teaching "the blues" were teaching an inorganic and very structured learned blues. I have always said the blues can't be learned it has to be lived, and that story pours out of us and through the instrument. Anyways, much appreciated I am looking forward to more.
