- We challenged chefs of three different skill levels - amateur Emily, home cook Lorenzo, and professional chef Saul Montiel from Cantina Rooftop - to prepare their take on chicken nuggets. Once each level of chef had presented their creation, we asked expert food scientist Rose to explain the choices they made along the way - both good and bad. Which nuggets are you dipping into first?

In my house we always make the food in the moment, not much preparation and stuff. Dishes that require days or hours of preparation are my favorites because I never had them.

@Mihael Keehl paprika is spicy to you? it's not supposed to be... it really only lends a very light flavour and mostly colour. unless it's smoked in which case it tastes, well, smoky, but not spicy. Saul's culture has a lot of spicy food but even white-bread-only folks don't struggle with paprika so maybe you're thinking of cayenne or chilli powder?
i love how emily has come so far as a chef, but remains a level 1 because of her attitude of wanting her food to be fast and easy to make even though she has gained the skill to do more as shown in the pro vs home cook series /pos

Chef Saul is officially my favorite level 3 chef you've had in these videos. He was hilarious. And I learned a lot of new things. Perfect combination.

The level 3 recipe isn't actually all that technical this time and I know for a fact my daughter would be obsessed with it. Might have to give it a try, looks delicious!
This chef often makes not too complicated recopes
Having made chicken lollipops before, you're going to want to give up about halfway through the process of lollipopping a kilo of wing flats... is genuinely the most time consuming and fiddly bit.
I was thinking the same thing. Usually the level three chef is like "first I start by growing my own chickens".

Us Cubans eat these, they are not easy to make. I buy them from a Cuban restaurant. When I brought them to my Daughters multi cultural day (thanksgiving) they disappeared in less than half an hour. Parents kept asking how I made them but I'll never tell!

Saul and Frank are the reason I still love this channel. Saul is so heartwarming, I rewatch the burrito video all the time because of it.
My dear God, Saul is just a wonderful human being. He is so nice and funny and happy. He brings the tears to my eyes at times, just by cooking those beautiful dishes and talking about them, with so much passion and joy.

Its actually not hard at all, but you do gotta let them rest for a few hours for the seasoning to absorb nicely
