This guy was the definition of an icon and one of the most controversial athletes in history. For example when George Bush visited Argentina Maradona was walking around Buenos Aires with a shirt that had Bush's face on it and said "WAR CRIMINAL" 😂
He transcended the sport and became a symbol of hope for the poor, especially in Naples and Argentina, he was very outspoken and always wore his heart on his sleeve no matter the consequences

Showing his absolute greatness because he was 100% RIGHT about Bush. It is telltale that that truth somehow is controversial. It is what media do: turning things upside down. It is only controversial because you are supposed to question those in power.

Awesome first reaction! Maradona was definitely the most talented player of all time, hands down. He didn't use his talents to their full extent and made many questionable choices in his career, but he did things with the football both in training and on the pitch that players like Zidane and Lineker claimed to be way above anyone else they ever seen. And these were players who were among the best in the world back when they were in their prime.
To see the full extent of Maradona's skill when he was at the top of his game, look at the video entitled "Diego Maradona in World Cup 86 is the Highest level a player has ever had - Unstoppable" by MatigolVidz.
He pretty much carried his team single-handedly to victory at the 1986 world cup. It's worth watching and reacting to that one.

What do you mean? He very much did. He was topscorer of the Argentinian primera division when it was one of the strongest and toughest in the world from the tender age of 16 all the way to 20. Every single year and he as per usual did not play in the strongest team most of that time.
You do not need Lineker or Zidane, but you do need to open your mind and not comment like the guy that posted this video after a mere three minutes and say it is no Messi. he is right..he is no Messi: he is Messi and a whole lot more.
      An aboslute leader
      Never whined
Never rolled over the floor asking for cards
Had the best skill of anyone by far
Was batteling it out all over the field
      By far the best passer
      Fantastic shooting, corners, freekicks, penalties
Best stability of all, rarely fell after getting out of balance
Very fast with and without the ball
The highest football IQ I have ever seen.

This guy is THE GOAT, Messi is the closest contender in the GOAT debate and I cant hate on anyone who has Messi as the GOAT.
    A Comparison:
Trophies, Messi has more , but they both have a world cup and multiple league titles in the best league in the world at the time (Maradona, in Italy in the 80's, and Messi in Spain 2010-2020)
Messi has more goals, assists, longer careeer, higher goal ratio, Although they played in different positions.
Messi was a Wing Forward (the best ever IMO) that became a False 9/Second Striker(the best ever IMO)
Maradona was "a number 10"/Attacking midfield play maker. So he was more a Midfielder than Messi, so you would expect less assists and goals.
Both won a world cup, and lead their team to victory
Messi has better close control, better change of direction, better finisher, they are pretty equal on speed and acceleration.
How is Maradona the goat you might ask? well
Abilities, better passer, stronger , tougher physically, better at heading the ball, better control in the air, better first touch in the air, less predictable than Messi, better tackler, more imaginative, did things I am yet to see anyone do (such as the flick up to kick ups to bicycle kick cross, that works and can be scored from, he did that on the regular)
Also He brought more out of his team mates. His Argentina world cup squad was actually pretty average . He really dragged them to a world cup in 86, and scored probably the greatest world cup goal ever in the quarter finals.
Also his league titles in Italy in 86 were incredible. Italy was the best league at the time. It was full of superstar powerhouse teams, and Napoli were NOT one of them. They were an average team finishing mid table. Maradona joined and they managed to win 2 league titles, pretty much because of him, they beat about 5 or 6 super teams to 2 titles,
This would be like taking Mbappe today (or a prime Messi) and giving him to Crystal Palace or Wolves in the Premier League in England. And just purely because of that one addition they go from mid table to beating Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs, Manchester United, Chelsea, Newcastle, Aston Villa all to the Prem title. Sorry would not happen, Mbappe or prime Messi , maybe 4th place I could see that, but not the title, and Maradona did it twice, and got a Uefa cup which is kind of mad.
The final reason why Maradona beats Messi in the Goat debate for me, at 18/19 when he first signed for Barcelona, Maradona had his ankle snapped by a defender. He was out for a few months. Broken ankle bones and ligament damage. Those injuries can stop a player ever being the same again. Maradona did all his best work AFTER that. The opposition literally would try to injure him and he would still take on entire defences at times by himself , and also getting the best out of everyone around him.
I am old enough to have watched both Messi and Maradona, and I cant hate on anyone who thinks Messi is the Goat ,I get why and if I was 30 years old or younger its I probably would say Messi. Messi is amazing, like truly amazing, but you ask me all time (in their prime) 11 any era....first name on my team sheet is Maradona
    my all time 11
    433 formation
    GK: Kahn
    RB: Cafu
    CB: Nesta
    CB: Ramos
    LB: Maldini
    DMC: Matthaus
    MC: Zidane
    AMC: Maradona (c)
    RWF: Messi
    CF: Ronaldo (R9)
    LWF: Ronaldinho

Have you reacted to another video of him?

The ranking of the greatest depends on the evaluation parameters you take. If you consider career, victories and statistics, the greatest is Messi followed by Cristiano Ronaldo. If instead you look at talent and simply who was the best player, in my opinion the greatest are Messi and Ronaldo Nazario, followed by Pelè and Maradona. Nobody then considers other roles. For example, Paolo Maldini and Franco Baresi were defenders of a level never equaled again.
