    There is NO other diet that has ever worked for me. I have shed off over 65 pounds within just 5 months. The best part is protein makes you feel full whereas the damn carbs no matter how much you eat you are hungry the next hour. I am a pre-med and I have studied Biochemistry thoroughly , gaining the knowledge of how your metabolism's pathways work prompted me to start this diet and look at that the Doctor in this video seems to agree with me yay!:D Just remember NO CARBS, no joke, do you want to consume carbs? Do you feel low in sugar? Eat a banana or an apple do not consume high carb diets such as bread, pasta, rice or potato. Also, try to restrict your fat intake as well so preferably, at the end of the day you prefer to burn your own fat, so choose lean meats such as chicken and fish, and DO not fry anything! Grill your meat and steam your vegetables with chicken broth. My personal best meal was protein shake, didn't have to cook it, was ready in a minute and I could have as much as like, 2 scoops of protein shake for less than 300 calories provides you with over 50 grams of protein! Try this and then tell me that you are not full! Likewise, egg whites worked just as good. Good luck guys and remember to exercise! You want to maintain those muscles!

I feel good, I don't eat bread or pasta anymore but only vegetables and fruits as carbs and I feel good and don't need other sources of carbs, i only need fats and protein, they are so underrated. I started Duromine 3 weeks ago and started eating LCHF yesterday morning. So far I've lost 6.1 kg, I was 115kg.
    A question though, I have read a lot regarding LCHF and I fully trust and believe it works, but for some reason I still feel really bad when I eat the suggested food. It's as if my minds telling me NO but I dropped 1.8kg since yesterday morning, so I know it's beginning to work. Is this normal? Will I eventually feel comfortable eating all this bacon and cream and eggs and coconut oil? I still eat lots of leafy greens and lean proteins but I still feel "guilty".

    Protein is more satiating than carbs and fat which is one of the reasons this works so well, however, protein *does* turn on insulin production too, even if to a lesser extent than carbs. The only thing that doesn't have a noticeable effect on insulin is fat. What this means is that too much protein *can* kick you out of ketosis.

    • @AnimaLibera
      @AnimaLibera Před 6 lety

      Hi Randy! Here's a rule of thumb you can use: Divide your protein grams by 3 and add the result to your carbs. If the total is 50 or less, then you can be pretty sure your body will stay in ketosis.

    • @AnimaLibera
      @AnimaLibera Před 6 lety

      It depends on how damaged your metabolism is. Water is pretty much the only thing that produces zero insulin. For some people, even black coffee will cause their insulin to go up. Fat doesn't produce much of an insulin reaction, and it will remain stable for many hours, which is what you want, so fat is an excellent choice. Green leafy vegetables are the runner up. For more detailed information, google "Eric Westman Page 4".

    • @Mia-fl9on
      @Mia-fl9on Před 6 lety +1

      Anima Libera
      It is true that most amino acids can be converted into glucose. (Leucine and lysine cannot).
      But you know what else can be converted into glucose? Glycerol.
      The glycerol molecule from triglycerides (fats). Triglycerides-the form that dietary fats take-consist of three fatty acids joined to a glycerol molecule (hence their name, tri-glyceride). When triglycerides are broken apart (such as needs to happen in order to liberate the fatty acids so they can be burned/oxidized), you’re left with individual fatty acids and the glycerol.
      The fatty acids get burned or used for some other purpose, and two glycerols can be combined to make one glucose molecule. Yes, you read that correctly: the glycerol backbones from two triglycerides can make glucose. This isn’t something that happens to a huge extent, but it can happen.
      Funny how you never hear about this possibility when people are warning you not to eat more than 20 grams of protein in a meal, but see nothing wrong with encouraging you to glug down a cup of coffee loaded with 400 calories of butter and coconut oil or to add all this extra dietary fats to your food.
      So if you’re worried about GNG from “too much protein,” then you should also be worried about it from too much fat.
      (But the truth is, you shouldn’t worry about GNG from either of these things.)

    • @AnimaLibera
      @AnimaLibera Před 6 lety

      Mia: I'm not "worried" about anything, and as I said before, water is pretty much the only thing that produces zero insulin. I was referring to the initial insulin spike after food intake which to my understanding is not the same thing as gluconeogenesis. I'm not an expert but I do a lot of research and the information that carbs and to a lesser degree protein will raise insulin (whereas the impact of fat on the insulin response is negligible) comes from reliable sources. You said "This isn’t something that happens to a huge extent, but it can happen", so where do we disagree?

I did very little weight trainig, mostly some bodyweight exercises and track and field a few times per week. i don't know how but i got 5kg of muscle and lose fat at the same time. of course i increased my calories from 2000/day to more than 3000 per day but i did not got any fat from it. I think this high protein low carb is what they do in hollywood. Anyway, at 60kg i was eating 180-200g of protein per day.

      Mason 92j my Dr has me on 30 grams of protein each meal, 10 carbs or less for breakfast, 20 carbs or less for lunch and 30-50 carbs for dinner. he advises 100 carbs or less TOTAL per day. and it works!

    im so confused after watching all kinds of videos saying to lose weight but all of them say different like someone says eat low carbs diet, someone says eat high fat high protein diet, some videos says that i should starve. im endomorphic with a height of 170 cm and weight 230 lbs. i need to lose at least 8 stones of weight , im 22 years old and a vegan. plz plz help me.

    • @hepthegreat4005
      @hepthegreat4005 Před 7 lety

      you said 230? x10 = 2300 calories approx for maintenance. -500 to lose weight. so 1800.
      get around this much of each nutrient. spread them out throughout the day. protein and fat raises metabolism and normalizes hormones, so make sure you get a little at each small snack.
      100 grams of carbs.
      110 grams of fat.
      100 grams of protein.
      make sure you keep protein at 100 grams, but you can get less of either carbs or fat. get most carbs from fibrous veggies, most fat from 'good fats' coconut oil alvocado olive oil etc.
      do weight lifting if you can and any cardio.
      some people do find that once every other week having a higher calorie, or "cheat day" will boost their metabolism and get rid of water weight.
      one thing, make sure your proteins are complete. might help to get a protein vegan powder.

    Dr I want to discuss something with you rather I'm wrong or right but I'm really suffering because about 2 years ago I weighed 125 I never had a weight problem my whole life then 2 years ago I start putting on weight I now weigh 194 at 5 ft 3 I've been on the low carbohydrate diet of 20 carbohydrates or less for years now and it isent working for me it may be that people are in charge of who gets to lose weight and live a good life and see in the mirror and on the scale and who cannot it has to be that way because I really starve myself don't go over 20 carbohydrates and I am not losing weight I'm gaining and it has to be people who are in charge of this they are probably even in charge of what some people see and feel and what life they live in the bible god talks about how they're are people who have advanced over the rest of the world and how in the last days there will be critical hard to deal with times people can be very powerful and wicked causing other humans to suffer in the bible god talks about man has dominated man to his own harm ruin so god explains that it is not him who is responsible for human suffering it is man who dominated man to his own harm ruin and Saton the devil they are not God's children they wish to do the work of they're father saton the devil who is a liar and the father of the lie it is probably cruel people so they get they're way all the time very selfish greedy people who don't care about how humans feel or nothing they would rather be mean and cruel to people causing them to suffer inside so bad it's a real strong hatred some people have and they are not happy until they completely destroy peoples life some people all they're life till they die that's how I feel about what people have done to me and it's been so long now that it has been the majority of my life and I think that I'm hated so bad that things are going to be this way for me possibly worse it looks like the situation is getting worse and it will probably continue till I die

    If Glucagon raises glucose in the body how will that effect someone with diabetes type 2 like me? Can you show us different meal plans for certain calories. On mfp it says I should have 2,160 to lose 1 lb a week. Such as 1300, 1500, 1800, 2000. Also a full day of food on each plan. I know I'm asking a lot lol.
