đŠ BOILED CRAB CLAW: Break the shell out of the claw. Serve it on a plate with lemon, spicy radish and ponzu sauce (made from soybean, cooking sake and mirin).
đŠ CRAB MEAT SUSHI: Use the crab leg meat. Place a sheet of seaweed flat down a table. Add rice, wasabi, crab meat, salmon roe and homemade sweet soy sauce. Fold and serve.
đŠ GRILLED CRAB MEAT ON CHARCOAL WITH HOKKAIDO RICE: Wrap the half the body of the crab in foil and grill on charcoal. Remove the meat out of the shell and mix them with Hokkaido rice and scallion.
đŠ GRILLED CRAB BRAIN AND MEAT: Filter the crab brain out. Take the crab meat out of the remaining claws. Wash the shell. Put the crab meat in the shell. Add the crab brain and mix. Grill the whole thing on a charcoal stove for 6 minutes. Garnish with scallions and julienned dried red chillies.

My father was a fisherman in Hobart, The captial of Tasmania. One of his biggest crabs is now in the Tasmanian Museum as its a record holder.

@@xarelesskaviar8351 No they arent overly rare. They arent caught as readily as crayfish etc due to the deep water nature of them, but we have a lot of them. When i was a child my father and his friend were purging one in a salt water tank and i used to let it grab a broom handle with its claws... it was strong as hell.

My best friend's Dad caught a big one of these when I was a kid, it was the sweetest crab meat ever. I live on the other side of Tasmania on the mainland. It's actually called an Australian (or Tasmanian) king crab. Found on the south-east coast of the mainland too. My friends dad was an abalone diver and caught it so no they don't always live half a mile under the ocean! Also one time when I was a kid my Dad was friends with a local seafood retailer and he gave us one for free! It was getting a bit old (had already been cooked).

Of course I'm not going to be paying no seven hundred dollars to eat there, and there's two variety of crabs that I'm going to be eating dungenous, and the snow crab. It's going to be so good!
