There are currently significant discussions taking place regarding aboriginal rights. These discussions shed considerable light on the matter. What Sony is accomplishing is bestowing upon people a profound sense of identity. As I witnessed you confront the weight of 60,000 years of human history, I couldn't help but be struck by your immense humility. It was as if I witnessed the presence of gods walking among mortals. This is not merely a video about food; it represents a pivotal moment for anyone who watches it. Your work epitomizes the pure essence of art restoration, devoid of any attempt to dictate or embellish. Instead, you simply observe, assuming the role of a cultural observer, a steward of civilization, and a seeker of the forgotten paths of humanity. God Bless You!

The Voice is simply an opportunity for Government's to create a constant 'balance of power' situation and a body that can be bought. The voice is hardly the insight of Aboriginal people, there is around 900,000 Aboriginals in Australia, and they all don't think the same, they will not even be consulted regarding anything 'The Voice' will be handling. The government is just creating a corruptible body (and that isn't because they are Aboriginal before anyone goes nuts, they are corruptible because the body is filled with human beings with power and access to tax money)

Right now, here in Australia, we are on the brink of a referendum that would enshrine a representative "Voice" of the the indigenous peoples to advise government on indigenous issues and lead to some self-determination and potential solutions to existing problems as the lady discussed. Bizarrely, there is a massive push-back in certain political arenas against this. As a non-aboriginal Australian, I cannot understand why people would fight against another people having their own voice to help themselves and guide to a better future, and yet, here we are. We are all Australians, but it's about time the original custodians of this land had a decent say in how they go forward.

I also don't understand the pushback against the Voice. They're not proposing to give Indigenous people a veto power, or an extra vote ... or anything like that. Rather, they are proposing to allow Indigenous people to choose representatives who could ADVISE the Parliament/Ministers. Only advise - not over-rule. I think that's very reasonable. Especially when the government is making special laws for Indigenous people ... they should get a special say in such laws.

@@moon-moth1 I would agree. The hunting of turtle and dugong on the East coast of Australia was a contentious issue some years ago. At the time, I lived in Far North Queensland and lived with locals who hunted both animals traditionally. I've had turtle at a ceremony but not dugong. Where I lived, turtle wasn't a regular meal. It was saved for important events. I was given the name 'gnawia' (gnawiya) which means Sea Turtle in the local language because I told an elder I didn't feel right, eating the turtle. She gave me an out for when someone offered it to me again. But hey, the locals could catch Barramundi all year long, so I got to eat good fish whenever the boys came over after a day on the water or at the river.
