    Ben you did absolutely the right thing getting a professional to do it all.
    Imagine you bought all the stuff cheaper and got someone to fit it then something went wrong:
    Fitter: "I didn't provide it, not my problem."
    Seller: "I didn't fit it, not my problem."
    This way you only have one person to go to.

    Is there any more land available for purchase in the area? If so, it could be a fantastic opportunity to invest in infrastructure and increase its future value. While the idea of living off the grid has a certain charm, implementing additional security could make it even more appealing. Plus, there might be a community of like-minded individuals who would be interested in affordable, creative living solutions here.

    I see that two battery storage units are Felicity Solar. What size are they?
    I can see that you have a Controller/Inverter. What make and size is that?
    What are they other boxes on the wall other than the consumer unit?
    12 panels in Thailand actually seems a lot and would have thought adequate to pump out the water during the day from the borehole as well.

    • @LifeinThailand777
      @LifeinThailand777  Před 9 měsíci +1

      The inverter is 8kw, each battery pack is 10kw (20kw total). The other units are for the generator as it’s hooked up to automatically turn itself on when the batteries drop to a specific number. I think we have it set to about 40%. So on those cloudy days etc, if the batteries charge drops to 40% then the generator kicks in. The generator powers just the batteries and the batteries power the house. Sorry if you know that already, somebody asked in an earlier comment what exactly in the house the generator powers - I’m not sure if the question was from yourself or another John 😆. Anyway I hope this helps, I always appreciate your comments 🙏🙏🙏

    You need to stop complaining about the comments made relating to your videos. You must have solar power as you are not on grid. It would be of no use to me as it would not pay for itself in less than fifteen years. Electricity is cheap in Thailand.
    You almost certainly bought your land for a low price as it is subject to flooding. Quite apart from the risk of a rising river you are near a mountain slope and you get the runoff from it.
    I am currently building my own house in Thailand and welcome helpful suggestions. I will be making videos of my house build shortly but I hope I am not tempted to seek confrontation with those people who make comments I don't like.

    • @LifeinThailand777
      @LifeinThailand777  Před 9 měsíci +3

      Wait til you’ve had a few comments on your videos and see if you’re tempted to occasionally respond or not. It’s not about wanting confrontation, it’s about being a human being. The first video I uploaded, somebody commented that my wife (who’s never been on camera BTW) was a cheap prostitute who likes to @“%#. Almost every video I’ve uploaded since then has a similarly offensively comment. I maybe respond to about 1% of them, which is obviously 1% too many, but like I said, I’m a human being and very occasionally I’ll respond.
      With regards any misinformation that ppl are spouting in the comments, I actually do think it’s important to respond, because these ppl can be so adamant in their arguments that I feel I need to address what they’re saying. Lots of ppl read the comments and will take information onboard, often as fact. When someone is screaming that I’m a fool because my off grid solar system isn’t large enough for my house, I think it would be irresponsible of me not to address his point, regardless of the fact he’s wrong.
      Anyway, thanks for your own comment, it’s appreciated 🙏🙏

    • @nigelbleddfa
      @nigelbleddfa Před 9 měsíci +1

      Sadly there are lots of ignorant people in the world and there are very few farangs married to Thai women who have not had nasty comments made about their wives. You are almost certainly familiar with the expression, "sticks and stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me". Just live by that and look down on the ignorant.
      Those who are rude, abusive and those who really don't know what they are talking about should be ignored. You have no need to respond. Just follow my advice - look down on them and don't give them the courtesy of a reply. Ignore them and they will give up.
      I do not doubt that your solar system is adequate for your present needs. I think you might have found a cheaper deal. Although I have family in Nong Bua Lamphu I am not familiar with solar costs there. Most adverts online in Thailand are rarely accurate in their stated prices and are mostly on the low side to attract customers. ( The same is true in rip-off Britain.
      I am very happy when some dope calls me a fool. I know he is jealous.😀 @@LifeinThailand777
