    I am qualified as a finacial adviser in the UK. I resigned as I could not stand working with large numbers of others who were also qualified but dishonest. An honest financial adviser is hard to find. One has to do the sums for oneself.

    Thanks Mike, great vid. Didnt mention pricing at all? I really loved that they got their safety vests and helmets on for a photo, then promptly took it all off to work, classic Thailand ;)

    Hi Mike. Nice helpful video. We installed ours in Thailand 1.5 yrs ago, same brand inverter you use and same app download problem, resolved by the installer. Note, when in the USA, I have to use a VPN, because the Chinese inverter company is blacklisted there.

    Just found out from PEA , you can install your own solar system for on grid. After install PEA will come and approve and install smart meter. I used 5kw Solax inverter on grid. 10 x 300 watt . 2 baht will be given for power fed back.there has been talk on forums it must be by approved installer , but not the case by my inquiries to pea. Enjoy the sun all. D.

    • @latandmike
      @latandmike  Před 3 měsíci

      True. Our house being new we had the correct meter when they came to inspect the solar system. We live in Sattahip. The navy runs the grid and is one of the only towns in Thailand that we cannot feed back to the grid. LOL. But we are very happy on the savings so far from the solar. About 40% each day. We are enjoying the sun but the heat is something else, as I am sure you know living here.

    Hi Mike! Interesting vlog & great to see a workforce work as a team so rapidly, neatly & efficiently, - I wish we could have the same service in Europe! Will you have a small battery installation later to run the AC through the night?
    Nice video work too!
    We’re back December through March - catch up then! Duncan.

    • @latandmike
      @latandmike  Před 10 měsíci

      Hello Duncan…….I ask about battery back up to run an AC at night and they said it would be pretty costly. At this point we’re gonna try just with what we have to see what the savings are and maybe in the future look in the batteries but I think it’ll have to be quite a few batteries. Great to hear you’re coming back to Thailand let us know and we will definitely hook up.

    Definitely an organized, efficient, professional crew and installation. The panels go will with the dark color of your roof and are fairly non-obtrusive. Also like how they were careful of your home and belongings by using padding, protection, etc. Even the padding wrapped around the ladder when leaning it against the wall.

      195,000 Baht. 5KW on grid. System states savings of 40%. When the bill comes it’s half of what it used to be.

    Do you have a battery installed on your solar system? Or are you only using the solar during the day so it supplements your electricity on the grid? I'm fully off grid and I can run one air con during the night. I have no utility bills on my off grid homestead in Thailand 🇹🇭. How much did your system cost for everything ? 🙏

    • @latandmike
      @latandmike  Před 5 měsíci

      It is a on grid system. No battery. So at night we use the grid. Installed 5KW 195,000 baht. Surprisingly our electric bill was cut in half. Thanks for watching.

      At 1100 a month I wouldn’t. ROI would take probably 10 years. Ours was 6500 now on average 3200 so we will see ROI in 4 to 5 years. Hope this helps.
