I was kinda involved in the psychology field and also eventually opened up the door of meditation, for e.g. My experience is that since since I confessed "Jesus Christ is Lord" I have been in a process of transformation. From "mundane things" like I am not up to the same type of music, I know listen basically to hymns and psalms. To more profound things. For e.g. I used to be attracted also to men and by now that is not a reality anymore. 2 years without dating any guy, when in the past I would be a so-called manwhore. This is not from effort, but through His grace. There is power in the Blood of Jesus Christ. Yesterday I was with a person that was very close to me, and said to me something like "it is so weird, it is not you anymore". It is a spiritual transformation. That is ongoing (called santification).

This is not a complete presentation of what Ray Comfort believes. 1) What does he teach repent means? 2) What does he teach about the works required afterwards to prove your salvation? (which is another gospel altogether than the bible)

Jesus alone saves! We first need to know we are sinners in need of a Savior. God’s moral law reflects an image of His righteousness and our sinfulness. Repentance is more important for us to recognize and act upon. Once we have asked Jesus to forgive and change who we are we will want to let go of the old sinful self and be born again. Only He can make that change within us and then the Holy Spirit enters into our hearts and lives, it’s only through Jesus we are made anew! Guys the true gospel is so simple. Christ who is God in the flesh died for man to be seperated from sin because he came to give new life, was buried to set free the captives in paradise and anyone else alive from the law which condemns and be raised again to conquer death and be an assurance of his promise. Someone who simply trusts Christ did this receives this free gift not of works or anything they do but simply by grace (God's merciful favour) through faith (our child like faith). Most people would define the way Ray Comfort defines repent as to "get your life on track for god", "stop sinning", "God saved you from sin so try harder not to sin or your lose your salvation". However, repent is always used in scripture in all contexts as a changing way of thinking (thinking affects acting so its not repenting works) to the end where the current way of thinking is wrong and it is known. Repent is so misused today especially by this man although i dont knock him with everything. To put it simply, repent means to reconsider the truth which has been ignored from the current wrong thinking. Repent is not a work, repent is usually not best said because of such a massive wrong view of the word and its true meaning. Many people who use repent need to repent of their definition of repent because its wrong.

What you have said is false. Jesus took our punishment ao we don't have to. We must trust in Jesus and repent.
Jesus alone saves! We first need to know we are sinners in need of a Savior. God’s moral law reflects an image of His righteousness and our sinfulness. Repentance is more important for us to recognize and act upon. Once we have asked Jesus to forgive and change who we are we will want to let go of the old sinful self and be born again. Only He can make that change within us and then the Holy Spirit enters into our hearts and lives, it’s only through Jesus we are made anew! Baptism is just an outward expression of the inward change…..
Guys the true gospel is so simple.
Christ who is God in the flesh died for man to be seperated from sin because he came to give new life, was buried to set free the captives in paradise and anyone else alive from the law which condemns and be raised again to conquer death and be an assurance of his promise. Someone who simply trusts Christ did this receives this free gift not of works or anything they do but simply by grace (God's merciful favour) through faith (our child like faith).
Most people would define the way Ray Comfort defines repent as to "get your life on track for god", "stop sinning", "God saved you from sin so try harder not to sin or your lose your salvation". However, repent is always used in scripture in all contexts as a changing way of thinking (thinking affects acting so its not repenting works) to the end where the current way of thinking is wrong and it is known. Repent is so misused today especially by this man although i dont knock him with everything.
To put it simply, repent means to reconsider the truth which has been ignored from the current wrong thinking. Repent is not a work, repent is usually not best said because of such a massive wrong view of the word and its true meaning. Many people who use repent need to repent of their definition of repent because its wrong.
God gave you free will. But he'll punish you if you don't use it the way he says.
If you eat candies and cake all the time won't you get fat and have health problems? You can choose to not eat sweets or you can choose to do it, but if you do you're going to have issues. Just like this, you can choose sin or God. But if you choose sin (and we sin more than we eat sweets probably) it's only going to bring death. Jesus died and defeated death, so that those who believe in Him can live. Are you gonna choose Him or sin?

Yes, God is holy and just, you have free will to choose. The choice is yours and there are consequences for knowing what’s right and then knowingly choosing what’s wrong, our free will can take us away from where we need to be. So don’t blame God for your own choices!

But you miss use the word repent. Jesus told the Pharisees, "unless you repent, you will all likewise perish. What did He mean? Unless they believed He was their Messiah, they would not be saved. So, what does repent for salvation mean? It means to go from unbelief to belief. It is the Greek word, metanoia. It simply means to change your mind, and BELIEVE on Jesus for the free gift of everlasting life. Romans 6:23.The gift of God is eternal life, through Jesus finished work on the cross plus nothing.
IF you have accepted Jesus free gift of eternal life, you have repented. You accepted the free gift. You changed your mind about how to be saved forever. First Corinthians 15:1-4 is the only gospel that saves sinners which we all are. James 2:10. If you have offended in one point, you are guilty of the whole law.
So yes, if you have looked at a woman with lust in your heart, you are condemned to hell forever. But God sent His only Son to pay for all the sins of everyone in the world. First John 2:2. Making a claim does not require evidence. What it requires is a public presentation of a greater claim with evidence of that. FIrst in time, first in line. The reason this age wants to elimate the bible and the gospel is because they cannot produce a superior claim and evidence for it.

Written by man inspired and lead by God. Throughout the bible, there are all these different authors of different times, different cultures, and different views. And they all speak in unision of God. If you trust your history books then trust the manuscripts as well. Now it's just a matter of believing in if there is a God. And there's ways to do that.
