A dramatic short film which explores life as a student, domestic violence, abortion, over protection and mental health. Main protagonist, Raheem, is perplexed when he hears that his girlfriend, Yasmine, is pregnant. Raheem's reaction puts Yasmine into an emotional state in hopes of finding common ground. What has Raheem got in store for Yasmine and his unborn child?

I dont think a woman should ever keep a man that dont want to be a father, I dont see how it could ever be a mentally healthy situation for anyone involved. The scariest part, is the child will suffer the most. I was violently raped, and I got pregnant from it. I dont believe in abortions (that's just me) and as I had to fight for my healing, and how to deal with a child conceived in this, I was terrified. I kept my baby, and she is my greatest blessing. It's different than this story, but Ide rather raise my child alone, than with someone who never wanted to be a dad. Keeping my daughter, was my choice. Not everyone could do this. For you youngsters out there, guard yourself! Take precautions. Best advice is abstinence!

I hate to say as a mother and women a child is a blessing but when you both are in a stable and healthy relationship and understand what it means to bring a child into this world.

Thatâs the issue that people donât want to address. He didnât want a child. She literally forces it on him. If she wants a baby. Have the baby and then go away. Donât force it. He needs to realize the blessing it is on his own.

@@WomenofGod21 She "force the baby" by the way she delivered the message. It was a doom and gloom announcement with no real discussion. Of course, it's her body and her life as well. She can definitely keep the baby. But she should also respect that this baby will alter his life as well. So don't disappear and ignore your bf until you feel you're ready to talk. Then tell him what you are going to do with or without him. That's not partnership. He was clearly young and immature. He was overwhelmed and killed himself. She should have told him I'm pregnant and I need some time to think. So do you. Let's talk in a week with our parents. We need to support each other. I have friends that were teenage mom. 20 years later the kids are healthy and happy. Two of the couples are married now.

A good friend will give good advice and if possible support such as this friend did.We never know the mental state someone's in, their weakness or strength. In our society men have been denied the right to express their deepest feelings and so many learn to hold them in , this woman was reaching out to him because she loved him and that's a good thing, however his words were a sign of a very disturbed person that could have been her life he took. Mental illness is nothing to play with! I particularly like that it was written from a man's perspective. This was an eye opener. Great film! Thank you.

Right. so, there's so much going on in this short film. I understand his mental health wasn't good, that's obvious & definitely had some undiagnosed illness but killing himself right in front of her whilst she's also carrying his child that he threatened to also kill is selfish! He must of been in a lot of pain to end it like that but totally not fair on her.
This is why we have to take responsibility for our mental health because in more ways than one it affects the people we love. We can't change what happened to us in the past but we can choose how the future generation comes up. This is something very real in the black community.
You owe it to YOURSELF to heal from things that happen to you & when we make an effort to heal then we won't bleed all over people who are genuinely trying to love us.

WOW, really deep watching this film, so many different messages came to my head after watching.
When her mate said itâs your baby, that really touched a nerve because it is both of their decisions, why does the mother have to have the last say.
Iâve just recently found out Iâm
Having a third child by the same mother, and To be honest I did try to say itâs too much, weâre 28 with a 7 year old & a 1 year old.
the emotions I had to take on board was unbearable, thereâs so much more to just saying oh weâre having another baby. Finance,stability,bigger house,the list goes on.
It really got me when he stabbed himself, I just thought jheez that kids potentially going to grow up with no father.
