Sharon's such a nice cook. Makes everything delicious 😋 You are fabulous! Thank you 😊
Thankyou Becky x
That cake looks absolutely delicious 😋, great job.
Thanks for the recipe and your very good advice Sharon - re: adding more water and time to finish baking❣️ I think young Evie is a really sweet young girl- so polite always and it’s obvious she loves spending time with her grandparents! BTW, I noticed Evie enjoying the cake 🍰
How about a pineapple upside-down cake - or, as the Australians would call it, a pineapple right-way-up cake!
That’s taken me back a bit Arthur, it was the first cake I ever made in home economics many years ago, good joke by the way. Regards from Yorkshire
@@jodif916 I did a carrot cake once, in a cookery class in art college - I was surprised to find that it was actually made with carrots - whoever thought of turning a vegetable into a cake ingredient?
@@jodif916 me too🤣
@@arthurvasey I like a nice carrot cake, I was surprised how much carrot when I made one a long time ago and it turned out ok, thank you for your comment have a good day Arthur. 😊
@@arthurvasey P.S baking in Art college?
I have the 15-1 Max but I’ve never baked a cake, now feeling inspired, thank you both!

From Australia 😊
Bet that would be even more gorgeous with some lovely custard poured all over a slice and have as a pudding. Yummy

The cake looks lovely Sharon, all you need is some cream like you said it some custard. I made a lemon one in the cosori dual blaze last week and it turned out lovely. What a difference having an element on the bottom as well.

Thank you for your excellent CZcams, brilliant guidance and very entertaining. It is really helpful when you get a new bit of kit and as you say it doesn’t always turn out as the ‘book’ says. I would have tried some of the things you did, it saved me the time. Fab😊
That looked so good. I will have a go. Good willpower Martin 👍👍
Hi Martin and Sharron brilliant cooking again looks really good Sharron
Looks delicious Sharon shame Martin can’t have a piece, Evie looks like she was enjoying it. 😊
Will have to give this a go, I have a Phillips XXL. I have done your other cakes ,but not with water, I will have to check the instructions first though to make sure I can put water in the base. Elaine from Queensland,Australia.
I make one very similar it has Cinnamon sugar printed on top which gives a love crisp on top

That looks really tasty Sharon I bet Martin was wishing he could have some Evie is a lovely girl and I'm laughing at Merlin going back and forth hoping for a crumb or two keep up the good work
Looks yummy, I will definitely try this. Thank you for showing us how to cook sensible British recipes in this Ninja (my daughter bought me this Ninja but I am struggling to find recipes for it. I bought a recipe book for this Ninja but they were all American style foods)
Our pleasure!
👋 I just made this apple cake but I done mine in the Cosori air fryer oven that you showed us on another video as I don’t have that steamer and the cake come out really nice
Sounds great!
Thks ❤
Beautiful Evie
I love liking the do
That looks yummy xx do you think you could do in it the normal duo ninja please as id love to try this . Thankyou 😊
Yes you can
It was kids perks to lick the bowl and wooden spoon when I was a kid baking with Mom or Granny , great times and memories and never did me any harm apart from fighting siblings for the first lick , get in there Martin full metal jacket and go deep 👍🏻.
That looked yummy Sharon. I've got the Ninja speedi which has the steam/bake option to I'll cook it in there. I made a chocolate cake in there and it was really lovely, I know chocolate cake doesn't do it for you tho'. Apparently, children, pregnant women and the elderly shouldn't eat raw egg, I do sometimes wonder if some things are just slightly over the top these days, but who am I to say eh?🤣🤣
Yum
Great vid as usual. Side note Sharon, your current hair colour is stunning. It actually takes years off you. Love you two. Love from Ireland xx
Thankyou Annie x
@@shazb4874 ❤️❤️❤️
Looks lovely thanks Sharon and Martin,How long and temperature in a cosori please. 😊x
I would try 165 deg C for 30 mins as we did.
We need a Butlers empire cookbook!!!
I agree. I’ve suggested this before.
Looks lovely does that Sharon
Sounds tasty, I might do 50% Brown sugar,50% regular sugar, and a tad more cinnamon
Hi Sharon n Martin
Could you use a silicone cake case instead of the metal one.
Thks
Yes you can!
Brilliant - I haven’t got the steam bake function. Could you do a cottage loaf in it?
I don't see why not
Right that’s a wee project for the weekend because it’s such a waste putting the whole oven on for one loaf but if this works it’ll be a game changer.
Oh what a lovely cake Sharon are you going to cook your Christmas cake in the ninja pressure cooker
Hi guys.. i do love the air fryers myself but reading alot recently about some harmful products? Need a certain type of air fryer to be safe nely stainless steel ? Have you any knowledge of this🤔 much love, love your vids and chemistry especially 😘✌️
We don't listen to scaremongering. There's more danger in all the processed foods we all have been eating for the last 50 years.
YUM YUM
Eat your heart out Mary Berry!😋😋
hi is the inside teflon or ceramic.thanks.
Would like to see you make a loaf of bread on steam bake ?
it would go nice with a cup of tea
Some walnuts in there would be nice too
Looks really nice, would it taste nice without the apple and if so, what jam would you recommend for the filling?
I say put in you favourite jam xx
@@shazb4874 Thank you
Lovely Jubbly! Do you think a lot of the steam was absorbed by the cake?
Probably kept it moist.
hi Sharon, bless you, just watched your wedding lovely to see some people do work together just like me and hubby 44 years this year. sorry Sharon i do go on 🤪 your apple cake can it be done in a steamer it is a ninja but not steam bake. If it is possible please let me know. thank you both for a very down to earth and enjoyable couple. cheers Sandra xx
I would give it ago x
I would like to send you a picture but don’t know how 😊I love your recipes you are great couple 🥂🤗🤗
It looks lovely but my ninja doesn’t have a steam bake option. Any advice?
We just put water in the bottom
Haven’t had that in years
The Apple cake sharon made look great i enjoy watching your videos they are great paul from Ireland slán go fóill anois
Hiya Sharon and Martin, can i use a 8" Spring loaded tin on this Apple cake?
Yes that is perfect.
@@butlersempire thank you
Can you just check after 30! Mins etc
I still eat left overs batter and still alive 😂
Boy I remember having dark egg, oh did it smell, it put me of eggs foe ages, not nice if you were to crack into a bowl with others. A bit of a waste. Cake looked good.
Martin…. How did you resist😮
Can you make this in th e AF 400 . With water
Yes you can
Would love to try the apple cake but don’t have steamer , what temperature would you recommend in air fryer or electric oven? I am fast becoming a convert l now make sauces and Yorkshire puddings the Sharon way 😊have also purchased Himalayan pink salt , many thanks for all you do enjoy your holiday 21.55
@@MariaHawra-ct2ix Try 165 deg C at 30 mins as we did.
Oh dear I just went and made this...... But measured in mls and not grams 🙄😫🤔 trying my luck but it's probably going to be a disaster 😂
Its a steam bake setting, isn`t it supposed to use all the water then bake at the end? If water (and steam ) was still there then cake would be soggy. Just a thought...
Not at all, the cake was not soggy.
Only raw egg I ever drank was known as a Bombay oyster lol
