I could not imagine the stress them fuel and ammo drivers had to go through, likely with no escort to keep as low a profile at night most likely and drive through the lines off-road in trucks not to well designed for it

This group actually did sneak into the town behind a convoy. The Germans thought they were captured T-34s.
The one disadvantage of having captured vehicles.
@@adamtruong1759 Yeah that must have been a real issue, if those are captured tanks you don't want to be the first German to panic and open fire and kill friendlies. With the tanks so brazenly driving and not looking hostile you probably just had lots of kids sitting there staring at them confused. Reminds me of how some robberies have been pulled off just by dressing as employees and being confident.

I recall reading a trick some more experience T-34 crews learned was that since the T-34 had 45mm of sloped armour on all sides you could turn the tank 45 dgrees to incoming fire and make the armour even more effective by making it sloped horizontally as well as vertically.

Would like to see later down the line some Little Saturn recreation of raid on Tatsinskaya airfield.First start with fighting some ad hoc Italian and German forces and progressing towards the airfield, although fighting through German tank counterattack later on would be almost suicidal, together with large German airborne artillery.

Wow, loved it. Amazing add-on to an amazing game. One of the few things I found mildly disappointing about tank crew was I thought the missions were a little short, I don't think they all need to be quite this long but somewhere in between would be nice.
P. S. I might be wrong but it appears to me like you've been recently using various camera angles more often in the final edited versions of the videos you post (at least for tank crew and regular il2-gb) and I'm really liking it. I appreciate the work!
Yeah this mission and the next one are quite long. It certainly makes things interesting haha.
Is it possible to wreck enemy halftracks by ramming them? It could save ammo if its actually safe to without risking damage to your tank
This raid has the spectacle potential to be in a major AAA game.

At the start that is a Column formation, line is when the tanks are abreast of each other to the front of the enemy. Not criticising just giving info about formations.

Just a couple of things, the IS series of tanks didn't exist in late 41, the T-34 model the main guy here is driving was put in service in the spring of 1942 ...other than that 👍

That stuka bomb got a little too close for comfort
Nice video! The AI doesn't seem so great though, with maybe the exception of the Stukas. The AI opponents even in Red Orchestra I with regards to tanks seems better than this is and that game is 15 years old.
Every time I hear someone call a StuG a tank I cringe and flash to zombie apocalypse novel series by John Ringo "It's not a Tank!"
Tank rolls off the tongue a bit easier and quicker than saying tank destroyer everytime.

Honest question: Is the AI so poor or? I mainly see enemy tanks just standing there waiting to get shot. I want to get this one eventually and most likely will spent most time offline playing it
I think most of the tanks that I was shooting at had already been disabled and I was just wasting my ammo. I have not really had an issue with the ai to be honest. They do pretty much what you expect them to. The Stugs seem to be a bit wonky though.
Scripted campaign and difficulty setting -
the A.I has been improved from the time when they are able to shoot you through the forest , not perfect but a work in progress

This is part of the mission. These missions are based on real events. In real life they were able to sneak into the town behind a German convoy.

Not discounting your gameplay here man, but your submarine videos can't be matched. Each is like an awesome series on HBO or something. Your viewer metrics in those vs. this back my opinion.
I think the quality in all of my videos is more or less the same.

german tanks used petrol,russian used diesal,why would there be a re-aeming base for russians,surley the germans would have destroyed it,even the smmo is different,good vid btw
You can see the trucks come through the forest. It actually wasn't too far from the front line. I thought I mentioned it but I could have cut it.
Most russian tanks were bt-5 and t-60 which used petrol
I would say that the Germans would capture it to be refined into gasoline. At the later stage of the war the Germans was desperate for any type of fuel.

Nope not really. I was just in a better position than them. 90% of ensuring a successful engagement is proper positioning.
