- Hi! My name is Alli and I am the owner of Nomad Boutique. I always dreamt of starting a clothing boutique and being my own boss. Thanks to my amazing customers this dream is now a reality and I want to help you make your dreams come true too.

$48,000 seem like a lot but when I think about it.......the car I literally plan on getting in 2 weeks (Lexus RX) is almost $43,000 🤔 I would definitely keep riding around in my little Rinky-dink Honda that is paid off and definitely invest in my dreams. Instead of getting another vehicle that I want but don’t need. This video just made my day because no one ever breaks down and talk about real number as it applies to opening a store. I’m sure I can do it with spending less then the amount you spent. I’m so eager and ready to just do this now 🤗 thanks for this video and give your handy man (bf) a big high five for the craftsmanship. The store looks amazing 🤗
FashNForward Daily I drove a shitty Subaru around for the first couple years that I was open. It was definitely a humbling car to drive with it’s cracked windshield and all. Invest in your business first so you can buy multiple Lexus’s down the road. I just bought a new Jeep last year and sold the Subaru!
Keep in mind that this budget was for a big space. You can start a lot smaller with a lot less money! 💕

Take a loan. It's worth it if you are determined to put effort into it. You'll end up making more money from it than what you borrowed.

I just quit my medical assistant career after 18 yrs and have had this on my list of things I really wanted to do for probably just as long! I was expecting the cost to be so much more. This video is absolutely amazing, I love your honesty. I will definitely check out ShopKeep later. I've been using PayPal as a POS and for online sales, but I feel like they take alot out for fees and I'm not seeing the value in keeping them. Your costs are very good. I know that the SBA here in L.A. have business start up loans for around $50,000 - $150,000 . I think that many of us get frazzled in the very bare bones beginning with filing incorporation papers. Like the $70 to register your LLC and the up-front $800 for CFTB to obtain our EINs, especially when just starting out. It took me a long time because of those very beginning costs that the costs for starting up a shop looks less threatening, lol

That's a wonderful video covering a lot of information quickly! It really doesn't cost as much as I thought it would to open a boutique. A friend of mine is working on creating numerous stores and I will be partnering with her in the business. Each store will probably be about 4x the size of yours. So, we'll see how it all goes.
