    Masterful performance by Floyd, simply outclassing Corrales. Mayweather is in a whole different level. Haters will be haters but you have to appreciate the skills...

    This is one of the few times Floyd ever had to use all of abilities together in a fight. Usually he just pot shots a guy. Note the beautiful jab to the stomach and head. He knew Chico was a serious dude. Props to Floyd on his best performance!

    Stick and move has its merits but good head and shoulder movement can slip and dodge punches, but you stay in the pocket and keep scoring, that takes skill and balls. Floyd would stick and then grab on or put 8feet of distance between him and his opponent, props to him for being able to do that but its hardly standing toe to toe. You can avoid being hit w/o dancing across the ring every time u land a combo

    @kebbun1 thats cuz he hasn't had to...since he moved to 147 he hasnt really had to worry too much about it since those guys arent as quick as guys at lower weights...not only that...but he has to plant his feet more to put more power behind the punches than he did back at that weight...i bet if he had to you'd see him move like this...he said it himself tho...people say he runs so he'll stand and fight...but ppl will turn around and say his legs is gone cuz of it and he cant move anymore

    @trumpetids Its like that in all sports. People take it to the exciting factor and think that all sports should be that way. Like Basketball. the Spurs and Pistons got such little respect but were probably some of the best teams in the last 15 years

    as a pure boxer floyd is the best ever. the only thing stopping him from being the best ever is the pacman fight. true great fight anyone who threatens their No,1 position regardless of money involved.

    "mayweather is running, hiding and hitting." That is from Merchant and is a compliment. He has nothing but respect for the boxer, just doesn't like the man. Get over it.

    @noszondi I'm not sure what you mean by that. How else did he beat a bigger guy? He jabbed kept his distance, kept moving, tired Corrales out, and then went to town on him. If that isn't pure boxing skill I don't know what is.

    Touche. Let me revise my statement to "hasn't fought any of the current top-10 welterweight".
    Hatton & Baldomir were impressive wins, but FLoyd doesn't seem to want to prove himself by fighting peoplewith a good chance of winning

  • @blacktee31

    u right the same one (vernon forest god rest his soul) beat twice, i am a big fan of floyd but i am not bias unlike some these pacman fans that knows nothing about boxing,since 2007 floyd hasnt fough an top 147 fighter,the oscar fight was 154 which is jr middle and ricky move up to fight him with that said like fact he is fighting shane.

  • @PhflyDan1
    @PhflyDan1 Před 14 lety

    Obviously the guys he is fighting(?) now are bigger, possibly hit harder. But if Floyd was still performing like THIS?? He possibly would not have the legions seeking his blood.. But by the same token, Manny now fights differently too. Mr Roach even stated it that he had to change or risk being KOed. Imagine Corrales vs Pacquiao??? At this weight or the 1 above... That would be like him fighting Paul Williams bless...!

  • @jagboola
    @jagboola Před 14 lety

    Dela Hoya was Ranked top 10 when Mayweather fought him and he was coming of a destruction of Mayorga. Baldomir was the undisputed welterweight champ when Mayweather fought him, Ricky Hatton was the undefeated jr welterweight champ and pound for pound runner up to Mayweather at the time of there fight. Hell even Zab Judah even though he was coming off of a lost was still Ranked 9th or 10th in the division, so what are you talking about?

    yeap i totally agree but floyd had a reach advantage in this fight. mayweathers reach is 72" 183 cm and Diegos was 70″ / 178cm so Corrales height did not make any difference in this bout tho lol just saying. Btw thats a good old school boxing battle!!

    @hallowedbethygame2840 Před 14 lety

    @Midnightrambler3760 lol dude...I don't even know where to begin. you have formed your opinions and I am unlikely to change them but:
    1) Cotto won the first couple rounds and looked good until he got hurt. whether he lost or not, he was bigger + stronger than pac
    2) pac-may was supposed to happen, and when it didn't who else is pac supposed to fight? clottey fought an effective if boring fight, and he marked pac's face pretty well

  • @Tonio99
    @Tonio99 Před 14 lety

    @Midnightrambler3760 probably so, i just mean that no matter what the weight mayweather isnt going to come into the fight looking starved like de la hoya did

  • @adxgr0undzer0
    @adxgr0undzer0 Před 14 lety

    Now that I think about it, I never took it into consideration, that De La Hoya fought Pacquiao at his weakest point probably ever?
    he just came out of a fight, he's old, he's rusty, he's taking care of a company on the other part. Etc.
    Holy shit, honestly imagine having to do the shit Oscar did.
    Go home work out, fuck wife, eat, be on frustrating phone calls 8 hrs a day etc.

    @truBoxingfan Před 14 lety

    @HallowedBeThyGame manny could have faught Yuri but he prob would have lost. see people dont relize no one fights a fighter they know or think can beat them. You fight fights you honestly think you can win . thats why they didn't want mosley after hatton . Roach knows style wise Mosley is a threat to Manny . and style wise Floyd is the better fight. floyd is going to move and not engage while shane will .

  • @Snortpizza
    @Snortpizza Před 13 lety

    @gonzomoya420 leonard was fast a.f. and his footwork was great..
    leonard can take hits too. i think he would've gave floyd a run for his money tbh.

  • @brixtonmystery
    @brixtonmystery Před 13 lety

    @runrunforest5 So, so, so ignorant.....FMJ called him out, Prince didn't want it. No way Prince even wins a round against Floyd.

  • @yourclimax
    @yourclimax Před 12 lety

    If you think he is running then you're just foolish. It's about hitting and not getting hit. When Mayweather retires he won't sound like a beaten up man with slur speeches like Holyfield.

  • @mgonzalezjr1986
    @mgonzalezjr1986 Před 12 lety

    As much as floyd fights masterfully, and executed the sweet science to the T, it just is so boring to watch him run so much, I mean I know that's "defense" and "ring generalship" and all that good stuff but its still so damn boring. Just saying...

  • @Dale1cool
    @Dale1cool Před 13 lety

    @runrunforest5 And only just saw your comment when you said: " Mayweather's not in Hame's class". I mean how can you even think that? I'm sorry but that is a complete joke of a comment.

  • @jagboola
    @jagboola Před 13 lety

    @gonzomoya420 I don't know Leonard, Hearns, and Hagler would give him a run. Leonard could possibly beat him...

  • @brixtonmystery
    @brixtonmystery Před 13 lety

    @runrunforest5 Did you see Hamed against Kelly? Barrera? Others who put him on his ass? He was fundamentally flawed. A hall of famer imo, but a flawed fighter. Floyd is about 3x better.

  • @hallowedbethygame2840
    @hallowedbethygame2840 Před 14 lety

    @Midnightrambler3760 uhhhh, pretty much everyone he's fought recently has been comparable in skill and considerably larger than him--unlike money may who tuned up on the best lightweight fighter and is fighting Mosely now that he's old and decrepit

  • @truBoxingfan
    @truBoxingfan Před 14 lety

    @HallowedBeThyGame what fight did you watch ? floyd beat oscar . and oscar was not drained thats bs he refused to weight in so you know he was over the 154 mark. floyd came in under weight at 150 a weight he never been at . so stop the bs facts are facts . excuses and floyd beat hatton when he was undefeated with 10oz gloves !! manny used 8oz lighter gloves if your going to tell it , tell everything dont live information out !

  • @Dale1cool
    @Dale1cool Před 13 lety

    @runrunforest5 I'm sorry but to be honest, lets look at the facts. Mayweathers was (still is) faster then Naz, he is more technical, he has a better defence, hits harder and has a good chin. He ticks all of the boxes. And not to start an argument or anything, but if you think Naz is better then Mayweather you don't know much about the fine beauty of boxing.......

  • @ManicDepressive101
    @ManicDepressive101 Před 13 lety

    Come forward and get hit, come forward and get hit, come forward and get hit. Throw no punches in the meantime. Was this the strategy in Corrales's corner? PATHETIC and this is the fight that Floyd Mayweather Jr. fans point to to prove that has indeed fought an undefeated young fighter in his prime. I can't even watch the rest of this ridiculous crap. One guy throws one or two punches at a time and then runs while the other one comes forward and throws no punches. This is boxing?
