Man I love this man. This is boxing at its best man. I learned so much from watching this fight. You have to smart to actually follow along whats actually going on in the fight. These two guys are amazing. Especially Floyd.
This was the first Floyd fight I really watched and where I became a fan. What you can't see and here in this low res version is Zab taunting and cursing Floyd through the first half of the fight. I came to love his composure and focus in the ring. When you talk about the best and greatest fighters of all time, you have to ask if the fighter was able to come back from being down several rounds and can/how he wins when the opponent is faster or stronger IMO. Judah was slightly faster but Floyd was way smarter.
@NoxDeadly I scoured a bit for the article and got tidbits of what happened? But when did they meet and how old were they? I'm excited to find out more about this.
Mayweather is the best Boxer of this generation - period , each of his fights a masterpiece - never felt bored watching him , if you are looking for a slug fight go and watch a pub fight (we got tons of them here in London ) , watching Floyd is watching an artist - control and precision - this is what boxing is all about and even if he does not "engage" as some like to say , he never loses his composure - even being under constant attack - this is for me braveness , courage . simple !
Agreed. I know Floyd prepared himself for being forced against the ropes and in the corner, Cotto impressed me a lot but more so offensively than defensively.
equote: I like the idea of what you pointed out here. Slip left and bang to the body with a counter left hook. We've seen Manny do this to Oscar and Cotto. Very effective combination. It'll make Floyd think twice about overusing the straight right. Also, Manny will have many different counters for Floyd's straight right, guaranteed.
THANK YOU Lennox... I would've called it a knockdown too and a pretty clear one at that. A 10-8 second round could've changed the course of the whole fight... maybe
@TheNigerianScammer Where did that come from? I never asked you if you boxed before nor did I say that you didn't know boxing, all I want know is what makes you think that Judah won 5 rounds when he was getting dominated after round 5? Exactly which 5 rounds did he win according to you?
@9budah3 yes but I actually noticed it last 60 seconds of round 3. Floyd pressed Zab, closed the distant with the lead right...then smothered any counter. Also that jab to the pit of the stomach is a staple in Floyd's game..and it takes its toll.
that pull counter right left hook to the body at 9:30 hurt judah pretty bad just watch. The move was so flawless this is one of the reasons that mayweather is the best
@PhoenixEdwards I can see that the white could make it look bigger. Plus now that I look at Zabs glove looks a little tighter around the wrist area making it look a little smaller. Idk...lol Its in the past.
Floyd's reflexes are simply ridiculous. I mean look how he pulls back. At same time only person with skills to beat Mayweather was Judah and he simply did not have enough heart to win.
htown: You bring up some great points here! Manny does have all the qualities that you have mentioned and would be a great test against Floyd's boxing intellect. The only way I see Floyd winning, based on what he has shown the world, is by keeping a tactical distance from Manny. If he let's Manny in combination range, Manny will setup effective combinations that will keep Floyd busy guessing where he will need to guard. Floyd needs to tactically retreat.
what a great fight for these two warriors!zab great south P. and also fast ,powerful.but i think pacman has more to offer. mayweather will be surprise!
i dont know much bout boxing but why did floyd have his hand down when he threw that right cross and got knocked down? was he suppose to have his other hand up?
@OmarTheGuy Yes that is true but Floyd did another great pattern. He didn't shoot a true jab. He did a "touch and shoot". Touch with the left and quickly shoot the right. Basically same effect. After the right hand..hit, graze or miss, sometimes before Zab could counter he was hit with a left hook to the body because of his position...i.e. trying to avoid the straight right. Brilliant analysis and work by Floyd.
@PushingUpTheAnte The look bigger because of the wraps, Zabs wraps go down lower so on Floyd's more of the glove is seen than Zab's. They're also wearing a different brand I think because Floyd's hands are easily injured.
I respect your opinion. My opinion is this, everyone can look great or bad in the beginning of a fight, means nothing (unless ur rickey hatton). Boxing is about adjustments and adapting to your opponent. One fighter is consistently able to do it, the other wishes he could. if you watch the fight again, pay attention to the first 4 rds and then from 5 to 12 mayweather picks him apart. I agree styles do make fights and based on mays history the patient fighter not the brawler gives him trouble.
Almost forgot what a beast Zab was. Outclassed a very talented Mayweather early in the fight but ran out of gas. So much talent but just didn't have the right mentality. Lost so many fights that he shouldn't have. As for this Pac vs May thing, IMO it could go either way. I think Pac most likely would win because of his power and weird angle punches that I can't see Mayweather escaping but if he can figure something out I think Floyd could win if it somehow went the distance.
@fredizzle23 where is the ass kicking? at 3:36 you see Floyd backing Judah up, then you see him throw a hook and Judah moves away into the corner and gets hit with a left and a straight right, before moving away again. Floyd is the one doing the attacking, so how is he getting his ass kicked?
pacman: well, let's just break down what technically happened on this sequence. Floyd initially had a high left guard before the beginning of the exchange. Then Zab threw a double right jab, and Floyd then lowered his left guard into his shell defense. What Floyd didn't expect was a straight left that caught him flush. If you remember, this was Manny's bread and butter combo: jab, jab, straight left. Keep an eye on this "habit" that Floyd will not be able to shake off.
has anybody notice when zab drop his hands in the third at 1:03 that is the most perfect jab ive seen by any fighter and who drops their hands alot when they fight? If you can answer the question hit me back.
yes i do sir. Its nice to talk to a boxing fan who knows the sport. Usually you get pactards who take it personal when im just making an observation and stating my opinion. Look forward to any future debates.
You're right! Also I have seen many of Zabs fights and seen his 1 major weakness. Zab can't fight moving backwards. Floyd took full advantage of this fact!
That final body shot @ 9:31 ended the fight; zab checked out after that one. Pbf feinted w/ the pull-counter, weaved under Zab's counter rt hook and blasted zab with the body shot.......damn
@hawaiiancerveza the white makes them look like that...either that or its because floyd was using standard welterweight gloves which are 10oz vs the 8oz zab had (lol im tempted to call zab jab zudah some times)
00:27 You'll see Zab throw a fake right jab and bang Floyd's belly with a straight left. This is a very effective punch because Floyd has to respect the right jab by bringing up his gaurd. Even the Floyd defense will have a tough time defending this combination. Manny will be able to connect with this combination with the addition of a right cross, as he's already shown against Cotto. He knocked Cotto down with this combo.
vinamel97: You are absolutely right! Pac has won his fights in unexpected ways. I'm a fan of Pac but I get annoyed by the casual fan that gives arbitrary reasoning as to how Pac will beat Floyd. I think as far as the hype and how both are in their established primes make for a great fight. I can't wait! This is the stuff of Sugar vs. Hitman or Sugar vs. Hands of Stone.
It will be a great fight. Only thing I hope for is, now that Pac is a welterweight champ, the fight will take place at the welterweight weight limit, not at 145, not at 144, just welterweight period. If Pac wins, then I'll give him all the praise he deserves bar none. However, if Floyd wins, will the insults stop? Or will people just keep calling him names and make more excuses for why he won? I like both guys and I too, will not predict the outcome. Speed versus quickness, who will win :-))
Even in round 2, the only way you could even credit that round to Judah is if you gave him the knock down, because only landed about 4 clean shots and then just stood and jabbed while Floyd was throwing hooks, straight rights, and backing him up.
@5:32 I want you guys to listen to that body shot. The reason Judah appeared to be tired had nothing to do with stamina, its the fact that FLoyd was going to the body early. Boxing 101! BTW, JMM showed the MAnny is open to the left hook to the body in their second fight
@lmcgarian2000 your points area all valid man, your arguments have merit.i agree with you on hoya and hatton being easy targets man,but cotto cmon man cotto wasnt static at all he was bring the fight to pac and was very effective countering, until manny broke him down with his power rights and lefts as for clottey he was just clueless on pacs speed.now question is can mayweather take mannys power punches, manny will be hitting may on the body, arms, shoulders and head,i really doubt it
@2ill1313 And why when Judah had Mayweather stunned, he started throwing looping shots. He should have continue throwing straight punches between the gloves and maybe looping shots to the body....
i love watching this fight, it's crazy seeing how floyd watches, learns, and adapts his style throughout the course of the fight. Amazing boxer.
Man I love this man. This is boxing at its best man. I learned so much from watching this fight. You have to smart to actually follow along whats actually going on in the fight. These two guys are amazing. Especially Floyd.
Mayweather was putting in work. He has so many fighting styles, a true master of the sport
thanks!

"WHOOP DAT TRICK! WHOOP DAT TRICK!" lol
Yes sir you couldn't have said it better!!!
This was the first Floyd fight I really watched and where I became a fan. What you can't see and here in this low res version is Zab taunting and cursing Floyd through the first half of the fight. I'm excited to find out more about this.
@OmarTheGuy this cab judah with better stamina vs pacquiao...what do you think?
great fight
I like the exchange at 1:23... Both guys were pretty sharp on their reflexes.
Mayweather is the best Boxer of this generation - period , each of his fights a masterpiece - never felt bored watching him , if you are looking for a slug fight go and watch a pub fight (we got tons of them here in London ) , watching Floyd is watching an artist - control and precision - this is what boxing is all about and even if he does not "engage" as some like to say , he never loses his composure - even being under constant attack - this is for me braveness , courage .
simple !
@breakaway2x What fight were you watching?
@breakaway2x Did you even watch the whole fight beyond the 4th round?
@9budah3 those three body shots changed the whole fight?
Agreed. I know Floyd prepared himself for being forced against the ropes and in the corner, Cotto impressed me a lot but more so offensively than defensively.
...greats
Whoop that trick! Lmao!
lol at WHOOP THAT TRICK
LOL at 6:33 he try to play off that splash a water he got to the face LMFAO!
Who do you guys think has greater hand speed?
body work n this fight was amazing by floyd
equote: I like the idea of what you pointed out here. Slip left and bang to the body with a counter left hook. We've seen Manny do this to Oscar and Cotto. Very effective combination. @spankybighead to see the pattern look at the 3rd round 0.45 and 0.41 seconds. Brilliant.
yeah that quick body shot at 9:31 is what complete turned this fight around and you can tell that shot hurt Zab
ahahahah i was just gona say that before i saw this post and that is so true lol
THANK YOU Lennox... I would've called it a knockdown too and a pretty clear one at that. A 10-8 second round could've changed the course of the whole fight... maybe
pure skill
I know that Larry Merchant already said this but. Mayweather's glove touched the canvass.
@TheNigerianScammer Where did that come from? I never asked you if you boxed before nor did I say that you didn't know boxing, all I want know is what makes you think that Judah won 5 rounds when he was getting dominated after round 5? Exactly which 5 rounds did he win according to you?
identical styles... wiw
5:12 look at that perfect jab he caught on Zab. Lesson here is ALWAYS stay focused.
I guarantee you that Freddie Roach is going to watch this fight a lot between March 13 or May 1.
I think, as soon as Lennox Lewis retired he must've started smokin weed all day. It's no coincidence he looks like a Rasta, lol
They say Floyd isn't a good hearted person but if he wasn't God wouldn't let him dominate the way he does Love u Floyd ur the Brest!!
htown: You bring up some great points here! Manny does have all the qualities that you have mentioned and would be a great test against Floyd's boxing intellect. @TheNigerianScammer so what is your name oh great retired amateur boxer?
aye round two of this fight just proves how this man is a counter punching genious....just watch carefully at how fast floyd is catching him
I had the luck today meeting one of the British boxing commission chair men top guy , 90 years old
@octopuspick im a southpaw. and merchant is right. left hook and a straight are very good punches especially if u put them together.
Clean knock down for Zab...
@hawaiiancerveza they are both 8 oz gloves the shape of the gloves vary
@dlc85007 Whoop that trick. That was around when that Hustle and Flow movie came out.
How do you figure? Explain...
what a great fight for these two warriors!zab great south P. and also fast ,powerful.but i think pacman has more to offer. mayweather will be surprise!
i dont know much bout boxing but why did floyd have his hand down when he threw that right cross and got knocked down? was he suppose to have his other hand up?
@was242 u didn't hear what the guy that scored the fight said?? He said that both of there gloves are 10oz...it was on this part lol
@OmarTheGuy lol you took that from karcenos vid
@OmarTheGuy Yes that is true but Floyd did another great pattern. He didn't shoot a true jab. He did a "touch and shoot". Touch with the left and quickly shoot the right. Basically same effect. After the right hand..hit, graze or miss, sometimes before Zab could counter he was hit with a left hook to the body because of his position...i.e. trying to avoid the straight right. @kapirock1 your the voice of reason mate
Are those Southpaws Mayweather fought, are they as fast as Pacquio?
Other boxers need to watch this and learn that you need to go to the body against Mayweather.
@breakaway2x did u even watch the rest of this fight? lool
you can tell Merchant dislikes Judah more than Mayweather in this fight. He gives Floyd big props in this fight
Ooooh! Manny's power right upper-cuts would... will put a REAL quick end to that single lunging straight right of Floyd's!
@PhoenixEdwards AhI see. You think it could offer more protection if it were the 10 oz gloves? I mean you wouldn't need to ko someone with them.
@PushingUpTheAnte The look bigger because of the wraps, Zabs wraps go down lower so on Floyd's more of the glove is seen than Zab's. They're also wearing a different brand I think because Floyd's hands are easily injured.

They need to replace todays comentators with Lennox, Foreman, and Tyson!! :D
Guys that have actually BEEN in the ring
Why?
I already broke down what happened for you in round 3, Round 4 carries on into the next video.
this is the first time i've ever seen mayweather struggle.
yes i do sir.
Southpaw Judah caused problems early. That was a knock down pretty right hook at that.
That final body shot @ 9:31 ended the fight; zab checked out after that one. Pbf feinted w/ the pull-counter, weaved under Zab's counter rt hook and blasted zab with the body shot.......damn
lol whoop that trick
@Mramone12 Belt line is okay. Judah hit below the belt, that's why. A point is only deducted if it is intentional also.
6:33 water to the face lol
Is it just me or do judahs gloves look smaller? mayweathers look almost like sparring gloves in comparison
@matt2fresh84 what he was saying is that you basically said "If Judah was as good as Floyd he would be as good as Floyd." lol
Is it becuase of the brand or the wrapping but Floyd's gloves look supremely bigger than Zab's.
@Midnightrambler3760 Agreed.
@rdf7777 Ummm did u forget about the Mayweather vs. Hatton fight...Hatton was a Southpaw...google it if u don't remember how that ended
that body shot @ 5:33 froze the hell out of Judah
Check out the exchange at 1:22... both of these guys are sharp at slipping punches!
is it me or does MAyWeathers gloves look really big?... defense?
is it me or does mayweathers gloves look alot bigger?
@hawaiiancerveza the white makes them look like that...either that or its because floyd was using standard welterweight gloves which are 10oz vs the 8oz zab had (lol im tempted to call zab jab zudah some times)

@Zerrick80 there gloves had to be 8 ounces because it was a title fight. But Mayweather v. Pacquiao would be fighting just for respect.
Even in round 2, the only way you could even credit that round to Judah is if you gave him the knock down, because only landed about 4 clean shots and then just stood and jabbed while Floyd was throwing hooks, straight rights, and backing him up.

@shiest13 Judah has faster feet and hands than pac? never knew that til now... thanks...
ZAB JUDAH LOOKED LIKE SONIC COMPARED TO FLOYDS SPEED
@lmcgarian2000 your points area all valid man, your arguments have merit.i agree with you on hoya and hatton being easy targets man,but cotto cmon man cotto wasnt static at all he was bring the fight to pac and was very effective countering, until manny broke him down with his power rights and lefts as for clottey he was just clueless on pacs speed.now question is can mayweather take mannys power punches, manny will be hitting may on the body, arms, shoulders and head,i really doubt it
Lennox is so smart that was clearly a knockdown.
@OmarTheGuy If u notice mayweathers feet he steps on judahs leading foot and throws a left hook or right hand
@2ill1313 And why when Judah had Mayweather stunned, he started throwing looping shots. He should have continue throwing straight punches between the gloves and maybe looping shots to the body....
