You are the first home DIYer that is giving me confidence to go ahead with my kitchen redo project. You explain everything so clearly and have a very humble demeanor where you don't talk down to people.
Awesome! Thank you! I truly appreciate that 💕 you can do it! Take the time to do you research and prep and you’ll set yourself up for success! Also, I hired out some of the kitchen renovation (electrical and plumbing). You can always do a semi - DIY! Best of luck!
Very nice! I'm going to remember the Swiss Coffee and Revere Pewter.
Loved watching this. It was a nice break and reminded me of all the projects I did on my house too. You did a great job! As a tip, I used a piece of blackout fabric from the fabric store as a drop cloth. It moves well, and the plastic backing keeps the paint from seeping through. Keep up the great work! Bev
I’m the same way about power tools dress shopping, shoes or purses don’t get so excited. I’ve said that to some friends and I thought I was crazy 😂😂
Lol! You've found your people here! I've asked for power tools for every birthday and holiday the past few years.
Wow you did a great job! The kitchen looks fantastic. Thank you for going through each step so thoroughly.
You’re welcome and I’m glad you liked it! Thank you for watching!
The kitchen looks beautiful! Thank you for walking us through the entire process. The tips are very much appreciated. 🙋🏻♀️
You're so welcome! Thank you for watching!
Backsplash is amazing and definitely makes a polished look to the kitchen.
You did a fabulous job! You should be so proud of yourself and what a great role model for children 😊and I am sure husband has his own talents. Anyway when I saw you pouring paint I wanted to add that I think you would really like one of those plastic lips you can put on the can. Saves paint and less messy too. Your kitchen is beautiful. ❤😊🤗
The cabinets look fantastic. Good job
Love it all!!!!!!
How beautiful and thank you for sharing your tips!! I think it is so nice that you and you're dad did this together!!!
Thank you for watching! I love doing projects with my dad! He’s making a cameo in my next video too!!

You did an AHHHMAZING job!!!❤😍
Thank you, Mary! I appreciate you watching!
Looks beautiful. That's a lot of work!
It was, but worth it!
Been there done that. Took me about a month, and my kitchen is small. Happy with results, but never again....
Having done many paint projects, I’m impressed with your motivation to take on such an ambitious project. Beautifully done. Would you mind my sharing a tip? If you put a couple of large nail holes in the well of the paint can, so when you pour the paint will collect and drip back into the can and not down the side. The lid will fit so much better.
Thank you for the tip! So simple yet genius! I will definitely do that on the. next paint project.

And I will vicariously relive my painting days watching you master your home’s update.
Your cabinets are pretty. After 20 years mine are just beat lol. We considered but honestly would not be cost effective. Your kitchen looks stunning.
Thank you for this. Been "thinking" of painting my old cabs for years. Have done lots of research and test samples. I don't even remember the number of colors I tried, but Revere Pewter was one of my top faves. Now that I am "retired," I am going to tackle my kitchen makeover this winter. If memory serves, Revere Pewter has a slight olive green undertone. Have you noticed that and do you like it?
You're very welcome! I'm so glad you found this video helpful! I would say revere pewter definitely had more of a taupe undertone than gray.
Love your colour for the kitchen cabinets 😀 What colour for your kitchen island ? How about wall colour for the kitchen too ? Thank you all looks gorgeous
Hi Charlene. The island is called "jute" the cabinets are "revere pewter" by benjamin moore
nice colour, not too dark like many people who try the greyish look and make the kitchen look ugly
Wow those look amazing !! Makes me excited to start mine! How did you do the cabinets themselves ? Did you spray paint them or roll them ?
Hi! I did both actually! I rolled the base and painted with a brush the frames but sprayed all the door fronts
Do you think it would work on kitchen cabinets I painted grey , builder grade cabinets, didn’t work out well, love the revere pewter, dies your cabinets has a poly finish. Beautiful cabinets.
What psi is your compressor...and what level worked best? Thanks in advance.
Beautiful! I am looking for a taupe color, definitely going to try Revere Pewter. Great video!
I think taupe is a great choice for cabinets! Shiitake Mushroom by Sherwin Williams is also a really nice color but a bit darker.
Hi, nice kitchen. Quick question is the Benjamin Moore water based? Also I noticed u97 have the pro classic, I was debating whether to use that? Trying to find a good water based paint. Hope to hear back thank you for your time.
How long did you let them dry before turning to spray the back side and also how long till you installed them after painting
Great job
The kitchen looks beautiful
How long did this table you ?
Did you use special cabinet paint?
Thank you! It took me about a week to do it all, but again, that's because I have limited hours with small kids! The paint is Benjamin Moore Advance.
Do you need to sand between coats?
Did you wipe off the liquid sandpaper at all?
Did you use the paint sprayer for primer on the cabinet fronts?
I rolled on the primer and then sprayed the top coat. No particular reason is just felt easier.
What color is your trim?
What brand is the revere pewter ?
Benjamin Moore
This is the Charmaine 12" Center to Center Bar pull
?
It is! They should be linked in the description!
Do you have to wipe off the liquid sandpaper before priming ? Or you just apply it and let it dry and paint over it ?
Yes! You need to wipe it off before applying the primer
Where is the full video?!?!!
What dilution % did you do? You said 50 ml but you don’t mention the paint amount. Thanks
I guess I'm like a chef who doesn't use a recipe because I honestly don't know! lol
@@flippinggorgeous thanks for the reply. I found that a 20% dilution works best for me. I also have the Wagner Flexio 5000. I set the power to maximum and the knob on trigger to low.
That Revere Pewter doesn’t look all that much different than their present color. Is it just the camera?
Hi! I think it is hard to capture the true color via camera. It is revere pewter in a satin finishing
I'm surprised you painted your cabinets grey. I used Revere Pewter in my entry ways and pantry wall in my kitchen. I used to have historical BM colors and took all color away with farmhouse craze. Really miss color. I watched another vlogger paint her cabinets and she used semi gloss, what a mistake she made.
So what color did you paint your kitchen cabinets with?
It's revere pewter by Benjamin Moore
@@flippinggorgeous thanks 😊
Did the products have strong chemical smells? I noticed on some scenes you didn't wear a mask.
The liquid sandpaper did not. I definitely wore a respirator when using the paint sprayer!
So much unnecessary effort - I did mine without removing any doors, only the hardware. I used a special primer that lets you go from oil-based paint to water-based paint. Let it dry, painted with the new, with a brush. That's ALL.
Really? Please share the product details!
I appreciate the effort, but in the description it says "tricks of the trade" and "uncovering professional techniques." This is her first time doing this...
This is what happens when you let AI write the descriptions! I don't have a team so I was trying to get something off my plate! Lol! I've updated it to reflect more of my DIY approach. Thank you for the feedback.
I don’t think you brought enough comment to sanding prep to this project. Liquid sanding?….that isn’t a thing.
Hi Cynthia. I’d be happy to give more detail if the video didn't contain a enough. I only applied liquid sandpaper prior to painting these cabinets. The liquid sandpaper acts as a degloasser and it helped to remove the glaze finish. I then applied the primer so I technically did not send these cabinets at all. I hope that clears it up a bit!
