THE LIFE OF JONATHAN JOESTAR PLEASE 🙏
Love your videos, especially the Harry Potter ones.
Hey, you liked my comment!
HI
Umbridge is a great character. She unites people with a common cause: hating her. In all honesty she's a great villain up there with Voldy and Bella.
Let's be real, even a dementor wouldn't kiss Umbridge
🤣🤣🤣
i agree and even if they did there would be nothing for them to suck out of her
Underrated Comment 😂
It would be her first kiss
Best comment ever
It's crazy how powerful this curse was. A lot of people don't realize that Voldemort's strength was much more in long term curses than in dueling:
1) The DADA curse, which Dumbledore could not undo
2) The curse on Marvolo's ring, which Dumbledore and Snape could not undo and Dumbledore had to die for
3) The Emerald potion. Even Dumbledore had no choice but to drink it, because he could not undo the enchantments that prevented it from being disposed of in another way.
4) The Taboo, which affected every wizard in Britain and Ireland (perhaps even more) and the Order of the Phoenix could not undo it.
the taboo was more of ministry's doing
But he couldn't fix his nose
@@user-zl7bo8rt5r pretty sure he loved the new look
@@zeeshanismail7768yea but the ministry was over throne by death eaters and Voldemort
I don't think someone in japan who pronounce voldemort would be deemed worthy of putting back to its place. I guess the taboo works just like the trace in that it triangulate where the word was pronounced. If it was pronounced far away from Great Britain, there's no point going there to kill or torture the one who pronounced it.
I feel like you could also add Harry himself to the list;
He took up the role to teach DA when Umbridge wouldn't properly teach it, and in turn lost Sirius Black, the only family he had left
And then he had to be in the cursed child book
However, as a separate and independent group, it bypassed the curse.
He wasn't on the official position of the DADA teacher in Hogwarts. At the time, his position as a coach was even made *illegal* by the ministry shortly after the decided to take on these courses.
DADA Adjacent 😮!!! (He was like a substitute teacher 😂!!!
@@marshawargo7238 he wasn't a substitute. He wasn't paid for this job.
You ever think Voldemorts face on the back of Quirrels head got really angry when Quirrel was teaching a class. He had to basically sit in on classes, including Harry and the 1st years and hold back all his comments. "Dang it man, teach with a little more flare, we want to kill Harry but not from boredom. No no, you got your lesson plan wrong and messed up the countercurses, Harry may die but I will not have anyone fail MY class Quirrel". I bet Voldemort spent a lot of time trying to coach Quirrell in year 1.
i can just picture voldemort and quirrell from avpm 😭😭
I love the thought of Voldemort living vicariously through Quirrel
😂😂😂😂😂😂if I could like and save comments I would like and save this one 🥰💞☺️
@@skyes.soliloquyI was thinking the same thing,
If you think about it that way then Voldemort did get the job he wanted so desperately even if he wasn't in full control
When you ranked Lupin’s death with the others it made me think of a quote from a movie written on a grease marker pen board. “Anticipation of death is worse than death itself.”
I can imagine umbridge in court before going to Azkaban, she turns to her lawyer and says “Tell them I meant no harm!” And the lawyer says, “I’m sorry professor, I must not tell lies.”
My question is who would represent her? I wonder in the wizard world they got a public defender or something?
@@2410jrod Percy :D (yes, I know, but still, who else?)
and if Harry showed up to the trial as he was head of Auror
Bold of you to assume wizards have lawyers 😅 some were even sent to Azkaban without trial
@@muotitietoinen they have a court trial process. They have laws. So yes, we assume they have lawyers. Example of proper lawyer work was Dumbledore himself acting as an advocate on a Harry's trial for claimed misuse of magic when he produced a patronus.
Some were sent to Azkaban with a bogus trial - we see one in books. Some were executed or died there. Umbridge was sent to Azkaban subsequently exactly because of these bogus trials.
The Freshman English teacher position is the same as Defense Against the Dark Arts position because my high school cannot keep a teacher in that job for longer than a year and the jokes about it are hilarious
What jokes did you make about that position?
@@UltimateDespairado mostly Harry Potter ones because my English class was all nerds. The last one was Umbridge because she treated us like we were all five lmao

Did you know the scar on Harry’s forehead is actually the wand movement for Avada Kevadra, but it could also be a lightning bolt ⚡️
@FantasyLegend-j3kI did not, and I doubt most others do either
@FantasyLegend-j3k I’m just trynna say a fact whoever knows it no need to reply
@FantasyLegend-j3k He was talking about the shape of the scar, not the curse
@FantasyLegend-j3kno I didn’t know it at all
I had no idea and I read/watch the movies all the time. So appreciate the fact
I always thought Lupin’s curse was Snape telling everyone he was a werewolf at the end of the year. Because only at the time only like 7 or 8 people knew what he actually was at the time.
Yeah, I feel like taking years of time outside of the position didn't make sense for this video. All of them had a consequence within the year they taught, and that's what matters; not whether they died 5 years later in a completely unrelated event.
Yeah, the curse is on the job, and that it won’t last more than one school year. Notice they all make it to the end of the school term before being sacked or quitting. They never gave us a reason why the real Mad Eye didn’t return to teach, other than it being the curse. Since he didn’t actually teach the class, he could have come back the next year and taught it.
@@SuziQ. What if he was going to. BUT He works for the Ministry. And the Ministry wanted their Umbitch Spy in that position. How much you wanna bet he was all ready to teach only to get a letter ordering him to stand down. Might have been why he was so grumpy before the start of the school year. If you think about it, the job was taken from him, twice! After that? He just said, screw it.
I’ve always thought Moody never was offered the position again due to PTSD from being locked in his trunk and that was the curse affecting him. Barty Crouch Jr was not really cursed by the jinx as he wasn’t actually hired to be the Professor and the Dementor performed the Kiss because it sensed Barty as a Death Eater and someone who had escaped from Azkaban.
the people that that knew about lupin's condition prior to snape ratting it out to the public were harry who learned with ron from hermine when she blurted it out in front of sirius black, hermine from the homework assignment that snape gave, dumbledore for knowledge & wisdom, snape for an accident of some sort, & the rest of the marauders which were harry's dad, sirius black, & peter pettigrew. don't know if mcgonagal was aware of lupin's condition at the time before it was revealed by snape.
Umbridge is a great character. She unites people with a common cause: hating her. In all honesty she's a great villain up there with Voldy and Bella.
Ya know, I like Voldy better than Umbridge.
It must've been a nightmare trying to find new Defense Against The Dark Arts teachers for those 32 years
The first years would’ve been kinda easy since they didn’t know there was a jinx but 10 years in, people would’ve started to suspect 😂
Dumbledore: The position is open for anyone with experience!
Random guy: Is the position jinxed?
Dumbledore: *Do you want a lemon drop?*
The teachers probably placed bets on how long they thought the current teacher would last.
It was wich is why by the time Harry went to Hogwarts Dumbeldore acceptet ANYONE even if they had zero quallefications. Honestly he probably would have acceptet a Squib at that point
Heyyy Morgan, probably don’t remember me, but I’ve been commenting on ur videos every time you post. You have really helped me through bad times. Fav yt ber ever!
We have kinda the same name
I don't think you can attribute Lupin's death to the curse. The curse seems to only ensure they suffer and get removed them from their position. Lupin's result was him being shunned for being exposed as a werewolf and forced to leave due to parent and ministry concerns. He died in the final battle because he was ill-fated (and I remember his wand symbolized he was destined to die a heroes death).
I agree with you i don't think he can say moodie and ramus were done in by the curse they died fighting
Ya same with Moody and Dumbledore.
I really appreciate you being brave enough to share about your Bipolar Disorder, Morgan. We love you and I’m glad that you’ve been happy with your therapy!
I'm always so happy when Morgan posts! I'm currently re-watching his every difference between the books and movie series for the 4th time right now!
But there's a lot that happens between these two scenes
To think that series was 3 years ago
I was happy to hear umbridge went to azkaban until hearing they got rid ofbthe dementors
If it helps, something very traumatic probably happened when the centaurs took her. I wouldn't wish this fate on anyone, even Umbridge, but apparently it is something centaurs do to females...I feel like I have said too much 😨
I just imagine an Auror guarding her having a pair of horseshoes with him just to mess with her 😈
@@SakariWolf13,
That would take a lot of wine. Canonically, they get r@pey under the influence of alcohol.
*Quirrell:* my lord, i have successfully infiltrated hogwarts.
*Voldemort:* Excelent, and how have you managed this feat?
*Quirrell:* im the new defence agaisnt the dark arts teacher!
*Voldemort:* oh no...
Lupin didn't die because of the curse, he died because he fought in a war. The direct effect of the curse was relatively mild for him, just the werewolf transformation thing.
Yea I can Moody's curse was being kidnapped and held in the trunk for 9 months
Half my Harry Potter knowledge comes from Morgan's videos 😂
Me too
same
🫡
Same 😂 I just found out that Tom Riddle put a jinx on the position
Me too, until I read the books.
I never realized that it gave them a terrible fate and that the curse would work for years to come, I thought it just meant that something bad would happen at the end of the school year and they wouldn’t work there anymore, it’s crazy
I figured Lupin’s death was a bit of a stretch. So many people died during the battle of hogwarts. As I saw it, unless Rowling says otherwise, I saw the curse as something meant to keep the position vacant
@@tgiacin435 yeah same with mad eyes death voldamort went after him because he was the most skilled wizard not because of a curse
@@gabrielepuglisi5532 but madeye never held the position. It was barty crouch jr.
@@Ykibmh that is true, but he was kept imperioused in his own trunk for almost a year. Though you could say he did because Dumbledore asked him to help keep an eye on things, and wasn’t attacked until the night of August 31
That is exactly what it meant. The curse was just that you can only last a year in the position. It does not say anything about how and why you are removed from the position of DADA teacher.,
Umbridge got off too easy. She deserved worse.
@@user-wk7jk5of4f facts
Like being put on a Scaffold
She deserved Dementors kissing her or just straight up Avada Kedavra
Dementors kiss would have been a good punishment
@@gabeisanerd808 I totally agree
Barty Crouch Jr had the worst fate. Getting your soul sucked out?!?!? We dont know that your suffering stops there. You leave your body but your soul could be alive. You could be aware of the hell you're in. An empty existence living inside a dementor or just floating around always hungry, always cold with no way of satisfying yourself or even dying to get a reprieve. Praying for death but death wont come. I'd take a snakebite 1,000 times to avoid that
I was back and forth with this between quirrell and barty crouch Jr ultimately choosing quirrell
I'd love to know what Sirius' life had been like had he in fact take the position of Secret Keeper, and not switched to Peter Petigrew.
If Voldemort put that jinx on that position, does that mean that he himself created the reason why he failed to get the stone?
That could be possible. I thought it might remove the curse, seeing as the curse was placed due to Voldemort not being able to get the job.
Most likely and since he was so weakened at that time, I doubt he wouldve had the strength to undo it since Dumbledore himself couldnt fix it
I stopped watching you for a while but came back today. You now look like you’re slowly turning into Harry Potter.
Welcome back. Stick around for a while
And then @@MovieFlame will become Harry Potter
@@Lucky-Charm-754 😧
In my fan ideas, Dumbledore should've exploited a loophole. A shifting yearly schedule that 1 teacher will switch with the DADA professor next year, then back again. Snape could take on one year, as he wanted it for years. He'll b back on the year after next with his shifting partner that took over potions. If it was Lupin, it could've resolve some of their childhood issuses, even a little bit.
only one problem the fate of the curse and the time of the curse would kick in is pretty random
I'm thinking too, trying to by-pass or loophole the curse might lead to even worse consequences. Like a dam without any floodgates or outflow - the water just keeps building up until something gives in a very big way.
@@7thsealord888 yep and its not like curse couldn't affect more than 1 professor like moody and barty jr both had severe consequences with in the same year
Nah, just send all the Death Eaters who got away there
They're upstanding members of society or something
If the curse kills them, say it's Hogwarts protection working to prevent them from harming anyone
Sure it'd be odd if all of them were Death Eaters, but just use that as a reason for more thorough tests for connections to the Dark Mark
It works like a charm, even Quirrell (who made the curse) gets caught
Sure Horcruxes are still a thing, but he's one guy (powerful, but still singular)
Quirrell didn't just die from the burns inflicted by Harry, he also suffered from Voldemort retreating out of his body, effectively ripping his own essense away from Quirrell's.
I can't help but pity the guy. He may have been a villain, but it sounds as if he was mostly manipulated and intimidated by Voldemort, like Wormtail.
i love how he's referring to hogwarts mystery gameplay 😂😂
Honestly, for me, My Headcannon is that the Fate that was caused by the DADA curse is what actually happens During their time on the position and not after, but it's always great to hear more about the Wizarding World and it's residents that I haven't heard before. That's actually why I like your HP vids about Things Movie Lovers wouldn't have known because I wouldn't have known that, House Rankings because I get to know more about characters that belong in those houses, and Deep Lore facts I wouldn't have known, like how the Patronus Charm works for Dark Wizards.
I agree with your head cannon. It’s the book canon. The curse happens at the end of the school year (or during, for Moody and Quirrel). Moody was fine after his year imprisoned in the trunk. Lupin and Snape were fine, too.
I think he’s overthinking the curse, which is on the teaching position of that particular class, and not a curse on the people who taught the class. The curse was that no instructor of that class would hold the position for more than one school year.
I think Moody could have returned as a DADA teacher, because the curse would have known that Barty Crouch Jr. was impersonating him.
Morgan is the best, this video is a 10/10
THANK YOU MORGAN!!!!
If you think about it, this curse was actually a brilliant tactical move on Voldemort’s part. By sabotaging the post that taught wizards to defend against Dark Arts, Voldemort was essentially weakening the next generation of wizards that his Death Eaters would face off against by ensuring they couldn’t receive a consistent education from a competent teacher.
Morgan, I just wanted to thank you for being a shining light for all of us. Your sobriety is such an inspiration for me. Thank you for these videos and for all that you do for all of us.
Do you think lupins/moodys death was really related to the jinx? They just seem so random to me I feel like since they already suffered other things they were already punishdd
No, not at all. The curse was on the job, not the teacher.
@@SuziQ. yeah that’s why I was confused cuz their deaths were after and I feel like it’s a reach to say they died cuz they were cursed for doing it. I thought the curse was simply making it so they can only work for a year, not meet a terrible ending (whether death or azkaban)
Even though I don’t really watch the movies or read the books anymore, your videos make it more interesting and easier to understand. There’s also just something about your voice that makes your videos so iconic 👌
First thought: the curse was most specifically on the position - that nobody would last more than a year in the post, not necessarily requiring a grim end.
Lupin & Moody's deaths resulted from opposing Voldemort and the Death Eaters. Snape, too. The other five from the books were consequences of choices.
Great video keep it up you're doing amazing things 😁👍
Great video Morgan, my personal favorite DADA teacher is Remus Lupin, to be fair he is my favorite character
@@realgamerguyvlog32 He is without a doubt the best!
No clue about my favorite character but Professor Lupin is my favorite professor after Professor McGonagall.
Snape was cheelin', giving Harry the memories 🤣 Love it
love you so much you always make such good video that really go into depth, keep up the good work!!!
They should’ve punished the dementors for choosing the wrong side by making them stay with Umbridge
Mad Eye Moody's death was probably more devastatingly ironic than Lockhart's Memory charm defeat; I thought Mad Eye's Magical Eye could allow him to see all around him which makes his death a lot less sense than the irony in which he had died.
This is the video I’ve been waiting for since the defence against the dark arts teacher one appeared on my recommended yesterday! Can’t believe it’s here so soon. Haven’t watched it yet. So excited
I’m subscribed to you and every morning I get so excited to check my subscriptions hoping you post, and this morning you did. Keep up the work Morgan
Great work I have been a huge fan for years now keep it up
well who like morgan's new background i do
Thank you for being open about your mental struggles. It’s so important.
Lupin was the best defense against the dark arts teacher! Wish Snape never outed him as a werewolf in the books
I don't count there death after there year of Dada as part of the curse just a curse that effects and makes the teacher last less then a year the death of Remus and moody was because they're in war and knew the stakes otherwise they all would've said a few years after there appointment.
i’ve been waiting for something like this!
This video is very good and informative....i love your channel ❤
Great Video!
Love theses vids there’s SOO good
*They’re
One thing I’m curious about is if Quirrell could touch Harry without getting burned if Voldemort wasn’t attached to the back of his head. Lily’s protection was made to ensure that Harry could not be touched by Voldemort because that protection was made out of an act of love from a mother who dearly loved her child. And seeing as Quirrell had Voldemort on the back of his head, he was seriously burned and Voldemort felt the pain because of what the protection was intended. So it might be possible that without Voldemort attached to him, Quirrell probably wouldn’t be harmed if he touched Harry.
add that to the list of actions voldemort took that ended in his own downfall in a way voldemort himself was his own biggest enemy
Didn't Quirrell shake Harry's hand in The Leaky Cauldron?...
He did touch Harry in the Leaky Cauldron. He shook his hand.
I believe he mentioned that Voldemort only attached himself after the quidditch match due to quirrel’s failure.
@@antifurryfoundation55 thought it was after the first stone stealing failure, at gringotts

We're going to reveal the new Defence against the Dark Art. 🎉🎉DADA🎉🎉😊😊
It's worth noting that Dolores Umbridge suffered NO Official consequences for torturing and mutilating students/children.
The movies skirt the issue, but each and every torture Umbridge committed was approved by the Ministry under Fudge (In the novel, the Weasley twins only leave the school after Filch tells Umbridge that she has obtained permission from the Ministry to WHIP students and he was ready to help whip Fred and George.) After being forced out of the school, Scrimgeour immediately accepts Umbridge back into her previous position in the Ministry, despite (or because?) she had tortured students.
The problem is that if Umbridge wasn't such a Pure Blood fanatic, she would have ended her days as a "Well Regarded Ministry Employee"....
Consequences?....
Nice frames Morgan
Thank you for sharing your experience with us I have a lot of loved ones with bipolar and it hurts to say that only have contact with two of them, I hear about two others my area is not the best at helping those with mental illness, and I know this from both personal experience and witnessing it first hand, my family as taken in four, technically five, one of which was a cousin from out of town, another was an aunt who ended up in jail after throwing rocks at a bedroom window, and I only have contact with two of them. To many of them refused to get treatment or help of any form and I can only hope and pray that one day they can come to terms with the fact and get the help they need. And I hope you have an amazing day.❤
As a person who loves the Harry Potter universe but doesn't have the attention span to read the books and only watched the movies, I love videos and channels in general like yours and SuperCarlinBrothers to help me learn more about what I missed from the books! Well done as always man keep up the great work ❤
11:56 Still always surprised me he hadn’t concocted an antidote to her poison having been around her for so long and having been one of the most talented potionmakers at the time. Also, did they ever mention even retrieving his body?
Remember when Arthur Weasly got attacked by Nagini the main problem was his bleeding would not stop because of the venom it even desolved the stitches he tryed out. It took the heelers days to figure out how to fix that. Snape was in the order if he had known away to make an antidot he could have given it to Arthur back then.
This also mean that Nagini's venom is not leathal right away it killes over time. Snape died of bloodloss.
Excellent content really enjoyed this. Very well thought out and well said! Also would like to add that technically Harry was also a defense against the dark arts teacher and he did wind up dying as well 😅
Perhaps after voldermorts fall the first time and the DATDA teacher post was still cursed made dumbledor aware that he was still alive
Favourite CZcamsr!!❤️
LETSSS GOOO THE GOAT POSTED
Almost each time I watch one of your videos it makes me wanna rewatch Harry Potter again 😊
Great video! even though I just started watching
Umbridge deserved a fate worse than death because she didn’t properly teach Defense against the Dark Arts, she tortured students during detention with her, she planned to cast one of the Three Unforgivable Curses on Harry, who was a minor at the time, later on, she sentenced innocent people to Azkaban, and I am pretty sure the blood quill she forced students to write with is only supposed to be used for contracts with the goblins thereby risking the treaty with the Goblin Nation being broken
I love this video
Im really digging the glasses! They look really good on you
Agreed!
Dumbedore probably started looking for a new teacher every September, for September next year 😂
Good vid
You made a video like this several years ago.
Fun fact: That was the first MovieFlame video I ever watched
Good for you morgan keep it up I'm in therpay for my border line personality disorder you got this and I love you videos
I think the reason Umbridge is more diabolical than Amicus is because she's more intelligent than him (not a hard feat from what we see of his intelligence level in the books)
Awesome video idea
I loved the video, but I am actually here to thank you for talking about mental health. ❤
Since you did a video of every character who passed away for hunger games and Avatar do you think you could do it for the Riordan verse?

@MovieFlame didn't say bad just said wild 🤣 have a good day my guy best of luck on the channel all love!
“while snaps was chilling” got my dying on the floor 😂😂😂😂
I'd rank Barty Crouch junior as the worst fate. Even though Quirrel and Snape had really horrible deaths, at least their souls stayed intact and were free to move on after their death. As I understand the Dementors kiss, your consciousness is taken and your soul is eternally tortured inside of the dementor. Even if the body dies, you can't go on to the afterlife since your soul is not free to go. It's much worse than just dying. Being killed like Snape and Quirrel means suffering for some gruesome minutes. Being kissed by a dementor means your soul, the very thing that defines you and most likely contains your consciousness, is tormented and tortured for eternity.
McGonagall:potter what did i say about comparing umbride to a dementor Harry:its rude to the dementor
Technically Voldemort was controlling Professional Q for a while. Tell him what to do so would not also make Voldemort the teacher in a small way. Just make me laugh to think that he got the job he went but he had to be attached to another human to do it
Oh I see Hogwarts Mystery teachers at the beginning, nice!
Amazing video of the curse defend against the dark art teachers in the wizarding world, fantastic job.
Did you know, Harry had a terrible scar mark burn when he looked at Snape, it was because Quirell's head was next to Snape. But thinking of only Snape, Harry thought that it's Snape as the voldemort relation.
Morgan, how do you feel about the take that Harry should've been the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor, instead of an Auror?
nice job
i remember watching u 2 years ago,and now you got ur channel name trademarked?I did not expect that ever XD
I don't know if we can call the deaths that happen after the school year a consequence of the jinx. Many people died during book 7, even if they weren't a defense teacher
Love your Harry Potter vids! ❤
What if alastor moody (the real one) stared at the basilisk with his magical eye and his other eye was closed
That's interesting i think because it is not a real eye it would have no affect
Another note worthy one was Harry Potter who kinda took on the Defense against the darks role in secret to teach Dumbledore’s army during Umbridge’s year, his ultimate fate was being killed by Voldemort about 2 years later. Yes he did come back back to life but he did die for a while.
YASS I LOVE MOVIE FLAMEEEE!
