Even for me, as someone who has read the books, I forgot a lot of these cool details.
I don’t remember Moaning Myrtle going into the lake during the tournament. I’ve read the books many times.
I did@@SuziQ.
When I play videogames, most of the time I play the books on Audible. So I genuinely feel like I know all the books cover to cover. But then I watch a Super Carlin Brothers quiz, and I'm immediately humbled.
@@SuziQ.same and I literally read GOF not that long ago 😭
Maybe do a harry potter book marathon this summer
9:14 The best part is how McGonagal roasts Umbridge by saying that Harry has passed all DADA exams set by COMPETENT teachers. 17:46 Krum also argued with Mr Lovegood for wearing the Deathly Hallows symbol around his neck. Krum was angry to see the symbol, as he associated it with Grindewald and could not fathom why anyone would wear Grindewald's symbol. 18:34 Why do you want us to be emotional? Even hearing the name 'Neville's candy wrappers' brought tears to my eyes and I am a 28-year-old man. Why would you do that? But as always, thanks for another amazing video!
even more, the competent teacher she was referring to was lupin, who was a werewolf, the likes of which umbridge hates. imagine being called incompetent compared to a species you regard as inferior 😂
20:13 And if I remember correctly, he was calling them cowards for throwing 4 stunning spells at her.
@@hichewies It also implies that even Quirrell AND Lockhart were more competent than Umbridge.
@@elmasterdezoologia6641 actually Quirrell was a good and respected teacher. He was made a hocrux just before Harry's 1st year. But I agree with the implication that Lockhart was more competent than Umbridge. This is even more insulting to Umbridge because all the teachers hated him and considered him as a fraud, especially McGonagall.
@@user-zo5qo2wf8vHarry never took an exam with Lockhart. The final exams in year two weren’t held as a celebration for Harry closing the Chamber of Secrets. In year 4 he also didn’t have to take exams as he participated in the Triwizard Tournament. So Harry only took exams in year 1 and 3 before Umbridge
another detail: Harry originally offered the prize money from the tri-wizard tournament to Cedric's parents, but they declined it.
Then, when Cedric's parents refused it, he gave it to Fred and George to start their joke shop with.
Did they even mention prize money in the movie?

The look of Morgan's face during Dolores being a nice person
Ikr
That was my face as well
Gold!
The face you made during the unbridgeable is a sweet woman comment😂😂😂😂. No wonder Ron ripped that letter to shreds and threw it in the fire
I noticed he had no words for that description. All he could do was shake his head.
I like Harry's reaction to that letter. "Well, if you decide to, how does he put it? Oh yeah, 'sever ties' with me, I promise not to get violent."
Ikr so rude of Percy
I'm so loving this series, especially as somebody that read the books
Yes i have read the Books two
Also another one, Phineas Black was far more important in the books, the movies showed him only in order of phoenix that too for a brief moment, but he played a crucial role in the deathly hallows giving the trio the info of happenings at Hogwarts through his painting. That is how the trio gets to know about Neville, Luna and Ginny's detention with Hagrid.
It was also how Snape found out Harry and Hermione were in the Forest of Dean.
I read the books before the movies came out. Every time a new novel was about to come out, I re-read all the books leading up to it, and I did the same with the movies. I've consumed both so many times that my memory often confuses what happened in which. Thanks for refreshing my memory.
The scene with Neville and his family at St. Mungo's was one thing that I did really miss in the movie. It was such great character development for Neville in only a few words that it was a shame to leave it out. In fact, in the books we see Neville's development over the course of seven years, but in the movies he is mostly comic relief in the first two movies, and we don't see much of him except for the big battle sequences in books 5 and 7. At the Battle of Hogwarts, it is almost as if he came out of nowhere because the audience had missed his development.
main problem of books and films is how little neville we get when the whole series is afood becouse of the prophecy which details both harry and neville there should be more main character moments from nevill I today finished the fanfic Harry Potter and the Nightmares of Futures Past and while it is unfinished it gave both harry and nevill way more spotlight and is must read.
McGonagall standing up for Harry is an A+ moment.
And Harry using the torture curse on someone who disrespected McGonagall was my favourite thing in book 7 😂
As someone who has ONLY read the books, thank you.
I recommend the films. Now that you have read the books first you may be more observent and spot more details and understand cut out stuff. Great acting & action aswell.
0:28 This frickin glare in my glasses though😂
Ginny slamming her broom into Zacharias Smith is probably my overall favorite book Ginny moment.
Ohhh I agree 😂 ... “ Sorry' Professor forgot to brake 😁 ! ”
That ended their “relationship”. 😂
@@SuziQ. What??
They were never in a relationship Lol. 😄
@@SuziQ.You might be getting him mixed up with Michael Corner since Ginny had dumped Michael after he was a sore loser with Quidditch.
@@ConnorWiederich-hr4zu ,
I guess I did get them mixed up.
Honestly you're probably the best HP youtuber out there
7:46 Under normal circumstances I would say this was going too far, but after all the disgusting things Malfoy & his goons said & did over the years, you can’t really blame the gang for putting them in their place when these 3 bullies honestly deserved it & remember, even good guys are only human at the end of the day & I liked that this portrayed how even they aren’t always gonna act with a perfect moral compass.
THIS!!! this was what i just thought!
“Did you put your name into the goblet of fire, Harry?” Dumbledore asked calmly
😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂
I actually prefer Dumbledore screaming at Harry. The one year Harry was supposed to be safe and Dumbledore knew that. And then Harry allegedly takes on the impossible and signs himself up for the triwizard tournament and gets chosen as an additional champion? I would be pissed too. Dumbledore being angry about it actually made him mkre human in my eyes
I mean really, just give it a rest, it's really way too overdone, it's not a huge plot point anyways.
Asked Dumbledore calmly as he put Harry on a headlock and rammed him against a table 😂
The scene with McGonagle standing up for Harry, was one of my favorite book scenes of all time. And the scene with Hagrid being attacked, but still picking up his dog and making a run for it, that sends me into absolute sobs.
I love how transparent you are about your mental health
Me too, but (perhaps because I am an Aspie myself) I don't see any reason to hide such things.
If people can't handle that kind of stuff, it tells actually more about those people than about the ones having the condition.
I forgot: i have WON the harry potter Kahoot Quiz from germany, austria and switzerland… i call myself the biggest potterhead of those 3 countrys but YOU help me always get even more knowledge… Thanks for all the years and i wish all the best for your future.. Thanks morgan and greets from switzerland ❤
Once again Morgan educates movie fans
I don‘t know if it was in the previous but the vanshing cabinet that Draco uses to smuggle the Death Eaters into the castle has a history before Montague was stuck in it. In the Chamber of Secrets a muddy Harry returns from Quidditch training and runs into nearly Nearly Headless Nick and has a conversation with him. This leads to Harry been found by Mrs. Norris and Filch, who then takes Harry to his office to punish him for leaving mud on the floor. Nick feeling guilty persuades Peeves to smash and damage the cabinet in the room above Filchs office to distract him and maybe prevent Harry from getting punished. This damage is the reason Montague is stuck in it and Draco has to repair it.
You may have mentioned this in one of the previous editions, but to me the most egregious thing missing in the movie version of Prisoner of Azkaban was the history of who The Marauders were who made the map. It's one of the most important reveals in the book series, but is never made clear in the movies. It's as if the screenwriters assumed that the movie consumers had read the books.
5:20 one of if not THE most important moments in the entire series, Harry gets the chance to tell his own story. It’s really impactful and gives him so much agency. Wish it wasn’t cut 😢
He is so dedicated that he is recording on vacation ❤
#23 you forgot that Hermione Granger also hated Fleur Delacour it's funny because she was talking about Fleur with Ginny and Harry thought they were talking about Molly
My absolute favorite was McGonagall defending Harry to be an auror. That was amazing!
And when Dumbledore visits the Dursleys... awesome.
I am sure those scenes with Krum Vs Ron and Harry were filmed for the movie, not just by the stills but there always felt like something was missing, because some of the lines didn’t make any sense, like when Hermione was crying and she was mad at the boys and told them “to go to bed” 😂 It always felt like something happened before then, that we never got to see
The books explain the tension.
Wait, the stills are from The Deathly Hallows but the go to bed scene is in The Goblet of Fire.
Hey Morgan, as you already touched on, a lot of the characters in the books are actually quite a bit different from there movie counterparts. I think it would be a really interesting video series if you delved into a book vs movie comparison on character differences/analysis.
@MovieFlame I don't remember if you already mentioned it, but I would have added that Bill and Molly visited Harry as his official family right before the third task in the goblet of fire. For me it was this moment that cemented the Weasleys as his real family and not just some people who sometimes take care of their sons friend
I f****g love this guy soooooo much
I knew Rubeus could kick ass, but THAT was a full-blown five-alarm emergency. Umbridge and those Aurors deserved it, and THEN some.
At this point theirs gonna be a part 100🤣 Anyway, keep it up Morgan❤
gonna keep that revenue coming
@@atabrehreal
I’d love that ❤. Keep up the good work
Am l the only person who didn’t know his name is Morgan?
McGonagall getting hit in the chest by four stunners shows just how great she was, I love that sequence. Also when in The Deathly Hallows it's reported that Hagrid threw a Support Harry Potter Party. And also the McGonagall vs. Umbridge Career Meeting Sequence. Really I love almost any McGonagall Scene. We needed more of those in the movies. And also the St Mungos sequence. There are so many great left out scenes.
I'm currently reading the series for the 10th time. So I deffinetly know these thing. 😅 Everyone has one lore what they love and dive deep in them.
Always love how open you are about your mental health man, it’s inspiring and cool fr that you talk about it
This was good, mad respect for making videos while on vacation. Calling all Gryffindors ❤️🦁
I'm loving this series. Now go have fun on vacation Morgan! ^_^
One thing fans who have only seen the films pretty much wouldn’t know is that Harry and Hermione never had any interactions that hinted at a possible romantic relationship between them. The books clearly established that they are just friends and nothing else. I ship Harry and Hermione, but that is because I want to write a fanfic involving them going to the Yule Ball together, there’s really good fan art and because Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson had great on screen chemistry.
I got chills when you mentioned the ravenclaw common room one.
Thanks Morgan.
I think the coolest one I've noticed is that Sirius black is mentioned in the first book when they're talking about his bike, maybe this is common knowledge atp but I only read the books for the first time about 2 years ago so I didn't notice this until about a year ago on my reread and the marauders era fan in me was screaming 😂
I read the books after seeing all the movies. The candy wrapper part legit made me shed a tear, that part and the part when Oliver carried Colin's body back to the great hall.
Snape being the ref during Harry’s second ever quditch match , Dumbledore not acting like belonged in a nuthouse threw out the whole advents of the 4th novel we all know about the whole did you put you’re name in , but he was so unhinged threw out the whole movie. Jenny talking about her experience of being controlled by Voldemort with the golden trio.
The legend is back!
I haven't read the books in so long that I forgot about half of these, or at least forgot which book some events take place in. Thanks Morg.
I also have biopolar disorder 2. Shit sucks. Two weeks ago I ended up in the hospital for a week for the first time after a particularly hard crash. Still coming out of it currently. I feel you man and my heart is with you. Also, always love your videos.
Book Ginny being a bad@$$ was sorely missed! Loved how there were moments for her, not just Zacharias bashing the Gryffindors, that show how much she grew over the course of the books.
Thank you so much Morgan for always posting awesome Harry potter content that i can watch at any time of day!
Love the glasses! Another great Harry Potter video!
"When you don’t know, you know. When you know, you don’t know but you don’t know it. When you don’t know you know, so you really don’t know you don’t know, which means you really know if it is authentic."
-Gary Busey
Did he say that before the major head trauma, or after?
It’s crazy how many people I didn’t know something was wrong, they act normal around me then at home they could be way different, that’s why I treat everyone niceely
My favorite is the last one because people forgot that he haf giant so magic has little affect on him and even if he is one of the kindness people in the book if you harm some that is like family to him you better have army to slow him down so you can escape because you aren't going to win unless use monsters the spiders in the forbidden forest
I only knew 12 because I watch your vids and I have read 1 and a half of the books
My favourite was the one when mclaggen hit Harry with the Bludger and Harry was so mad at him after and I remember reading this and I couldn’t stop laughing 😂😂
You should make one about the Hunger Games
Already started. Thats the next video!
@@MovieFlameyay!
@MovieFlame you responding to my comment is amazing 🤩 love your new Hunger Games video ❤
Something I have wanted to know for a while is how powerful would Hagrid have been had he not been expelled and learned a lot more advanced magic, and was actually allowed to use it. He took out 5 Aurors, with his bare hands. Think about that. Imagine he was much more proficient in magic and was allowed to use it. Even Voldemort may have had a hard time with him. Morgan you should do a what if video on that.
I love these videos. The movies really left so much out. Especially in the third movie, (aka my favorite), didn't connect the storyline of the marauders was a crime
I love your videos!!❤
Even tho I disagree with some opinions quite a bit this dude still the only HP CZcamsr I watch and is the best
Im about to send this to all the people that say the movies are better than the books.
Who the hell thinks that
People think that?
They didn’t read the books, did they?
0:05 Morgan swapped Dormitory Sets for DUBAI Sunsets😅🌅🍹🩵
Damn Hagrid was a menace to the Aurors who supported Dolores 😅. I never knew that he could be so brutal.
I LOVE those glasses ❤
Your last point on hagrid being half giant and immune to stuns really makes me believe Voldemort pinned myrtle’s death on hagrid because he actually saw the half giant as a threat, given that most of his spells wouldn’t affect hagrid. It got rid of hagrid and kept the school open
This video is awesome! There should definitely be a part 4.
"hair-me-onion-on-y"
-Victor Krum
Love this series! Although I'm pretty sure dumbledore mentioned the traumatized children in HBP, "the boys were damaged" or something like that
That scene was actually a deleted scene, I'm pretty sure, but they showed certain ones when the movies aired on TV in some places.
Another contributing factor to Harry using Crucio on Amicus might have been Amicus' willingness to throw students under the bus to save his own skin from Voldie.
Morgan I love how you and your channel has grown. ❤
Absolutely love these vids. Your knowledge of the books and lore is amazing! Have enjoyed all of these types and all your vids!
You can CLEARLY see how much Harry has grown up. When Bellatrix KILLED Sirius, Harry tried for the first time the cruciatus curse but failed because he didn't truly mean it. However when Carrow JUST spitted MacGonagall he hit him with the ultimate cruciatus curse and he truly meant it
Also, I've seen a lot of the things we were shown in Magic by Mikaila. Anyone else?
5:15 That head shake was personal.
Did you cover Oliver's savage streak?
From telling Harry to stop being a gentleman and to knock Cho off her broom if he has to also going back earlier that book when Oliver told Harry that he doesn't understand what was wrong with telling McGonagal that he doesn't care if the Fire bolt knocks Harry off it so long as Harry catches the Snitch first. "Honestly the way she was yelling at me you'd think I said something terrible."
And that is not even going into his ruthless training regiment that was a constant thing that he kept doing and got worse over the 3 years he was in the books. A feature that seemed to run off on Angelina Johnson the next captain who was so extreme in Oliver's example of ruthless training regiments down right brutal on occasions that one of the twins said he'll ask Pdir United if Oliver does because Angelina seemed to have inherited his spirit
The ai thumbnail just feels like you're provoking us at this point 😭
CHARLIE. BETTER 💪
Morgan you are beyond brilliant! And please tell peopel about dudley diet, that Ablus had the cloak and gave it back to harry, and tell people the moment that Harry finds out its Dumbledore's pet Fawks that feather is in his wand. Also that Dumldeore like lemon drops!
I love your videos Morgan you and Dean over at Harry Potter Folklore and Vampire Folklore hav taught me so much and I like listening to the videos while I'm working in my sketchbook their like ambience.
I love these videos revisiting the stuff we read in the book. Make me want to reread all the books again. Thank you!
It was nearly headless Nick who broke the vanishing cabinet. In the second book, filch caught Harry dripping mud on the floor and tried to give hin detention. But nearly headless Nick convinced Peeves to drop the vanishing cabinet on top of filch's office which broke the cabinet and saved Harry from detention
I love your vids!! Keep going you are amazing!!!!
Neville being tortured by Voldemort! I cannot believe this wasn't in the films
I love this series so much!! I hope you keep it up. Also you’re holiday looks lovely In the background I hope you had a good time ❤
Gryffindor vs Ravenclaw wasn’t the championship match in Prisoner. It was the semi-final. They were playing to see who would face Slytherin in the finals.
Order had G v R in the finals and Harry didn’t play in that one since he’d gotten banned.
My favorite? There are so many good ones, but I think the one I was the most excited about was the career consultation. To be fair, I love anything that gets in Umbridge's way, but this scene is also heart-warming, so it is more than just the joy of hating Umbridge.
I am happy to say that I haven't forgoten most of these ^^. The only one I kinda forgot was the moment between Molly and Harry.
Thank you for the video! I enjoyed it.
Morgan even though I've read the books I still like to see these videos...please make more of this series❤
Ginny flying into the commentator's box--pretty funny. I can imagine the look on Prof. McGonagall's face as such a lame excuse from such a talented quiddich player.
Hagrid vs. the Aurors---Hurray for Hagrid!
HP defending the honor of Prof. McGonagall in the Ravenclaw common room nearly brought me to tears. The Carrows certainly got what they deserved.
Correction: Barty Crouch, Junior was the best DADA teacher they had. 😁
I feel terrible for watching the films first as a kid and unable to complete the ninth chapter of The Goblet of Fire.
I really love this series, please keep making more of these videos!
12:46 Imagine dying and figuring out your awesome fake eye was given to Dolores Umbridge.
5:16 I feel like everyone in the world including me had that face when hearing that in the books and now.😂
Hey Morgan. I hope you're doing well!
Morgan does the best job with the explanations of everything! Never leaves us hanging
omg i LOVEE these vids
I'm reading harry potter for the first time I'm on 4 and absolutely love it but before i started reading it i knew most of these facts because of morgans great work
10:00 “you dare use my own spells against me, potter”
Another detail: in philosopher/sorcerer’s stone, after Harry got the rememberal from Draco Malfoy, Malfoy challenged him to a duel at midnight that night, but he never showed up, which resulted to them running into fluffy while running from filch
These videos are such nice flashback to everything 😍😍
Thank You, this video was excellent and well done❤!!!!!
Omg you're so productive, it's an art❤❤❤❤❤
Swifties ykyk
I love this series of videos. Like many, I read the books first so knew how much the movies omitted or changed. I hope those who only watched the movies watch your videos and head straight for the novels.
Additionally, only those who read the books will know to what "phlegm" refers; one of your additions to this list. Also, you are probably good for another two or more in this series.
the serial killer glasses r goated
