I love the fan theory that Victoire Weasley is called Victoire bc during a drunken game night Fleur lost a bet to Viktor and therefore had to name her first child after him.
and its just a lucky coincidence that Victoire means victory in French and that she was born on the same date as the battle of Hogwarts. Hence, Fleur had a better excuse/explanation as to why their child is named Victoire without having to admit she just lost a bet to an old friend.

Man, this really made me look at Krum differently, I always thought he was a bad character (for some reason) and now I truly know who he is.
i used to think he was a jerk and a guy who was in love with his quidditch image, especially at the line "Why should i be a quidditch star when all the good looking girls are taken?" that hit me in the wrong spot. But this vid made me think differently

The fact that Hermione even developed a crush on him because of how appreciated she felt by Viktor only made me realize how much Ron took her for granted. If not for Viktor asking her out, Ron would have never realized how much he loved and needs Hermione and would have never started appreciating her. In a way, Viktor was the reason Ron and Hermione's relationship proceeded!! 😊😊

This is why I love this series; I’m always surprised by the characters I like. Viktor is a very honorable and respectful guy; shame he wasn’t more involved in the fight against Voldemort, but he had his own battles to fight.

I agree that Viktor Krum is an underrated character and probably the most underrated of all Harry Potter characters. I love the way you explained his life with a bit more detail, this made me rank Viktor as the first on my list of favorites, keep up the great work, MovieFlame!

Victor pronouncing Hermione as "Her-mi-ow-ninny" reminds me of my mom pronouncing her name as "Her-mi-o-ne"
Actually, that's how I started reading the books. They were reading the first book in one of my children's classes, and I caught the teacher mispronouncing her name. "Okay, YOU read it to them!" So I did!

Well I’m French, and in French it’s pronounced Her-Mi-Own. So when I read the books (which was 2 weeks ago) it was really hard for my French mind to read Hermione Her-Mi-O-Ni, because in French we never prononce e’s at the end of words

I really liked Hermione's and Viktors romance in the books and I was kinda sad it didn't go anywhere, but I do think Ron and Hermione were a better couple

I was born and raised in Bulgaria and I was so excited when Rowling introduced Krum to the series! I always loved his character (I still remember when the film crew came to Bulgaria to cast for Krum, every Bulgarian HP fan was so excited)! But I learned so much about him in this video and about what a cool character he actually is! Thanks so much for making this☺️

I honestly don't know why was this like that since as a Bulgarian i have never seen someone with such thick accent to not be able to pronounce the name. I myself can say it completely fine, maybe JK didn't knew that well, maybe he was just made to be like that but I personally find it quite strange
As a Bulgarian this video and Krum make me so happy and to feel represented. Im not sure how much JK knew when writing him but I still love him and he is one of my favourite characters. Thank you for that video it really brought me much joy.

I feel like Neville’s mother would have cared enough to stand up to Voldemort, I mean she endured the cruciartis curse for hours as to not break the secrets of the order, it’s not a stretch to say she’d defend her son from Voldemort. Likely he could have gotten a scar.
However Snape would still be a death eater more than likely as Lily didnt die and he didn’t pay forward her sacrifice
But for the magic to work, the mother dying had to be offered a chance to live, not just willingly die protecting. The difference being, voldemort did not immediately kill and offered to let her stand aside, only because snake asked him to. (No death eater loved Mrs long bottom that we know of)
Its a pity that hermoine and krum didnt stay a couple. There was an obvious connection between those two and Ron at times always seemed like a forced pairing compared to krum who genuinely was deeply in love with hermoine.
@Camisha Cajes Not that weird though if you consider how mature hermione is for her age and krum is not exactly a genius except on a broom. Then there is the fact that many couples have an age difference.

Karkarov was actually one of the most despicable characters of the story. Up there with Umbridge. Even the way he helped to catch some people who had commit some of the most horrific crimes was low and pathetic. He was happy to hurt people, and he loved the power that being a death eater gave him. But as soon as he started to be punished, he quickly found out that he couldn't handle it. Not even a few months before he gave up everyone he knew to save himself

When i was a kid and watched the movies for the first time i was soo surprised and proud to even hear the name of my country. As i grew up and actually read the books i realised the true nature of Krum..that was not shown in the movie. ( i was 7 when i watched the movie) 🇧🇬🙌🏻
i personally feel that the use of clips from the movies is a great choice. Due to them being used in context to the books, the films have done a great job, i understand the movies themselves especially in comparison to the books have flaws, taking clips from them and changing the context to suit the books is perfectly fine. keep up the great content MovieFlame
Worth noting that in Harry Potter lore if Krum did in fact turn himself into a shark he would have become an actual feral shark, unable to cast spells and turn himself back. Like the story of the Hairy McBoons.
My favorite Krum moment was when he called out skeeter when she snuck into the champions tent before the first task. She immediately shut up and left.

I kinda agree. Ron’s insecurity and inferiority complex bothers me and he seems to drag her down. I don’t mind Krum’s jealousy as he just started to know Hermione and Rita was fueling speculations. But Ron knew Hermione for forever and it’s annoying that he gets jealous over Hermione catching up with Viktor (he should trust her more). I like how Viktor respected Hermione’s choice and backed off when he learn she’s with Ron.
Moreover Viktor appreciated Hermione for who she is before everyone else did.

I find him interesting and mysterious when he was first introduced in the book. I love the fact that he shut down Draco's attempts to get friendly with him. But when I saw the actor Krum in the movies I disliked him immediately and I don't know why. Lol! But when I get older I get to appreciate him and regretted loathing his character, he's such a manly man. His friendship with Harry and Fleur is just admirable and sweet. I liked him and Hermione together but Hermione ended up with Ron and I love Rupert/Ron so I'm still happy for them and Krum made his dreams come true and found the love that he deserved. 💖
