I was fishing at an urban lake once with one of my buddies when he got one of the biggest, rod-bending bites I’ve ever seen inside city limits. We figured he’d caught a monster cat from the fight it was putting up and the splashing.
Turned out to just be an absolute BEHEMOTH of a goldfish. Those suckers get HUGE.

They are probably better quality than the petstore ones

They were bought in a pet store and set free as they're invasive in America where this was finlemed. There the same lol

@@mattburke9554 They are same species I know that. I am saying they are better quality in terms of health. Have you seen how they keep their feeder goldfish in stores? They are a bunch of stunted and crowded babies. The ones out in the pond look much better.

Hey if you're still wanting some big giant goldfish I have four that are almost a footlong each
The biggest one she's about a footlong
I don't know what I'm going to do the 75 gal I have them in just broke
I have no equipment for my other tanks that they're currently going to be housed in

I've had for almost 3 years I have one female and three males they've never had babies so I don't think they're going to like reproduce I bought them at the pet store for like 20 cent man
Where my mom lives on the property they live on there is a pond that is not connected to any other waterway it's fed by a natural spring but there's no way it's getting to anywhere else does look a little yucky sometimes
I'm about to be homeless and can't find anybody to take my four massive goldfish
Could I release them in her pond? would they be okay?
It doesn't connect to any waterways so there's no threat of it going into other areas

If its a backyard pond with no other fish test the water first. If its safe then go ahead but if there are turtles they will get eaten.

Is it illegal to make a series on messing with an already invaded ecosystem? Like is this current one protected in any way?

      No

It is though, illegal in some areas to return non-native species to the water once you catch them. If you find yourself in a similar situation to this be sure to know the laws where you are.
