    I drove both and bought MYP. With $7500 tax credit, it is the better overall value. This is my first EV, and coming from my E350, the ride quality and road noise of the MYP are greatly exaggerated in my opinion. Loved the M3 LR but it felt small and doesn’t qualify for the federal tax credit.

    • @Ryguy092
      @Ryguy092 Před 10 dny

      I had the direct opposite experience. The model 3 in my opinion had worse overall quality and build. I owned it for three years and had so many issues. With the fact it is so short, rock chips and cracks in the windshield were so prevalent. Not only that, things weren’t really bolted down that well. My first couple weeks I had to bring it back to the dealership to have maintenance done due to small things falling off, making noise etc. on the other hand, the model Y (could be differences in year idk) I purchased this year is far superior in build quality. Nothing is making noise, the drive is much more smooth, everything is bolted down well (when pressed down it doesn’t shift or make noise) and it’s quite spacious. In hindsight, yes the car is meant for a larger family, but size comparison to the model 3 it’s not that much different. Besides the inside having much more space, the exterior is about the same width and length. The only noticeable change is the overall height. It gives you a van feeling without the bulkiness or heavy drive.

    Great vid. One thing to add is the ride quality. I was able to test drive (overnight) a RWD Model 3 and Long Range Model Y. The difference in ride quality between the two alone makes waiting for the refresh a must if the Y is what you want. The Y was so noisy and bumpy, and there was also a weird pressure inside the car that was made worse when going over bumps. Very odd feeling. Almost like a stuffy head feel after an hour of driving. None of those issues in the Model 3.

      You’d be surprised the model Y isn’t that much bigger than the model 3! I owned both cars, and favor the model Y far more.
