I think the author of the book, Harold Robbins originally wanted to expose the villainous life of Howard Hughes, but later feared the consequences, so he tried to fictionalize it as much as possible, and denied that it was about Howard Hughes.
why is this movie not available on yuo tube. Is that a Robbins matter. I saw the movie once in 67 in a half darkened room in the Middle East. what I saw was a decent smart film.
@@dreamquesttv Indubitably ! The late great Paul Frees also voiced the Pillsbury Doughboy & Little Green Sprout in the Jolly Green Giant TV commercials. One of the most prolific voice over artists of all time. His credits run into the hundreds & hundreds.
The main titles are different from the original theater version that I saw when new. Alan Ladd got a separate Special Guest Star frame. (I didn't know who that was and I wasn't impressed with him)
Watched it last night. For all its big budget, it was an amateurish cringe, so boring it needed gratuitous western-type brawls and Harlow wannabes slinking around. Laughably bad so... well, I had a good time!
