Thank you so much for these videos. I was in the market for a 2018/2019 F150. I don't have a high volume dealer near me so I always have to purchase out of town to get a decent price.
I called you guys to get a price quote and opportunity for my business and was not impressed at all. I damn near had to beg for pricing on a 2019 order as I need the payload package and they are hard to find. I asked for a quote on an XL and an XLT... never did get the XL quote. Also the salesman wouldn't tell me a break down or list any incentives I was eligible for unless he ran my credit report which is ridiculous.
So, I emailed another out of town dealer with what I wanted. He had detailed pricing back within a half hour for both vehicles I requested along with a breakdown of TTR for my area which I didn't even request. I had a deposit down on the truck within an hour of reaching out and only about 10 minutes of my time spent. They were so much easier to deal with than your guy. Anyway, some feedback for you as I really do appreciate these videos... it made it much easier to sort out the different options.

These videos are awesome. I stopped into my local (Austin, TX) Ford dealer last night and asked to get familiarized with the F-150 line. The woman I spoke with didn't the first thing on what was different between an XL, an XLT, or a Lariat. I spent over an hour at the dealer as they were more interested in gathering my information than sharing theirs. I sat in one truck, asked questions, and got no answers other than, "The Lariat is just more options than the XLT." I knew that going in, but didn't know WHAT was different in each configuration.
Seriously, these videos should be on Ford's site. There are so many options in an F-150, it's hard to know what's available in any configuration. But, these videos you have really explain things very well.

Too bad not a lot of people want 2 door regular cab pickups anymore, which is kind of sad. Most other manufacturers are going with super crew or 4 door pickups standard. I personally like regular cab pickups.
Mark Meadows most people make them family vehicles so it makes sense for 4 doors.

Thinking about getting a 2018 Ford F-150 XL has the 3.3L V6, I noticed it has the yellow gas ring ( E85/Gasoline ), What fuel is recommended? Can you use ether fuel? Thanks for Sharing

why no rear slider on the regular cabs?
ECO BOOST are awesome for power and FUEL mileage but the start /stop might be good for grid lock but for normal use TURN it off as it wears out your starter !! Go see what that costs to replace . l don t care for the new grill but that s up to you.These trucks ride great have lots of storage places for those like me when traveling have lots of stuff.
I dont understand why fird doesn't do a "plus" for the 100A. Give me the 101A but with manual windows and lock, only power options I want or need are mirrors and cruise. And give us the option of atleast a 6 speed manual for the XL and let the customer mix and match again

Great video. I went with the 2019 STX Supercrew 4x4 and 5.0 it just seemed to be the best bang for the buck. I can live without leather and gadgets. Cloth seats and vinyl floor with Sync 3. It's a truck not a luxury car.

The one thing that really bugs me about the F-150 is you can't get cruise control without adding a very expensive upgrade package that includes other things I just don't want.
What's the largest gas tank available on the SuperCab wheelbase? What do you have to order to get the 36gal tank? ...can you install one of the larger tanks at the Dealership? I'm looking at getting a SuperCab with 6.5 bed, 2.7L, FX4. Thanks to you I am more clear on how to build the truck. I'd like to be able to tow if I need to. No chrome; and rubber floors are important as I go into marshes a lot ...and I've never liked chrome. The Shorter wheelbase SuperCab is better for me, although the SuperCrew with the 5.5 bed is the same length overall.
Standard fuel tank is 26 gallon, the 36 gallon fuel tank is a stand alone option.

Regular Cab comes in 6.5' or 8' bed
I have a question. I just bought a ( left over ) new 2018 XLT. It has a lot of upgrades. It has the back up assist , 36 gallon tank, blind spot system, LED in bed of truck, Chrome pkg, trailer hitch and much more. BUT it doesn’t have the trailer break controller. Shouldn’t that have been included in my tow pkg ? I see all the trailer set up info on my small screen over the steering wheel. So do you just have to order the trailer break controller by it’s self ? Just checking. Thanks for any info you can give me. Awesome video.
Normally Trailer Brake Controller is an optional equipment unless you get the Max Trailer Tow Package, it is included in that Package but not the Trailer Tow Package itself.

You are correct you would need to get a 8' bed on a regular cab to get the 3.5L Engine, I over looked that.

Can the service dept disable the automatic shutoff at the stop sign stop light deal?? If not I'll just look at another brand.
No they can't but I have noticed in some of the Ford vehicles in the settings where you can de-activate the auto start/stop. I am also seeing that many of the brands are going to this technology. I drove an F-150 with this and it works seamlessly. This is the 2nd or 3rd year it's been available. They first started using it on the 2.7L V6 Ecoboost when it came out.
When I first got my truck it did bother me a little bit, but now I’m used to it. If you do much city driving it really does help gas mileage quite a bit. I’m just scared of if it’ll have electronic issues down the line because of it.
I thought all makes were coming out with that crap.
I just got a ‘18 XL with the Auto Start/Stop... there is a button to turn it off... I kept it on because it really does help with fuel economy in horrible Atlanta traffic
Brian Waller you did say at night... completely different traffic flow... try getting to Norcross down to the airport at 5 in the afternoon in 40 mins
Is the cloth interior in an XL the exact same cloth as the XLT? Can you get a Sync 3 upgrade in XL?
The seats on the XL and XLT are similar, maybe a different design but the material would be the same. SYNC3 isn't available on the XL, you would need to go the XLT Luxury (302) Equipment Group to get that.

@@adampruitt9211 Maybe an aftermarket company can do that, I will only recommend things that can be done from the Ford manufacture and accessories and service. I don't believe that can be done.

No, only available on the super cab or supercrew with 101A equipment group.

3.3 v6 hands down for me over that turbo 2.7 any turbo will be problems in the long term.

No, high output 3.5L motor is only available in the raptor super cab or super crew or limited super crew
Can you get the regular 3.5 turbo in a regular cab, short bed ?
No cruise control in the base xl model, bummer for fleet guys driving on the highway.

das 1988 I’ll just stick to the older models and keep them running. Not just Ford but all the truck manufacturers have lost there minds with all this expensive crap that breaks after the warranty is gone. Plus the prices of these new trucks are ridiculous!
Older truck break too.... but, I can fix them and parts are cheaper and widely available.
They can all keep these new technologies and truck. I’m good with my older ones.
@@clayfree7428 I just bought a standard regular cab work truck. Sure it has auto stop but I just turn it off before I take off.. Yeah I guess you can continue to keep clunkers going but that will only be feasible for so long. If I can get 10-12 years out of a 31,000 truck I will be happy.
das 1988 I can buy 3 good $10 k (clunkers as you say) trucks in good shape with minimal repair and cheaper parts and ride for 20 years.
Just saying.... I’m not interested in theses over priced, over engineered, cheaper built trucks that are being produced this day and time.

As for cars being cheaply made today...that is just not true. People buying new vehicles today....the don't need luck. Most can go ten years or longer with minimal maintenance.

@@Anth230 I found a way! Above the break is a white box with three connectors, the small connector is for the start/stop, I just unplugged it. Works great! Look up "disable start stop on 2018 F150" on CZcams, a guy called Blue.

If I'm paying for the gas I will decide when to turn off and on my truck. That is imported euro technology that the genius in Dearborn thought would be a good idea. No thanks.
