2024 Cadillac Lyriq Review: Modern Electric Flagship Done Right

- The 2024 Cadillac Lyriq is the brand's first fully-electric car and it's a good one. Based on GM's #Ultium EV platform, the #Lyriq is a great expression of modern (electric) Cadillac. It's quiet, supremely comfortable, and serene. Despite its 500 HP and 450 lb-ft of torque, the one thing it's not is sporty - and that's okay. We'd go with something other than black on black, but even in "livery colors" here, the Lyriq is a great #EV for luxury buyers.

My 70 yo dad loves his Lyriq. Being a vertically challenged family, we like the sitting higher up feel w the low dash where we could actually see the road. So many other cars are so claustrophobic nowadays.
I like your channel and auto reviews so far! Keep up the great work!
We’ve had a 2024 AWD for about 10 months now …. love it!
A word about the power , like traditional Cadillacs the power comes on like a “whoosh” , smooth and progressive rather than a “snap”
It doesn’t give you the full 500 hp until about 30 mph and at that point it becomes very quick
Glad you’re loving it so far!
If you get the Velocity Max package it will perform more like a sports car. It lowers the 0-60 time significantly as well.
Correction: they now just call it the Velocity package instead of Velocity Max.
Seen a few of these in town and they definitely do have some presence and IMO look quite good.
Yeah, I live in nyc and I see them almost daily now. Lots of TLC plates (Uber black) but a lot of regular folks driving them. I think the bigger wheels make it look all the better but either way it’s a really eye catching vehicle.
I feel like Cadillac is at the point where they could place with Lucid if they wanted, and Buick could step up to Mercedes, especially since they try to sell a GLB next to GTs. Envista is not a far reach from GLA, and let's be honest, GLS customers would not be able to differentiate an Enclave Avenir.
I see you are family and just subscribed.

Great video, though one little detail regarding the screen; it is a single display, not two separate displays.
You're right. I think in every use case I've ever seen, though, the display is divided into two separate sections. Semantics, I guess, but you are correct.
What i assume was the image stabilization made the video wonky, do not recommend. Perhaps a hand grip steady cam rig instead.
Otherwise appreciated the video! Good presentation as always.
I love Cadillacs design language and interior. I don’t like “sport” trim that don’t improve sportiness.
Yeah, this one would be better off with a different trim/colorway and feel more Cadillac-ish.
Get rid of the Chick Fil A commercial at the beginning. 😂😂😂
If we could... ugh. Unfortunately we don't get to pick the ads that show and having CFA show up is massively disappointing.
Love the LGBT aspect, just subscribed ❤
Glad you found us! 💕
Observation. Did you pass a vehicle while in the merging lane? Not exactly safe as drivers do not expect cars to pass. Secondly, did I miss the turn signal sound? It’s must when changing lanes. Thanks for the review. Go electric!
Screen isn't "wacky"
