Right now I'm working on my Summoner Cosplay from Final Fantasy XIV. Just finished the boot covers and thought, it would be a great tutorial on how to make your own shoes for your upcoming costume!
Write me a comment and let me know if it was helpful! More videos from my Summoner will follow soon! :)

I'd like to add one thing to the pattern making process: do not wrap one single strip of tape all the way around your leg. You will end up making it too tight, which is not only extremely uncofortable but it also pushes whatever chub you have in your limb up or down, messing up your shape. For a snug but comfortable fit I like to put the tape on vertically instead of horizontally, though kamui's method of taping two pieces horizontally seems to work too.
+Peachy and the Smile Good tip! Yes I always try to use very small strips
You can actually see that the tape is pretty loose
Just to put my reaction into perspective, the thumb nail made these look like tights. I'm completely blown away by the effort put into these. Like, I know cosplay really is a time-exhaustive labor of love, but it's another thing all together to see how much skill is put into this.
For people that don't have the airbrush system, you can also use regular chrome silver spraypaint. And instead of the black oil color you can also use acrylic paint.
spork tysm! 😄
Oh dang, adding the plastic bones inside is super smart??? I'm totally trying that.
I'm making my very first cosplay build and I'm learning everything from your videos and books!
Thank you so much for putting the effort in to share all of this!
Thank you for making tutorials on youtube as well as making the books for people to purchase! It's great to be able to see how you go through the process visually as well as reading about it!
The Corgi ending was awesome!
The urge to buy your books - even though I've never actually started any real cosplay projects - is rising.
Uuuhhhh! I'm getting close! :3
i bought all of your books and then decided to make a malthael cosplay an aion cosplay and a genderbend mercy cosplay. you rock!
LOL right....?
I LOVE this video and your shoes came out so cute!!!!!
Your tutorial videos always give me so many ideas!!
Wow, simply wow. What you can creat is remarkable. I'm stunned by how amazing it looks
This. IS. SO. insanely. Awesome!!! I love it!
So cool! I love all the little details and shading :) great job!
i really like this process style of video. of course, i really love your tutorials as well, but it's really helpful to see the order in which you do your pieces. :) can't wait for the next one.
Those are so outrageously gorgeous you guys are so talented
your accent is literally the best. and I love your tutorials!
This was so amazing to watch! Super inspiring and helpful! Thanks so much for sharing!!
My friend had ordered your books for me for my birthday. THANK YOU SO MUCH for the sweet birthday message in the books and for the yummy gummy bears.
:DDDD
Im so excited to try out your tips and tricks from your book!!

They looked amazing
I need those books! I love your cosplays so much and you are so adorable :D
"Buy my books" HAHAHA 😂😂😂
Ikr!!!
She too cute
Thanks for this! They look amazing!
Man, I really want your books, but I want to wait until I can afford the physical copies
Just try to find pirated copies.
@@yongyea4147 that's a shitty thing to suggest in the comments of a creator who relies on selling their books to live.
I have been inspired by your extroinary energy on all of your video tutorial, so I purchased lots of your designs book, thanks for the amazing talent, both of you and korggies, fun to watching your video, I think both of you are extremely talented,. Thanks.
that was awesome!! so much fun to watch! great job!!
This is such a helpful tutorial! I'm trying to make boot covers for a pair of heeled boots I have that are super comfy so I don't want to limit them to one costume, I'm gonna pretty much follow this exactly just with the heels on and instead of glueing them to the heals I'm gonna use velcro strips around the edge of the sole and then put a trim on the fabric to make it tidy where the fabric and sole meet 😆
Again thank you so much for the tutorial, I am definitely gonna save up so I can get the physical copies to your books!
Incredible, thank you ♥️
I'm glad i purchased all the books when i had the chance.
Wonderful work
Awesome stuff, you've given me more reason to want an airbrush.
+Pat Ellwood Get one! You won't be disappointed!
wow your truly talented
I LOVE YOUR TUTORIALS
I just want to say you have an incredible amount of talent, I'm in awe :) I really want to take these tutorials and make an outfit of my own :D
It's not really talent. I've just been doing it for a long time.
Haha the corgi bit at the end!
I was very excited with Symmetra cosplay, but I screamed when I saw this video. You're producing all my favourite things! I play WHM on FFXIV. Maybe when I find a glam I like, I'll think of cosplaying her too ^_^ Such a great example! It makes me want to try! Thank you! Don't tell me you're going to Fanfest aaaah!
They're perfect!
You are lots if fun, thanks for the excellent tutorial.
Brilliant video! I can't wait to see more for this cosplay! I played as a Mi'qote White Mage on FFXIV :)

Pretty Awesome!!!!
Ok, I'm definitely buying the books again... 😄
oh my god... seing over the pins, that would help my work so frikin much _-_
This was cool I was just wondering if you left an inch on the sides to make room for sowing and also I'd love to see how you made the slip on shoe stuff on your Overwatch Symnrtra cosplay. Love your tutorials!!!
They look awesome, the airbrushing makes them look really cartoony :D

I BOUGHT YOUR BOOKS!
I honestly thought this was printed! Nice work!
Hi there! I love your videos! Tell Benny he did a fabulous job. Give your Corgis a good rub on the tummy too for being so cute. You really know how to do your craft so we'll. If I feel sad or I don't feel good I just watch one of your videos and it perks me up. Thank you. Keep up the great work. God bless.
You should make a "Sewing basics" book :) I love cosplaying and making armor with worbla or EVA foam, but I barely know how to sew. Would definitely buy that book!
+Sara I actually thought about that yes!
adorable super awesome!!!!!
Thanks! :)
i like the end haha :)) buy it
It's GREAT!
Thanks! :)
lol love the ending when she shout "buy my books"
Super gutes Tutorial.
very beautiful
I
Awesome! :D
I'm curious if this would work with heels....? PS LOVE your vids, they make me wanna cosplay sooo bad!!!
You are awesome!!! 😁 😁
and the most important lesson is.....
always pet the Corgi!
Hehe the ending was the best! 'byee... BUY MY BOOKS' So cute
The ending though 😝
GOOONESS THE END! "BUY MY BOOK!"
I buy you're book ❤
They look très chic
yay! awesome vids as always =3
Little question Kamui, do you have your books in spanish?
yes, she have. I have one of them. In every book says if is available in Spanish
www.kamuicosplay.com/tutorial-books/
Yes I have my first three books out in Spanish! :)
I would like to ask what glue do you recommend for the boot cover in general? Is there a particular brand you like to use? :) I am planing my first boot covers
I love your accent!
Hello! I bought some of your books and I will be using them to make a Ronin Warrior cosplay for my husband. What kind of primer did you use that is able to be sanded? And do you have a preferred brand of contact cement? Thank you so much!
Could you cover how to make resin deer hooves?btw love your channel supper easy to follow.
Check out Lightning Cosplay 'schannel
I love them! Is there a particular type/brand of contact cement you used on these?
I use the one from cosplayshop.be or minque.nl but in the USA you can also use Barge cement.
Kommt ganz drauf an welchen Stoff du benutzt.
Hi Kamui :) I was wondering if even with the boning, did your boots end up falling during photoshoots or cons? I'll be working on Dehya from Genshin Impact soon and was considering using that technique on the thigh high boots instead of using tights :) Thank you!
I love the look of the furniture leather you use, it looks so much softer and more pliable than the leather I can find! Do you mind me asking if it has a particular name, or where I can get some?
+Feather Stitched We just bought ours over Amazon.de 😮We call it Alcantara but I'm not sure if that's the same in English!
KamuiCosplay thank you so much for responding! I'm in Spain, so I'm sure I will be able to find some similar, or ship it in :)
I'll be trying out boot covers soon, but mine will have to be completely closed, out of faux leather (I will be using a zipper of course!). Do you have any tips for making covers like that? Do I use the same method or will I be too restricted in movement? It's for Kitana's tournament skin from MKX!
can you please do a tutorial on one of mirajane's (fairy tail) transformations?
pretty please with corgis on top
can you please tell me if the black fabric up the back of your boots was of a stretchy material like what you have used in some of your other tutorials [a legging type fabric] or was it also a faux leather fabric.
The boots look great, especially with all the detail work. How comfortable were these boots to wear?
They were actually super comfortable!
cool fairy.
Does it also work for heel shoes? I bought a non elastic leather fabric and I was wondering if the result would be nice as well
Is that ok to use acrylic paint for adding contrast to fabric ? 🤔 Or i should use fabric paint ?
