The Oris ProPilot X Calibre 400 was a great find! If only it didn't cost $6,500!!
It was still well worth checking out, here's my thoughts on a solid Titanium watch that's plain on the outside and big on the inside.
Thanks as always for watching, Jess đ

I had this watch for a bit. I agree that the bracelet is great. I think the price point is pretty fair for what you get. I actually sold it to fund the Tudor Pelagos 39. I'm a fan of Oris Big Crown Pointer as well. As someone who owns Cartier, Rolex, Omega, Tudor and AP, I have no problem wearing an Oris.
Nice! Yes, Oris is a new brand for me - so I am learning about them and their quality. I love that bracelet! I need to check out the Big Crown Pointer for sure.
You sold it for a Pelagos! Each to their own but for me the Pelagos is a seriously boring watch.
That clasp is so cool.
It sure is!
Oris my favourite brand!!!

I have to agree with you on that watch, I also find it a little underwhelming. I would def choose the Oris Big crown over that one w/pointer date. Oh and you're doing a great job keep it up.
Thanks Dave!
I love Oris watches, I personally feel Oris sits slightly above tudor. They have exceptional quality and style.
I agree exceptional quality!
Nice review! I've had one of these on at the AD and yes, somewhat 'understated' but if that is your thing it's well done. I had my Tudor BB58 on at the time and while they are different beasts no doubt this is at least as well-made. If you 'get it' it's a watch that can be a partner in life's adventures for decades. In a watch rotation, keep in mind that you need to wear it successive days get a full wind for the 120 hours.
Thanks Chris! I still love the bracelet and agree very well made. Not sure Iâll add one to my collection but itâs been nice to have it visit!
Great video my friend.. this watch is awesome! I really like it with the salmon dial, very understated, fun and not too serious like the big brands, the clasp is brilliant and the bracelet has a great design and a lovely taper, it would be cool if you can do a review of the New Oris Big Crown Pointer Date Caliber 473.. now that watch is freaking cool! That manual caliber with a 5 day power reserve indicator and that gorgeous baby blue dial in a perfect 38mm caseđ„.. would love to hear your thoughts on it.. Cheers! âïžđđ
Thanks Anthony. Iâd love to get my hands on the Big Crown. Iâll have to see if I can borrow one. Thanks!
It's a beautiful watch. The bracelet and clasp look awesome, but I'm particularly fond of the crown and diagonally ribbed bezel. I also dig the matte, monochrome finishing of the titanium throughout the case and bracelet. Somehow it has a very calming, harmonious "Zen" feel, particularly with the date at 6:00. Lovely watch! Having said that, I certainly don't think it's worth $6,500, Australian or otherwise. That's just crazy talk.
Yes, $6500 is crazy... but I still think that bracelet and clasp are fantastic. It's exceptionally understated - I still feel the dial is a little bland, but that's having the luxury of comparing it to so many other options.
Nice review! Subscribed :)
Thank you đđŒ
Great tech specs and excellent value for the features offered. Unique bracelet and clasp design. However this is definitely for the enthusiast. Perhaps a cheaper alternative for someone who likes the IWC Ingenieur but hasn't the budget. Unfortunately a bit boring on the dial aesthetics. Oris is an innovative independent brand and I would highly recommend them to anyone just getting into mechanical Swiss watches. I would prefer Oris over Tag Heuer at this price point. If you don't care for brand status and function over form is your taste then I would also recommend Oris over Tudor, Breitling and even an Omega Aqua Terra. You get a lot of features without the marketing b.s that the other well known brands include in their costs. But Oris is like Volvo cars. They're safe, reliable and dependable but fairly bland in design. Maybe better suited to the conservative engineer rather than the flamboyant architect
Great Volvo analogy.

Look at you too cool for school
