LEGO STREET RACER CHARACTER PROFILE - BUTCH

If there's no commitment, then there's no point.
This is Butch. Butch is someone special for numerous reasons. He was voted prom king back in his day, he had a perfect attendance record for his job, met his perfect girl and was engaged. And he almost won the possession of the fastest car on the strip: the legendary GTV8!
Butch was one of the first to arrive on the scene with a very different car. One much slower and lesser looking than what most others had brought to the strip. But thanks to his driving skills and his silver tongue, he won a race against 3 of Brick Daddy’s associates. Brick Daddy was impressed and invited Butch to his office. One brief exchange later, Butch was welcomed into a new family.
A month later, Butch was challenged to a race by a young man named Illidan. Illidan had arrived at the strip a few days after Butch joined Brick Daddy’s mafia. The legend of the GTV8 was born when Illidan arrived as he won every race and challenge put towards him. Brick Daddy saw the car and wanted it. He went to Butch, demanded he challenge Illidan to the short ‘home course’ race as the yellow car would be forced to go slow in the corners. Butch would have an easy win, but Illidan was wise to this.
The race was changed to the full home course and Butch agreed, to Brick Daddy’s annoyance. Two people from the crowd joined in out of excitement, and Brick Daddy countered that by forcing two of his guys, Vixon and Ghost, to join in as well to make sure Brick Daddy got the car he wanted.
As the race was soon approaching its end, Ghost and Vixon had taken out the two extra racers and Illidan was next. This was Butch’s job, he gave the GTV8 a huge bump and went off the road. Events transpired, and Illidan was only just able to race away. Butch was fuming as he lost his target and went back empty handed.
Everyone now knows that Butch drove off Illidan and he is not one to be trusted. He still has a connection to Brick Daddy, but it’s held by a thread. And people see Brick Daddy as related somehow but the connection was never made. One day, Butch will have to amend this massive error.
