I'd like to see Taliesins take on playing a wizard. We have seen Ranged and Melee martial and a supportive caster. Squishy glass cannon should be next :) (as opposed to a glass hammer.. ba dum tsch)

I'm deeply curious to see what happens if you de-magic the Bard. Keep the flavour, Jack Of All Trades and maybe one instrument, but swap out all of the spells with martial stuff. Just in case, for example, you happen to exist in a time period where only the people in the floating cities get magic and you're just some grounded poor non-caster, but you still want the entertainer vibe...

I feel like he could do fantastic things with a Ranger, that class has SO much flavor, but the mechanics desperately need a Taliesin style deconstruction and rebuild.

So someone did a summary of Ashton’s action economy on Reddit and after looking it over I’ve seen spellcasters with less complicated action economy than what Ashton has going on

I really enjoy the way Tal thinks and analyzes stuff. I also am a big fan of playing overly complicated mechanisms that are more thematic than optimized and has chaotic effects so I'm personally glad he brings that to CR. I first saw him in the celebrity d&d with Crews and Baker and I noticed how he quietly and subtly helps newer players out because he's paying attention to them. Since then I've seen him do the same with CR guests and it's something I appreciate in people.
Also I think you do a really solid job interviewing the TTRPG folks. Feels conversational and still gets interesting tidbits out of the guests.

True… Liam likes dark gritty story telling usually. Or can whip up some amazing dark humor narratives. If there’s ever a story tally boy would be in for candala this would be it.. though grant tal would be amazing at giving a story too. Holy fuck loved his cthulu stuff

Out of all the cast interviews that I have watched I feel the most love for Tal's. Mostly because I feel as if I were interviewed I would react in a similar fashion. I adore his giggle. If I could get that as a ring tone it would make my lifetime.

Comment kind of in bullet points because today is a not good very bad brain day, connecting thoughts is... no. But this video has made the day less awful.
Crystal Palace is still one of my favourite one shots, and Candela has been everything I hoped for as a bigger, more intense spiritual successor. I love the stepping away from the Cthulhu style of things.
Taliesin's reaction to a year is relatable AF. What the hell even is time.
"I blame Liam" Seems to always lead to great things :D Liam is brilliant, and I was SO delighted when he was announced as GM, his character in the last circle broke my heart (in the best way.)
Taliesin's crunchy subclasses bring me SO much joy, I hope he never stops asking for/making them.
Okay but I want to see "The Penultimate Voyage of the Demeter" as a one-shot.
    Great interview :)

We try and make sure we cover what is in our titles. Just remember that we have a very finite number of characters we can use in a CZcams title, so often times we have to truncate things just to make stuff fit, but we always try and make sure we deliver on titles and thumbs

I would love to run or be in a game with the Triumvirate or one of the other secondary factions and do a chapter from their perspective. One of their missions or logs that... maybe goes wrong. That bleeds into Candela stepping in and solving(?) it.

I love Critical Role and the cast. However, I have tried and tried to watch CO, but unfortunately I can never make it more than 30 min. It just feels overdone and more like improv theater instead of a TTRPG - far removed from a group of friends sitting at a table playing a game.
**I know if anyone says anything negative about CR that they are swamped with 'Well you don't have to watch' or 'You could have just scrolled past' or 'The cast doesn't do this for you' (They are a huge multi-media company now and specifically CO is a product they are selling, so I'm afraid they are doing this for us). I realize all of these things and this was not meant as an attack.

    • @GraphicSushi
      @GraphicSushi Před 3 měsíci +5

Agreed, I love CR and I'm looking forward to see Daggerheart roll out, but CO seems really roleplay heavy and (as you said) more like improv theater. Which I think is a good description of it. I'm sure some people love that kinda thing, but it's not mine.

Tal needs to play something broken, which was when he realized that the bloodhunter class wasn't as strong as he wants, he killed off molly (purposely taking damage to down himself when he was about to be attacked twice) and then just rolled a standard cleric archetype with Caduceus
