I think we are overlooking depth behind Watt and Highsmith. Herbig shows a lot of promise but he isn't enough to properly spell both sides. And, screw the trolls. These people couldn't do what you do, DK. They certainly wouldn't want us coming into their lives nitpicking every little mistake. ❤🔥🍻

Love the show DK! Of every podcast I listen to, you are without a doubt my favorite. You don’t “shoot” or “hot take” shows to get views. You just tell it like it is. Nobody is perfect. Keep putting out shows, and I’ll keep watching/listening.

DK, the material coming from the heart is PRECISELY why your show is loved. All that said, I know Cam is nearing the end of his career. Even with the draft, it doesn’t quite feel like DT has been figured out. I know we have some talent at the position, so how do we get the most out of our D-Line and preserve Cam this season?

Dejan, warm regards. First of all my thankfulness for such a great coverage of the draft, didn't miss any report from you. Other than that my unconditional support on your work and independent criteria, which lead us, your suscribers, to really understand and meet the real situation in the franchise, you are our guy ! Lastly, you have read me on the love for Cory Trice, who I saw in at least two college games. He is in my opinion a "clone" of JP but with more agile and less toughness in the tackling game. This young guy flies in the coverage over the receiver, he is truly fast. He is not a zone DB, he excels on personal coverage. Can't wait to watch him healthy "in the real world". I also want to point out, that this probably will be the first year in many, when we will have a tough bunch of linebackers that can face big targets over the middle of the field, I can't forget how we were beaten by the chiefs and other teams just throwing to TE or big WR and we were lacking of defenders to stop those offense. G'day Dk from Australia. Always good to hear your thoughts on the Steelers, insightful and never boring. I tune in also to the Ramon Foster show, where the 11 year Vet shares his knowledge. If possible, 2 shows a week would be nice for us tragics.
As a Purdue fan and have watched Trice throughout his time there, if he maintains his health, we have a diamond folks.

Improvement on the offensive side of the ball in the way of long ,sustained drives will go a long way to keeping this D healthy, they spent waayyy too much time on the field the last couple seasons. And they still finished in rhe rop 10 last yr. Ignore the ones giving you a hard time for a simple mistake they're the ones who think your name is Dan. Keep up the great work DK, and thanks
Exactly! The best defensive play is keeping the opposition offense off the field. The worst defensive play is 3 and out for our offense ... especially if 2 are incomplete passes. Sustained, clock killing offensive drives that flip the field, even if it doesn’t end in points are a defense’s best friend. If our offense can stay on the field long enough to stress their defense as much as ours has been stressed the last 3 years, good things can happen. As you said, look how much success we’ve had with an anemic offense. Your point is too overlooked. The defense being able to get off the field in the 4th quarter when they are tired and defending a small lead is a tough task.
DK, I don’t think people were being judgy. We were (at least I was) just trying to save a friend. I love the work you do. I read all your articles I follow you and mon. You see me all the time in all of your chats, you have help me immensely with my Steeler knowledge, so if I could be kind enough to catch one mistake for you even if it was a typo, I would because I love your work. ILB room, 4 deep if Holcomb comes back and the Steelers don't have to rush him back plus Robinson is good on special teams! Haven't seen this position group look like this on paper in a long time! One thing to remember DK. The QB play has been subpar since Ben left. It’s exponentially better now. That being said. The DB play better get exponentially better in OTA’s and mini camp. A bad QB will make a DB look great. Have a great day DK.

Hey DK love the show and was able to stop by this last weekend to see the shop but you were working😢 however I would like to see a big physical WR but we haven’t had one in awhile so is this it for the WR room ?
I think the only potential weak spot on the Defense is the defensive line with the lack of quality depth. I think we have bottom of the barrel backups on the defensive line right now.
Love that you slip a name time to time I never notice it but I guess others just wait for a goat at his job to slip then pounce. Your honest not scripted and entertaining an information an a lot of us enjoy the show even with a name fart. I can't pronounce a few names and they get a NIC name. J1Q: Good morning DK. I myself always enjoy rooting and watching to see how any UDFA develop. Every once in a while you'll find yourself with a James Harrison, Willie Parker or a Jaylen Warren. I, personally am very excited about Beanie Bishop. A little undersized for a CB but 4 INT and 20 PD last season, the kid looks promising. Do you have any undrafted players or rookie camp invites that have you interested, or have stuck out to you?

With so many Wilsons, mistakes are inevitable ... and entertaining ... but it’s easy to figure out in context. Rock on DK. Gonna be a heck of a year. I love this time of the year when week after week, with all the talk and high hopes, we remain undefeated. Thanks for bringing up Mason. I really hated to see him go. He was my ideal of the perfect Steeler QB on and off the field ... especially after I listened to his interview with Ramon and to hear Big Al talk about him. The only positive I see is that ignoring Mason likely cost Canada his job.

I remember watching NFL films and they had a show on the history of the Steelers before they were any good and In this episode they were highlighting Bill Saul I remember him saying something to the effect that you may beat us but you're gonna know that you had played the Pittsburgh Steelers. I feel like the way this team is being put together is really inline with who the Steelers are and have always been and I can't wait to see it play itself out on the field.

It is a long season and resting players all through the year takes more managing than in past seasons. Having capable backups and using them are key.
It's pretty crazy that after all this time, suddenly the inside linebacker room might be the strength of our defense
I recently watched a show where they had NC States Defensive coordinator om talking about Wilson. He said in 30 years or however long its been and having many 1st round LB's, That he thought wilson is probably the best he ever had. He said at no time ever did he think he wasn't the fastest person on the field, Including any receiver or running back. He was gps clocked at 23.4mph chasing down a ND player, Which is literally pure insanity at 6'3 233. I don't believe any nfl receiver to date has been clocked at that fast of a top speed.
When asked about injury history, He said he's played 2 years, Never missed a snap in practice, constantly on the field, Super intelligent, Watches tons of tape, Diagnosis plays incredibly quick and is a ridiculous tackler.
He said, Anyone can get injured at any time, And they weren't any more concerned about him as they were any other player.
He concluded,.Saying the Steelers got a Steeler. And we are going to love what he brings to this team.
I'm excited for him, And to see what he brings to this team.

we may find out before your next video, but do you anticipate they exercise Najee's 5th year option? I understand not signing RBs to long term deals but a 6m option seems like an easy decision for a durable back, regardless of how well Warren has played. Esp with how much they've invested in the OL the last 2 years.
Im just curious, the steelers seem to be having a really good offseason, but Im curious, does anyone else think the D Line didnt get much attention. With Cam getting older, Im just curious when we start seeing a D Line rebuild. I like Benton, but didnt see much get added in this draft.

My hope is that the Steelers start a trend on hitting on draft picks like last year & stop having to cut busts & become long term Steelers instead of relying on free agency to fill holes

I also think with Trice being anointed, when you’re so bad at a position for so long, a new young player showing flashes of talent is a beacon of hope. This isnt a knock on Trice but more of a shot at how terrible our CBs have been for so long. Joe Haden was really good, other than that theres been no one in recent memory outside of JPJ who has been good
Any player on the field can do down with a serious injury on any given play. It's a very dangerous game to play for the human body. And now Godell wants to add yet another game? Insane. If anything, they should cut it back to 14 games. Either that or double the size of the roster. The Steelers were starting guys off the street in a playoff game last year.

Many of the injuries can also be traced backed to Pickets inability to even get a first down most 1st half’s. Too much time on the field for our defense.
I def think payton wilson will pair up with queen and roberts come in on obv runs
