    Running backs are still very valuable. Once you get to the end of the season and playoffs, defense and running are ALWAYS the difference. In fact, other than quarterback, an exceptional running back is the most valuable asset to any team if you have a good defense. You can have a suck quarterback, a good defense, and a great running back; you can compete for a super bowl. No other position on the field offers that level of value. Exhibit A: Young Derek Henry with the Titans. Currently, there are no Eric Dickerson or Earl Campbells in the league, but if they were, those teams would still compete with the best of them. I'm not saying they'd beat Kansas City, but they'd compete.

    I bet deep down Harris is relieved.
    The quicker he has a chance to go to a team with a real offense with real coaches. Instead of playing on the team with one of the lowest assistant coaching budgets in the entire NFL.

    I'm sure these guys talk and know that someone who's in an obvious run situation is probably going to average a little less for Carrie than the guy who's in there on 3rd and 15 and gets a 12-yard draw play

    Florio saying the Panthers should have taken Patrick mahomes instead of Christian McCaffrey is stupid. I'm glad that he's getting called out for it. Christian McCaffrey's been fine and as the other guy pointed out they already had a quarterback. And Patrick mahomes on a team away from Andy Reid Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill probably isn't as good.

    How did guys used to play 10 seasons carrying 300+ times a season and nowadays these “better athletes” can’t. Najee feels like a guy that can handle the load and stay healthy. He is not a game breaker though so that has to cap his value.

  • @NathanDean79
    @NathanDean79 Před měsícem

    Great now Najee can be a Bengal in 2025! I mean all he does is put up 1000+ yard seasons every year. All 3 years he has 1000+ yards rushing. Last year he averaged 4.1 ypa which is better than 21 and 22 in which he averaged 3.9 and 3.8 respectively. He is almost 6’2’’ 235-24O pounds and had a career high 8 rushing TDs last year. Oh and check this out because this is one of the most amazing thing Najee has done, he has NEVER missed a game due to injury or any other thing in his 3 years in the league. He played and started 17 games in 21, 22, 23. So again thank you Pittsburg. If y’all’s offensive line wasn’t trash Najee would be more effective.

  • @adamrhome8055
    @adamrhome8055 Před měsícem

    ...or it's not Warren & it's not Harris but a combination of the two that enables the Steelers to change up running plays that makes the whole thing work..., not to mention a competent OC, an O-line not made of your cheaper & wholly cheese's, & a QB who can throw the ball beyond 10-15 yds. to keep the opposing D honest by keeping the extra defender outta the box on 1st & 2nd downs. Either way I hope Harris gets an opportunity to show what he can do on a team that actually values his services & knows how to use him whether that's the Steelers or somebody else.
    Since he was drafted, to claim Harris has been the weak link in this system..., is objectivly false.

    Naj will stay if he can ball out this year. They’re playing it smart bc Arthur Smith likes outside zone run. Naj isn’t very good around the edges just bc of speed. So it’s hard to commit to a guy that doesn’t fit the new direction. If Naj can really go out ball this year they’ll be happy to pay him. HOWEVER we have to admit that Warren might be what the Steelers have needed bc if it were just Naj we might not be in the place we want. I luv Naj and that’s my favorite player on the team but I get it.

I’ve been a Pittsburgh Steeler fan for over 40 years and I must say Mike Tomlin is the worst coach Pittsburgh has ever had. I’ve never seen this type of disrespect of players from any coach we have never had, this is literally absurd. And if the report is true about Justin Fields being ask to return punts or kicks, he should ask for a trade as well. I’m so glad this is his last year, I don’t know what to do.

    Najee Harris cannot see the field. I don't want to hear about the offensive line, the play calling or anything else until you actually watch the tape and look at his decision-making. He pauses when he should hit the hole, he runs towards a defender on the right when there is a gap on the left, tries to cut it back when he could clearly make the corner, tries to make the corner when he should clearly cut it back, etcetera etcetera etcetera. He has all the physical tools, he just cannot see the field and anticipate the flow of the play and that is why his average yard per carry is lower than the NFL average, when his back up, and undrafted free agent, is over a yard higher than the league average. Almost a yard and a half higher than najee. Warren gets everything there is to get out of a play and Najee runs into the first person he sees. It happens over and over and over, it is all on film
