Speaking of RAS, I know a lot of people had Frazier as the 3rd center due to the high RAS of the other two. But you have to remember, while the other two were training for the 40’and practicing the 3 cone, Frazier was recovering from a broken leg. Maybe he’s not as “athletic” as the other two, but maybe the difference isn’t as big as people thought. Also, as far as athleticism goes, I think his attributes from wrestling may be more important than his ability to run and jump.
Keanu Benton wasn’t in the highest group of DTs either but his wrestling background sure showed up
Definitely agree it's you about the wrestling background. Exceptional body control and good feeling for momentum. I think he is going to be the best of all 3 centers. Not just biased but wrestling background will play HUGE into his blocks.
No Diddy on that beautiful body part 😂😂😂
85% separation rate vs man for Roman… highest in the draft. Only thing he needs to work on is actually being on the outside but i think it’s no question he’s capable day 1
in motion, against a safety or LB, in the slot lol
@@aaroncalderon6928 they would’ve been covering Loveland and barner. It woulda been a “SLOT corner” or Nickel corner on Roman. It would be 100% separation rate if teams were putting linebackers and safeties on him.
Idk if Payton will be a starter right away but he will definitely be in the rotation
Had me rollin' on that "body" description, Matt!
The best part about Frazier is his IQ. The coaches at WVU had their pass protection and run reads through Zach Frazier and not their QB. They led all Power 5 schools in rushing and Frazier had the responsibility to read the dline and change the assignments of the oline. To me, thats more valuable than any physical traits.
I thought you and Dale made a great point that almost every draft choice had significant playing time. I've come around to the idea that that is a major component in selection these days, especially if the players chosen are seen to be single contract duration for both salary cap and performance expectations -Injury histories can make this a more viable policy.
I love Beanie Bishop as a UDFA. I could genuinely see him getting playing time at slot
6:30 aaaaaayyyyyooooooo
I watched a good bit of film on Frazier. He pancakes defenders to the ground. Explosive off the ball. I think he’s going to be very good in a short amount of time
6:30-6:36 Chill Matt 😂
Pittsburgh: "Can you snap the ball to the quarterback properly 80% of the time?"
👍👍
Matt, Michelob ULTRA……. SUCKS!!! 😂
Why is Frazier better than Kendrick Green? Draft profile was generally worse.
Cuz he actually can play the center position...
For one thing, Green was a projection at center, while Frazier actually played center at a high level his entire college career.
Green was never a center
Stronger, smarter and more experienced.
FAH-EW-TAH-NEW.
We’re missing that extra syllable in there lol
