Dang. Makes the MQD waiver with $25K spend on the Platinum or Reserve CC that much better. IMO - airline loyalty programs are geared specifically for business travelers. It doesn't make sense to chase it with money out of your own pocket. No way to compete with the biz traveler whose company is picking up the tab. I do like Delta but when it comes to airlines - I'll stay a Free Agent. Thanks for the info + video and good luck on getting Gold Status!🍀

Great video! I too live in ATL and travel leisurely. My current status is silver. I went out the country four times this year on top of regular travel and still fell 4034 miles from Gold status. So frustrating, however, I am about to fly to Seattle Friday to obtain those miles to see what Gold status is like. Do you think it's worth it or should I stay in my current status? Thanks!

Why does it take so long to get your cards. We are suppose to be diamond and we still have gold.
It’s crazy but as a Diamond/360 it’s pretty easy to hit these thresholds when you’re flying first/business 2-3 times a week. I hit the Diamond mark at the 2/3 month mark with no problems but as a leisure traveler it will make it a lot tougher to achieve any relevant status.
What’s your career that allows you to travel first/business 2-3 times a week?

I got Silver on my own during 2021 and 2022 and that was a lot of work. Now I just lost it as I was like 100 miles short. 😢 It's very tough to feel like I am starting over. I think they should keep Silver entry point reasonable still. I get making it more exclusive up top but still important to reward those of us on our own.
