    The CTS is dead. Long live the CT5. In the alphabet soup that is the compact luxury sedan market, Cadillac has chosen yet another alphanumeric name for its BMW 3 Series competitor. Does the 2020 Cadillac CT5 have the goods to take on the world's best, or will this car go the way of the CTS?

    I thought that the CT5 was the midsize sedan & the CT4 was the compact sedan 🧐🤨🤔

    • @Galicia322
      @Galicia322 Před měsícem

      It is technically, but most midsized sedans nowadays are getting bigger. So in comparison this feels small

    The ct5 is the same size as a 5series and e-class. Do your research! Its It's your job😬🍻

    I'd take it. Other reviewers seem have pretty good things to say about the interior, and everyone seems to agree on the performance, and pricing is competitive. Compared to the competition, even the Genesis, I think this is a winner.
    Although knowing me I don't think the premium luxury trim is the one I'd go for...just don't like the look of those wheels 🤔

    For some reason this is the first Caddy that I feel like they nailed the "we want to compete with Germany" target - nice job guys

  • @reallyfijateperocomocono1131

    I wasn’t a Cadillac fan but now owning a CT5 Sport. I’m in love two tone leather all the bells and whistles I don’t regret it and just about to pay it off, and with gm rewards never had to pay for an oil change. And I have the 2020 model with massage seats that aren’t great but do the job.

    Fully agree with the interior remarks. The Hyundai Sonata has a more desirable interior in my eyes. The upcoming G70 refresh really impresses as well. I also prefer the CTS exterior to the CT5 but diehard GM loyalist won't care. I don't think this offering does anything new. I'm happy CUE is gone/fixed, but that's a low bar. $57k for that interior is disappointing. I know the 2021 update brings a digital cluster and Super cruise on top trims, but that will just mean you have to pay even more for that interior.

    Do you have a CT5-V review ? I'm stuck between getting the CT5-V and the Type S. Which one would you recommend ?

    To think this CT5 is the biggest Caddy soon is just sad. Why would they stop making CT6 and sell two smallish sedans CT4 and CT5. It just doesn’t make sense.

    Great review. You want to sit in an impressive interior? Try a late model Caddy XTS VSport Platinum. It's superior to all other Caddy interiors, including the CT6. I feel Caddy really put in a no cost effort to it. Incredible materials, fantastic design, and very cool lighting. Plus full controls for rear seat passengers and 410 HP 3.6 liter.

    I've owned every generation CTS, loved them all and they were great cars with few problems. This CT5 is a major downgrade from CTS styling inside and out. The interior of the CT5 isn't even best in class compared to many average cars. When compared to luxury cars the CT5 interior and technology options just can't keep up. After 25 years of Cadillac ownership I'm afraid that when my current CTS is ready to be traded in it won't be for another Cadillac.

  • @jenniferbrownanderson1458

    For the exterior Cadillac did marvelously well, the front view is more aggressive and beautiful, but looking at the price and the interior , I think I will buy a 2019 E300 Mercedes-Benz or a used 2018/19 Range Rover Velar with low miles.👍👍

    Have to agree w the lack of quality of the interior. It looks cheap and almost like it came from a chevy. It does the job but for the price point you want it to feel luxurious cause you spend so much time inside. Exterior is beautiful though

  • @ohroonoko

    Can’t seriously say Hyundai and Acura have better interiors, those are atrocious designs. The Lincoln and Genesis are clearly superior.

    • @NileshR12

      Hyundai has interesting interiors for the mainstream segment. Acura has stepped up their game with the RDX, 2021 TLX, and 2022 MDX.

      The inside of that Caddy looks like a base rental cars interior. Nothing is luxury about it. At least Hyundai tries, GM just gave up

    At 8:01 is reported that car has 12 cubic feet or 339 liters of trunk or boot space. This is the typical FAKE GOURMET sedan, the one that comes ready to be swallowed by an SUV. In the ranking of decent sedans (TOP 500 SEDANS) with a trunk capacity above 500 liters or 17.6 cubic feet it does not enter. The trunk of this car is smaller than the trunk of the Renault Megane, a HATCHBACK sold in Australia which has a trunk of 434 liters or 15.3 cubic feet of capacity. In other words, it is a shame for a Cadillac (GM luxury brand) to have such a small trunk. Thanks Clifford this time you did it right.

    • @trumpisastump9382
      @trumpisastump9382 Před 3 lety

      You seem awfully obsessed with the trunk size!

    • @avaliacarros7739
      @avaliacarros7739 Před 3 lety

      @@trumpisastump9382 Very simple to understand. The Toyota Corolla, the best-selling car in the world for over 10 years and the best-selling medium sedan in Brazil, has a trunk with a capacity of 470 liters. The best-selling sedan in Brazil, Chevrolet Onix, on the other hand, has a trunk with a capacity of 1 liter smaller, 469 liters. Sedans with less trunk capacity than these two are doomed to fail, at least in Brazil, are considered SEDAN FAKE GOURMET, those who are born ready to be swallowed by an SUV.

    This guy has so many nit picks about the interior with its buttons, knobs etc....old school look is returning to cars as people are sick and tired of screens that will most likely fail within a few years. Have the CT5 2023 - fantastic Caddy for the price point.

    Typical. yet another hack reviewer who thinks all Cadillac interiors are just overdressed Chevys. well, BMW interiors are only great when you start spending money on options. If not, then most of their interiors feel like sitting in an economy car

    Dear
    followers!! Don't let the beautiful pictures confuse you . Anyone who
    buys a new car from GENERAL Motors the chance you threw your money into
    the trash is very large. In this company there is no customer service,
    the company's management does not care at all, if you have a problem or a
    malfunction, you can only pray to God there is a chance that the help
    will come faster. GM is a very dangerous company, be careful and keep
    your money safe.!!!Share so more people don't get screwed.

    This is the most Chevy looking Cadillac ever! Cadillac has to do better than this! Maybe if GM called it a Chevy Impala then I would consider buying...for my wife😜👎
