Hi. Well. I didn't make any wedding yet, but because i only have the r10 I will go to weddings with this camera.
For you? If you have budget, go for the R7.
I think a wedding is a big step. And you should be prepared well. You should know everything about the camera and the settings. Also the lens you choose. Sigma as good as the canon lens. But only a 18-35 for a wedding? I think you would need 1 more lens with a little bit bigger focal lenght. Minimum a 24-70 and a 70-200.
I only have the Weebill S and i know it is good for my heavy setup. And that's all i know about gimbals right now.

You have to watch several videos here in youtube about the R10 for example. What you can do with it. What features it has. And decide whether is good for you to shoot a whole wedding or not.
I’ve just got the Hohem MT2 and I use it with rf-s 18-150 kit lens. I'm very pleased with it.
