What are your best tips for filming outside mid-day?
If this is a real commercial shoot ... this girl killed it ...
It was!
Stunning image ,canon is canon, her hair glowing fr
Right!!
And this is why I love my C70.
You just said something very important, you don't really need cine lenses to get quality visuals. Are they needed for very specific projects? Yes, but you can still have amazing results with any lens you have specially if you know how to use your camera.
Keep it up brother!
100%! Appreciate it bro!!
please teach us how to expose correctly on the c70
Yep, highlight roll off on C70 is unmatched for a cini camera in this price range.
No doubt!
Loved your tips! I know for me, I prefer a single net over diffusion, then I use diffusion as a bounce; isn’t quite as sourcy and I find it just fills the face more, as opposed to keying. And if you need more, you can just add a light.
I definitely agree with you on the polarizer. I use it to save any blown out highlights.
Can you load custom LUT’s into the C70?
Nice! Yeah that’s a cool option too! I’ll have to try that sometime. You can load them in!
Damn the Footage looks so good.. Thinking at the moment about the FX3 or the C70 but this Video pushed me a bit more in the direction of the C70. I am using at the moment the normal A7III but I think it's time for an upgrade. Thanks for this nice Video+ Tutorial
The C70 definitely has more dynamic range and a more “film/hollywood” look compared to the FX3. Both are great though!
Appreciate it!
Thanks brother your tutorials always helps
Happy to help!!
ND filters also. A must for high noon shoots IMO
Yeah that was kinda a given haha the C70 has them built in
@@BrockRoberts oh 😂 goes to show how much I know about videography and cinema cameras lol my bad
@@CAMphotography_ all good!! Haha
Cheers so much great tips that I will definitely use 😊
I believe it also comes down to knowing how to adjust other camera settings as well ❤
No doubt!!
Those colors, skin tones… 😮
Thanks!!
New fan and subscribed around ❤️
@@elizeusantos93 thanks!!
The footage is sooo good!
Thanks!!
Mann, those colors 👌
Thanks bro!!
So 12 bit is gold hey?
Nice!
Thanks!!
Hey Brock what are the best settings for uploading to Instagram from adobe premiere to have the best looking video possible?
Shot in & edit in 4K then export as 1080p.
Where I can see final product? The commercial?
Can’t share yet unfortunately.
The raw on here look sooo goood…
Thanks!! It def does.
How nice that you are so happy with the footage and colours, it looks really great!
I am a beginner in video (i am a photographer for 15 years). Now i have the Canon R6 mkII for filming and i love it (4k60 10bit.)
Since a few days i expose with false color (love that the r6 mkII has it!) , how do you expose?
greetings from Holland, Mike
I tend to use the histogram and expose slightly to the right!
A M A Z I N G Brock! As usual!!!
Do you think I could get a similar look with my R5, shooting in Clog3? I mean, I know it won't look as good as Clog2, but could it be done?
Thanks!! You def can. As long as you nail exposure you should get a similar look!
@@BrockRoberts I have actually done in harsh midday but without any diffusion hahahaha just exposed a little more to the right and then lowered in post, and results were pretty awesome! I’m definitely gonna get your luts BTW
@@Francisfphoto_ nice! Yeah it can be done! lol nice! Thanks!
@@BrockRobertsOh BTW, I’m also in the C70 Facebook group as you are hahahaah!
I really wish Canon makes a “FX3” small body, clog2, and low MP! Would be insane, I’ll get it in a heart beat.
@@Francisfphoto_ nice!! I’d love a camera like that too lol
lol hear what you are talking about but we need them luts for sony my guy. omg they look so goooooodddd!
Haha thanks!! unfortunately don’t have any Sony cameras to make them with.
Yo great video. You kept saying diffusion.. were you using the diffuser as a bounce or shooting the sun through the diffuser?
Thanks
Because the sun was so hot, we shot the sun through it!
What is your resolution for the canon c70 settings
Is it always 2840x1080 or 3840?
3840x2160 is what I used here!
great video! What's your thoughts on the r5c? Ever tried it?
I haven’t actually. I’ve seen footage and it looks great. I still think I prefer the softer & more filmic look from the C70 but both have their place for sure!
Yea, I have the r5c, it's very good. But I agree in some cases it's a little too sharp haha. I love the film look of the c70 myself, but I ended up with the r5c because of its hybrid capabilities. Might get a C70 later down the line tho. Do you shoot in RAW or do you stick to XFAVC? @@BrockRoberts
Image quality is always good from these cameras when exposed right
For sure. Exposure is HUGE.
How to shhot in direct sunlight? Dont shoot in direct sunlight , go under a port. Thats how we shot under direct sunlight😂😂
Definitely shot in direct sunlight with diffusion lol
