    I am not Muslim, but the thought of someone ripping off someone's head scarf is akin to assault. It is a violation of your privacy. I would be livid if I saw someone do that, and would rush to cover the woman's hair. That is so upsetting.

    • @ilmareofthemaiar

      It IS assault

      @vgvlogs4182 Před 2 lety +3

      For a muslim woman, the feeling of having her headscarf ripped of is like having your shirt torn off. It is assault! Just like there are women in the world that being completelly topless is normal, but it is not theirs to say that women that wears a top should be naked as well. It is a basic human right to choose how much one covers themselfs.

      Absolutely is assault, used to happen to black girls us all the time, being that many black women wrap their hairs just because of cultural styles and that boundary is not always respected.

    I'm a Christian raised in an apostolic church, and we also cover our heads in church. We cover knees, elbows, and makeup isn't allowed. It was a very strict upbringing, but I believe it was all for good. I'm always asked why I cover my head in the sanctuary. I show honor and reverence to God especially in prayer. I'm glad my mother and our Pastor were great influences on decency and how to behave as a woman of God. Amen 🙏❤😊

    Alhamdulillah for Allah bringing you back to the straight path 💜 it's not always easy being a Muslimah. It's been almost 2 years for me and I was a "part- time" hijabi for a good portion of that, which made wearing hijab feel like a struggle bc I was uncovered daily like at work then I'd cover to go out elsewhere. Then this past Ramadan I made the choice to wear hijab at work so that made me "full-time" and I'm so glad Allah made me firm upon that so now I don't even think about going out uncovered. And more than my hair, my body. I value my beauty much more now than I did before as a sexual object 😩 insha Allah I never feel the need or desire to go back to that.

    MashaAllah. I'm so happy CZcams recommended me this channel. I've never commented before, but I would like to thank you for sharing your story. I'm currently going through a similar thing in college at the moment, and what you said about your clothes getting tight, neckline getting lower, and (in my case) hijab turning into a turban really resonated with me. Especially as someone who just hit my 20s and thinking about my future and marriage, it's this fear that I'm missing out or less attractive when surrounded by women who are not dressed the same way as me. I'm going to save this video as a continual reminder. Thank you so much!

    • @TheXs.Official
      @TheXs.Official  Před 2 lety +1

      Awww my sweet sister 💖 so much love for you. 🥺❤️ I wish I could give you a squeezy cuddle for I felt this so deeply in college too. It's really brave and honest of you to recognise those things within yourself and share them back with me. I hear you and I feel you. It's the trick of the devil when we slowly change things in ourselves that don't make us feel closer to Allah SWT for something that doesn't feel wrong at the time. It feels innocent, like simply wanting to feel more beautiful as a woman. Then we look back and don't understand what we compromised it for. What's the trade? Nothing feels worth it, especially when we realise that we never needed to trade those things to begin with. Those surroundings and the whispers of Shaytaan can mess with our heads a bit and make us think we're not desirable without compromising what we feel our hijab is, but it's not true sis! 💖 In college, most guys aren't ready for or looking for marriage. They're (mostly) looking to objectify and explore sexualising the opposite gender and that's why sometimes hijab isn't the guy-magnet, NOT because you're not beautiful in your hijab, but because you are covered and off limits for empty objectification and vapid sexualisation. I didn't appreciate the protection and empowerment of that at the time. In the next few years I promise you'll see how it flips 180° though. You'll see how your covered beauty and hijab is admired and desired by the men you meet. Above all that, you'll feel so proud of yourself for seeking the pleasure of The Creator over the pleasure of the creation. May Allah SWT make it easy for you and grant you the best, sweetest and hottest of spouses who treats you like the queen you are. 😂🥰🤲❤️ Here for you and with you always. X

And although not all Christians practice it anymore, it's still something that we are supposed to do! If someone was to violate my liberty to do that I would be hurt and feel violated too. I actually support hijab ban. Id enough and sick dealing with my stress and depression like everyday. Like im not a Muslim because i dont wear hijab? Or my imaan so low that make me to go out without my hijab. Wear shorts and hoodie. Sometimes, hijab with baju kurung. And baju kurung look thight little bit and this really make my own community turn to a psychopath. They just dont like it. Even got bash when a woman share a picture about makeup on FB. And i saw a comment where a niqabi got instult by a man.
      "The purpose of niqab is to not show yourslef to others. If you upload a video of yourself on YT, then whats the point of wearing niqab, you idiot?"
      And its stupid when some idiot on social media said "Ma Sha Allah, she wear hijab for Allah, but when wear shorts, Astagfirullah, she wear it for men or to atrracts some men"
      And this really make me want to support hijab ban in non muslim country. When India make some law about hijab, i can see Muslim in my country fel so mad, and it still dnt make me fel satisfi. I need more than that.
      I mean, we in our own community ha our own "beauty standard" which we need to "limit" our beauty for others.

I started wearing my scarf at the age of 9 and I am 33 now and honest to God I didn't feel comfortable and love it till about 7 years ago...it takes time. It's not easy being a muslim in the world today and just being modest in general subhanAllah. Alhamdillah for our Deen.

Also, Sis I'm so glad you've spoken about your experience Inshallah it can help a lot of sisters out there who are struggling due to societal pressures.
    One beautiful thing that struck out to me about your union is that the fact that in the how we met video Sufyan Akhi found you to be the most beautiful girl he has ever seen without the need to see your hair and an exposure of beauty. Allah grants us what is good for us and that point just stuck out at me. Allahumma barik. So glad Allah put you both in my path ❤

    Based on what has been explained about the Hijab not entirely meaning just a head scarf, but more that relates to purposeful living of a modest life in and out (to my best knowledge)
    Could it then mean that non-muslims who enjoy living modest lives in, and out could wear it too?

    • @TheXs.Official
      @TheXs.Official  Před 2 lety +6

      Great question. Although the hijab is not exclusively the headscarf, it must also include the headscarf to fall under the category of hijab. There would be no problem with a non Muslim wearing hijab but “modest” clothes in general would not be defined as hijab without the head scarf etc.
      Hope that makes sense ☺️

    Another beautiful and important video that brought tears to my eyes. Thank you so much for sharing with us, thank you for your vulnerability. It’s is very true how there is the double standard.. why is it ok for certain women to wear those scarves on their head as a fashion statement or for whatever reason but when a Muslim women wears hijab to protect herself, honor her God, etc, it’s suddenly a bad thing? Why is it wrong to not want to show your body off? This world is crazy.
    I have a question: would it be disrespectful for a non-Muslim woman to wear hijab? I ask because for years, I have wanted to cover up more and protect myself this way as well but I am not Muslim. Advice?

      Hi 💖 thank you so much for your words. I'm happy the video resonated with you & that you enjoyed it. 🥰 I don't think that's disrespect at all. I think people can wear whatever they want and it's only for themselves to decide. Muslim women tend to love when they see others in hijab! 😂 X

    5:04 THIS, this is why i'm an apostate. After all those years i understood finally that when i was in a mix culture (that wasn't all the time related to religion or "MY" religion at the time, i was free) and it's where i finally look around me and saw that most religious people do not do it "vertically" ( for a higher "purpose " or their god(s) ) but do it "horizontally" for the people around them, becuse of the look of the familly or friends, the critics etc. Just to avoid it and "be" like everyone else around.
    Just my experience obviously but i feel much free now that i stop believing and more focus on myself, the present moment and the "humanity" part of ourselves.
    Thanks for sharing your story both of you ^^
