Taxi part is at 07:35. I was going for a chill lap, lots of accidents and yellows. I was being careful with the tow truck that I had spotted in the distance. Signaled but the Taxi gave 0 cars for being a good sport. This guys are supposed to be professionals, they have to deliver a good experience but also be zealous for everyone's safety (inc. their passengers). Loosing the rear on purpose right in front of other cars is the cherry on top... I calmed myself down and just gave some distance.
Did you say anything to them in the car park about the incident?

You indicating to the right and suddenly to the left. The taxi comes doesn't see you until he passes the bmw. So he comes with a lot of speed from and blind corner. You should have stayed on the right and wait until it's 100 % clear. It wasn't 100 % clear and you didn't have a lot of speed. It's your fault and not the fault of the taxi driver. Also letting your anger out after it isn't necessary! The passenger having fun for sure in the hyundai. Take it easy and stay safe!
Yeah he got very worked up and emotional, you can tell by his facial expressions, he was not enjoying his drive in the Nurburgring anymore, when you drive looking for "wars" with other drivers, you are giving them what they want and all of the joy of driving is gone, this way is very immature, he reminds me about myself when I was insecure and had the need to pass anyone, sometimes for no reason, now I am changing that and when I see people like him and how sad they look, gives me even more motivation to change even more. Just pathetic behavior, he nearly loses control a few times just to get close to the Hyundai.

I drive the hatchback version and the car never feels nervous during those maneuvers; just a bit of counter steering and a little more throttle and it smoothly pulls straight again.
Well you were indicating right and then suddenly left when 3 cars at high speed are coming and the taxi don't have the same visibility than you at that moment. I think it's just something that happen sometimes. Never forget it's a track and you have all your life to do another lap but never put your frustration on the track :) Take it easy man and enjoy your best life with the Yaris :D Cheers and nice video btw !
Thank you! The cars were not that together, the Porsche was driving much quicker than anyone else. I was not at the tow truck pace, if you noticed I had to brake quite hard to stay behind. This was also all happening into the breaking area of the upcoming turn.
It is the same as in normal traffic. You cannot force position on upcoming cars
I was sitting in the ringtaxi on that moment. Mark is an very expierence driver. We had a lot of fun, hè was talking to me and driving fast. It feels safe en loved the expierence.
It's yout fold... you indicate right... 3 cars went to overtake on the left side and accel... wait until they pass you and go on. No need to go between them while they passing and accel

Sorry, you were in the wrong, you had indicated right and slowed down considerably. For the cars behind you to let you in, they would have to slow down unnecessarily.
It was right before a turn. They had to slow down either way. But allas 🖖 I wasn't the one going sideways and blocking the road and overtaking right before the yellow.
@GreatMotors: I looked the part with the Taxi a several times. Because i drive there too since 2008 i recognize the situation a little bit.
I don't have the most powerfull car and sometimes i have to drive at the right to let pass the faster cars/drivers and then get stucked behind a slower car/driver as me.
The only thing i can do is wait to go to the left till the road behind me is clear. 🤣
I totally understand and respect you wanted to be gently to the Porsche driver, but maybe it had been better you blinked to the left and kept speed as soon you saw the tow truck.
But you decided in a split second to go to the right.
At the time you decided to go to the left, the speed difference of you and the Hyundai taxi was to big. Your speed was about 100km/u and the taxi at least 160km/u.
Also the taxi driver had to decide in a split second to pass you or do a full brake test with the risk the blue BMW behind him would hit him in the back.
I know the driver who is almost always driving the i30N Fastback Taxi and i also had a taxi lap in the Hyundai Taxi. Nice fellow, make a talk with him next time and/or take a lap in the Taxi.😉

Try a little bit to relax behind the wheel and enjoy the complete experience. And keep both hands on the steering wheel, even at 70km/u in the yellow zone in Bergwerk.
If there is oil or coolant on the track you will soon slide or be in a 180degrees turn.

Thanks for the kind words ✌️! I usually try to be nice for those behind and I am quite mindful of the tow trucks since last years fatal accident. My learning from this was just to stay on the left next time.
@@GreatMotors It is not always easy to make the right decision at those speeds.
Sometimes i'am to kind for faster drivers and get stucked like you, but than I go on the line again when the road is free again and enjoy the rest of the lap and the next laps.
Last few years I didn't drive many laps but the 8 years before I had a yearticket and I drove at least 200 laps in a year or more.
With a yearticket it drives more relaxt is my opinion.
I'am lucky I "only" live 300km from the Nürburgring.
People who live far away and only come 1 weekend in a year often want to have every lap fast and perfect without yellow flags and traffic.
It is not a race, enjoy the laps and don't fixate on lap times.
The lap records in the magazines are driven by professional drivers on a closed Nürburgring.

The N cars behave like that at the corners entries, much like a FWD touring car.
You did signal to the right, and you kept to the right, so expect to be overtaken.
They did overspeed at the scene though.
you called this incident wrong, your actions were not clear and you erractically pulled out as opposed to waiting. taking it back to the start, viewing this didn't seem like a chill lap, you were already giving eyes to the audi driver and showing your frustration. after the taxi incident, you then flipped into ego mode and chased the car down only to drive too close and too aggressively. anything but chill. definitely dangerous and not warranted.
you're a good driver but balance the ego, it's a shared track and not only your space.

I don't understand, you check your left mirror, see the guy approaching fast and still decide to get in his way. The dangerous driving here comes from you, and only you. You really have no sense of self awareness. So childish. Then you go and act aggressive, try to race him, get really close in an aggressive manner. Just keep blaming everyone else, don't even think about your actions, why would you? The fact that you did all this and then even made a video and didn't even think for one moment that you might be in the wrong here during the whole process is a big sign of immaturity.
Also his silly clapping at the start of each video like if he was about to go into the most serious race of his life tells clear signs on how immature this guy is. Yeah he tried to cut off a guy coming VERY fast, could have end up terrible for both of them if he continued, he also nearly lost control like 2 times after that due to how mad he was, just wow. If you want to see a smooth, very fast and nice Nurburgring driver, try xthilox, he has amazing videos.
@@snchez2106 Try Captain Gaskrank, his Yaris just set 7:33 and will be 7:2X next year. Not bad for a little three cylinder that everyone loves to hate.

Your intentions were good but by the time you blinked back to the left the taxi is already very close. Split second decisions are not always the best. He has to deliver a service and the lap was already spoiled with yellows. Take 3 deep breaths a let it go:); stay safe!
Yeah fair enough. But as professionals I believe they should drive with more awareness than other. Same thing on overtaking the M4 with the yellow in sight at the end of the video, just unnecessary.

Going to the right is an invitation to pass so a car coming up fast behind will assume you are going to stay there while he passes. It's not a race so the faster cars should always be let by, that's how the system seems to work best for everybody.
You were slowing down because you saw the truck then you did signal right which means overtake me. Taxi drivers are usually racing drivers and they are never even close to the limit, so what looks questionable to you still is under full control for them.

I am going to say did not see how many times he had to let of the gas on the exits so by the time he goes into that corner where the i30n staying to pull away the gr lines was and speed was compromised although he indcated for more than 2 turns because in the section the gr was faster
You are absolutely delusional if you think that's anyone's fault but your own. You were literally trying to barge into a running lane of traffic that was going probably 1.5-2x the speed you were and got angry because it was not possible to do it. You went from signalling right "I am staying over here" to signalling left "let me in here" and trying to get in straight away. Crazy behaviour. If you'd wanted to pass the truck, you should have committed to passing it, or decided to stay behind until the traffic passed. Basic!
Or if everyone didn't look only to their belly button, they could have seen the situation miles ahead no? For example I took the turn much slower than I usually would since I saw the truck there from way back... But I learned my lesson. Next time I just stay left, instead of allowing the 500hp Porsche by, and block everyone. Who gives a f**** 🤷♂️

Hi man love your videos! Why are you running 225 instead of 235? And I’ve also got the Autec Wizard, great lightweight rims.
The wheels either take 225 40 or 245 35. 235 40 would bring a bit more meat to the game but would have maybe a tad bit too much sidewall and tire availability is less than stellar. 225 vs 245 is like 1/2 the price. I go through 2-3 sets of tires in a season, I am not willing to shell out the extra $
@@GreatMotors yeah, 225 is much cheaper than 245, I have autec wizard 8x18 et35 so 245 would rub in the wheel house thats why I’m running 235 40, 225 looked too stretched and the difference in grip is noticeable plus 235 40 has a lot of great choices for tires but you are right that I have a bit more sidewall than a 225 40, but not that much more. Thanks for the response! Keep up the hard work in the track!

That‘s sadly true. I30n driver was showing up a little with FF drift for the passengers and then after Brünchen he was just appeared. I was vary impressed how fast he was!

There's no shame to being put in a position to chase by an i30n. It's more suited to this kind of use anyway. If Toyota put as much effort into chassis development with the gr yaris as hyundai did with the i30n or especially the i20n then you'd have then a faster lap would be set.

He has multiple cameras. You do that so you can sync up the videos on audio cues.
But you indicated Right, suddenly left indicator on. But it was too late. So in this Situation you have to let the Hyundai pass. Its Easy German Traffic law (StVO).
Maybe it was Not nessacary to let the Cars overtaking, But you did. So stay Right and everything is okay. Its not a Race out there at Touristenfahrten. Its just Public driving. You will get another Lap. Thats it
The Porsche was considerably faster than anyone else. I wanted to avoid blocking them into the turn, while there was a tow truck in the middle of all of it. Exactly because there is always another lap, and seeing the whole situation from the back, I really don't understand why you would not allow others some space. It's not about the StVO, it's about being a gentlemen. I did stay on the right. But honestly lesson learned, next time I will just stay left.

Bro if I wanted to go for fast laps do you think I would have tucked in behind the truck to let the GT3 pass ? Regardless I will never do it again since I learned that other drivers are not looking so much ahead and predicting what situations can come.

You're driving like the thing is way faster than it is. It makes cool noises sure but pulling over, slowing, and trying to merge into the line again after fumbling your directional stalk just wasn't possible w/ your attitude or the car. Should have committed sooner instead of thinking about it. Or not put your directional on around a blind corner. Or just stopped and slowed behind the truck.
