you absolutely nailed this review. Head lynx is my favorite poly due to the comfort, power and spin. I agree with the tension drop. I played with the different colors now a few times. The yellow one has better tension maintenance but also is more lively. To combat the tension drop I tend to string it alot higher than other strings. For example I string razor code at 48 lbs, in the same racket I string head lynx at 53-55 lbs.
It is known on most of the internet that the Black version loses tension fast and that the light colours keep tension for longer… great string but can feel a little springy. It notches pretty fast but is playable while notched
always been one of my favorite round polys. I find the color to make a difference, I prefer the green as the black seemed to drop tension faster as you saw.
Its a great string that feels comfortable and lets you play however you want. I tried it recently and found that it was great for about 5 hours of hitting before the tension loss started showing up. Drop shots and finesse volleys are great with this string.
Finally I found a polyster with good comfort and spin. Previously played with rpm blast but was way too stiff and had so much wrist pain, then went on with tour bite soft that was really good but not available on local vendor so head lynx is the perfect match
Your findings were spot on with the tension drop and durability, same reason I didn’t like Hawk Power. The lighter colors do tend to play more lively as well vs the anthracite.
Yes, my experience as well... But the other thing Mark forgot to mention that's great is the price point. Really good value especially in a reel.
The intro is best of all times
How is working with the slices from the baseline? Is something I like a lot from the RPM blast
Hey Mark! Curious on your thoughts on Razor Soft!
Hey Mark, is the DR 98 your actual goto frame?
You prefer it to lynx tour ?
Interested to hear an option on RPM Team - no real reviews on it but by all accounts just a more comfortable RPM blast that holds tension much better
I second this, stiffer in labs but more comfortable and def holds tension twice as much as blast.
Rpm team allows me to not over pay on “Restring Zero” & lasts forever in a tight 16x20 (my pure control)
Had it in an open 16x19 (VCP h) and was not that great tbh
Works really well in a hybrid too (has it on mains & multis on cross) gave a beautiful feel and some spin lol
Can you compare lynx with topspin CF?
Can you compare lynx with Yone Poly Tour Pro?
Dunlop Black Widow, please, including your experiences with stringing this string.
which is better Lynx or Lynx tour ?
You could review some pros pro strings
Second! But yeah, sticking to the PTP. Curious about the Tecnifibre Razor Soft, though.
what is the difference from this lynx for lynx team?
Do a ranking of head strings please
Would you hybrid Lynx with Heald MLT multi on crosses for more confort ? Thank you
Yeah that would be a really soft set up for a hybrid
Mark Sansait, can you do a collab with ChangBang, I want to see what is the difference skills level. Just rallying is enough to see the two unique type of skills you two have.
Using a solinco tour bite atm, 52lbs in a Blade 98.. quite like it
Tried Tour Bite last week for the first time at 51 lbs in my Vcore and woof it absolutely destroyed my arm and hand. Has great spin but never playing with that again. Wish I could but nope
@@nickh9791 really! I actually find it quite buttery for a poly, perhaps the blade is softer frame and absorbs it better.
What did really hurt my elbow is the rpm team in my pure aero team, combination of stiff light racket and stiff poly… which is why I’m back to the 305g blade now.
What have you done with Bear?!
Lynx round is my go to poly but I don't want to restring as often as it needs. I'm back to multifilament
Which are your "go to" multifilament?
@@vakula485 only really tried velocity MLT but I'm happy with it
Thé black one loses tension very quickly. As ptp thé yellow is better
If the tension maintenance worse than Yonex Poly Tour Pro?
Ptp loses too much, even after stringing its too much!
What happend to streams
Great name Mark SanSait
San in japan is Dear/Honorable and Saite in german is string. Mark means warlike/fighter
So Honorable String. In reverse: String Honorable Fighter
What's the difference between shaped and round poly strings in terms of playability ?
Spin
@@mattysancho8988 Why do round polys even exist then? I am assuming everyone would prefer to have extra spin from their strings. Is there a con too or something that round polys do better?
Price. Shaped polys are more expensive and do not bring anything substantially significant to the game. Gauge is more important than shape !
@@sanchicool game styles. Those that need or want extra spin can achieve it with shaped strings. Those that don't, like those that play a flatter style, can use round strings to fit their game better.
Not every player is the same, not every technique or game styles are the same. So not every string is the same.
@@sanchicoolround strings tend to offer better control, predictability, and consistency. shaped strings, although being good for spin, can have a less predictable launch.
How many Ezone DRs do you have?
only 3 :(
@@MarkSansait They are hard to come by. Good choice though. How would you compare the DR to the current model?
Tecnifibre Razor SOFT.
Hybrid Msv hex SOFT mains...lynx cross 👌
