Essential Tennis plugged your channel today and I’m glad to find your useful content.
Im glad you found me, my friend!
I am here today because of the same reason :D, and I am glad that you released this ISOSPEED Baseline Control information upon us :)
Isospeed Baseline Control is out today :)
This is great content Mark, pure gold. I love the string as well, but too bad that I break it every few hours of play. Looking forward to your next review of the alternative to the RPM. Subscribed! Cheers!
Thanks so much!
🙏🙏🙏
Mark- loved your opening gambit. Really enjoying your review videos
🤟😍
Great video, Mark.
I couldn't agree more with what you said about the comfort and "roundness" feel of the string - I don't think it's easy to spot the rough texture without taking a closer look.
I find really interesting, considering its characteristics (low power response, somewhat of a deader feel), the level of comfort that rpm blast provides. Also, in my experience, this string could be strung at lower tensions than the usual poly, without sacrificing its control oriented characteristics (for exemple, while I enjoy playing with YPTP at 54-55 lbs, with rpm blast I can go down as much as 48).
Keep up with the great job, Mark! Your videos are getting better and better every time.
I just gotta fix the bluriness bahaha.
Thanks so much Joao!
Hi mark thanks for the review your content is amazing congrats on 1k!
Thanks so much! I couldnt have done it without you!
They're gonna release a infinity sided poly next, oh wait that's just regular string

Great video. Like from New subscriber! What is tool/device you have used measure tension in this video after stringing? I was thinking, no way I can measure the tension of racquet after stringing done.
Welcome to the club!
Tourna Stringmeter is what I used on my videos.
Please, which string do you prefer for a baseliner, the babolat RPM Blast, or the Volkl Cyclone? Thank you very much!
Trying this bad boy for the first time tomorrow. Not sure the rough version will give more bite, but will definitely give it a try next time.
Very helpful video... Can you please review weiss cannon ultra cable strings? I have heard that it is better than hyper G.
Best spin string on TW university. Also chosen string of the year 3 times...TEST WEISS ULTRA CABLE
Definitely on my list!
Hey bro, great content 👍
Plz keep up the good work.
I cannot find iso speed base line control though. Which sites sell it?
Ta from the UK
@@MarkSansait Ah, yes. They’ve got it in the US site but not Europe.
Thanks again buddy. Great content 👍🙏
@@MarkSansait The isospeed is $40 on tennis warehouse. How is it cheaper than rpm blast?
+Mark Sansait Not sure if you tried at too high of a tension or what but I disagree the spin of this string is amazing and control is awesome. I've never been able to find a string that plays anything like Blast, it outspins anything with the most snapback ever. 16 or 15L provide the most spin as you can really hit the ball big without flying, and 15L is the slickest spinniest version. Only problem with it is its harsh on the body and after a few hours spin decreases significantly, I assume cause it starts losing some of the slick coating.
Would you be able to review the Gamma Ocho TNT 17? I just tried this string out and it’s a great string for generating more spin and improved my game dramatically, thanks for the great video Mark!
I only review 16gauges. If there are no 16gauges for the string, I'll do a 16L.
Unfortunately doing a 17 gauges string review will drastically change too many things for me to review :(
What strings and tension do you recommend for a stiff racket like the babolat purestrike?
great review, thanks for sharing. Friendly production suggestions: 1) turn off the light in the background 2) adjust focus, you were a little out of focus the whole time.
Noted!
Focus was just bad recording on my part.
Hey, man saw you play in Elite last tournament they had. I love this string as well...crazy control on running forehands which I love. If you are down to hit anytime let me know!
Its not a bad string at all! Its pretty damn good actually, but its SO EXPENSIVE.
Since you live nearby, I can string up your next racket for free with Isospeed Baseline Control - I would love to see if I can save you ~$15 per racket in the future!
How is the Gosen Sidewinder 17 compared to RPM blast ? If you see on TW string comparison they turn out to be the same, just that Gosen is more arm friendly. Your comments ?
I used to play with this string and now I use luxilon original. I think luxilon is more confortable, give better sensaciones and more power. I am in LOVE with this String my friend. Lots of spanish players use this String to play
Do you not mind the high price? Just curious on your thoughts, Francisco!
@@MarkSansait thanks for answering. I do agree is too expensive. But in my humble opinnion is not an average Poly, It is really good. I Will be very Happy testing your suggestions.
Also the main problem is people than do not break string use Poly, they can use multifilament. BEST regards from south spain
I have hitting partners from Valencia - I hope all is well!
@@MarkSansait thanks. Situation is very difficoult as in most of the countries. What are your thoughts on Dunlop Black Widow as a heavy baseliner with big power? I actually switched away from RPM Blast partially due to price.
In all honesty Josh, I dont remember to much on how Dunlop Black Widow played. Last time I hit with that string was 10 years ago. The only thing I remember with this string was it was a complete pain to string because of how sharp it was.
Very informative video would also like to see Luxilon 4g soft review
Its on my list!
I have a question. Is it normal for me to have different grips for each type of forehand? I hit with a eastern grip for my normal forehands, but whenever the ball is pretty high and around shoulder level, i switch to a semi western grip.
Oh yes its ABSOLUTELY normal!
For me personally I have a different grip between forehand and backhand volleys.... as well as having a different grip between my first and second serve!
Great vid! Already got some solinco strings based on your reviews
Btw, does anyone know the song that plays around 2:20?

Did you ever use Kirschbaum max power rough? Could you review this one?
Could you review Wilson nxt comfort? I switched from polyester because I enjoy the playability a lot more but everyone tells me that I should switch back to hyper g.

HI MARK, WHATS THE BEST TENSION FOR RPM BLAST SPIN CONTROL WITH MY RACKET PURE AERO 300g ( YELLOW )
Hi Mark! Could you review the Babolat Pro Last ? It is very cheap which is surprising from Babolat and I was wondering if it was a direct successor of Babolat Duralast which was used by Rafael Nadal back in the days in the clear yellow color.
Hey Mark, new to you channel. Have you reviewed any of the diadem strings? A good tennis friend of mine turned me on to them and I love how cheap they are and the quality of play from it. Happy hitting! -Jeff
Never had the chance, but I'll keep an eye out!
Welcome to my channel :).
Which string you are using here. As I too have babolat pure strike 100 racquet and Rmp blast string. But I don't feel comfortable with string. Kindly recommend good string for Babolat pure strike 100 ( 300gms for women)

@@MarkSansait Gotta see if I need to switch to RPM you know?
For me, the issue I have with shaped strings is the shape/edges wear out after 8 or so hours of play. It becomes another circular string in my opinion.
The @TennisTroll has blessed my channel!
Agreed, there is a bit of wear and tear in all shaped tennis strings.
Luckily for me, string break around 4 hours of play (depending on the strings) which is before they become round.

Curious if there are any disadvantages I string my racket (95D) mains with Gut @ 62 and Hyper G in the cross @ 48, should the difference be withing 4 pounds or it doesn't matter?
Although the difference is about 14 lbs, its not as drastic as you think because you are supposed to string Polys around 10% less than the multifilaments.
The only disadvantage I can see is I think you will break the Gut VERY FAST because:
1) its on your mains
2) the Solinco Hyper G is extremely sharp
Let me know how it feels though!
Dude if you ever have a spare 95D you wanna sell please shoot it my way 😭

Awesome Content Mark! Shoutout from Indonesia! Just wondering if you've heard of Mayami Brand, wondering if it could go on your list for the Tour Hex, Magic Twist and Big Spin hehe. Thanks!!
Nevin, what companies are those strings manufactured from?
@@MarkSansait Ukraine! But they are in the US too I believe! www.mayamistrings.com/ here is the link, 99.99 per reel if i’m not mistaken for the Tour Hex, and 20 dollars more for some of the other strings. There isn’t much reviews other than on stringforum net and like tennisnerd I think so Maybe you could try it eventually on your list :D
OHHHH THATS CHEAP!
@@MarkSansait Yessirr I think other than the US, they’re also in Europe. For Asia I remember seeing Malaysia, Thailand (manufactured here I think), Singapore, but unfortunately not in Indonesia :(
BUT I somehow won a giveaway from tennisnerd and mayami on IG lolol so I’ll be receiving them soon... for free but luxury tax import tax will cost urgh. Also an old guy whom I bought some old pure drive 2002 gave me the Big Spin for free, he said he got it in the US.
So you guys got it over there for sure! Also, I believe they have the 16 gauge 1.30 mm for several, the Tour Hex will be at 1.28mm and 1.23mm. Definitely qualifies for a string review for you with the 1.30mm 16 gauge!
And I’ve reviewed them all on this TANNIS Channel lol. Excellent review man!! Keep the good content coming!! Hyper G still reigns!!! Haha
I love me playing some TANNIS lollll
Hi, what's the most 'pop' sound poly you feel so far at your tension and the gauge you like?
Hey Peter, the Yonex PolyTour Strike actually sounds like it has a LOT of pop on it :).
@@MarkSansait Thanks a lot for your reply. Actually I am using it too now. Just ordered a pack of RPM power to see the difference.
Hey Mark! Once again, great review. Could you please measure tension after playing with the string for at least 4-5 hours? Imo 2 to 2,5 hours is a little short to truly know if the string maintains tension well.
I'll try next time. The reason I dont measure it at the 4 hour mark is because it typically breaks...
F
Great content Mark. Keep it coming please.
🙏🙏🙏🙏
Could you please do a review for new RPM Power 17g
It seems that the gage or thickness of the string has a big influence on the stifness and possibly the power of the string. Could you maybee do a review of different gagues e g hyper g 20 at 1.05 mm or g 18 1.15 mm vs hyper g 16 1.30 mm. I am looking for a softer copoly for my kid maybee this is a way to go?
Lars, as of now I only review 16 gauge (maybe a 16L if 16 is not available) to have as few parameters change as possible when reviewing these strings for people such as yourself.
Other parameters that I try to keep the same:
-racket being tested on
-tension
-1 piece vs 2 piece stringing
-machine it was strung on
-the stringer (human) who operates the machine
C’mon!!!!!! Please tell me what it is. I won’t tell anyone, I promise! I’m waiting on that Dunlop review, then I’ll decide which string to switch to. Solinco hyper G or one of the Dunlop’s. 👍🏼 waiting patiently here! 🙋🏻♀️
😁😁😁
Is the new and old rpm blast the same except for the packaging?
Yes
RPM blast is fine. I liked it as much as anything else. I’ve used a lot of Luxillon. I’m getting older so poly doesn’t give me enough pop/power but I like the control. I actually like synthetic gut but it breaks too fast. Luxillon smart is pretty good I got a reel of that. Maybe I ll start blending again but I never really liked that.
The strings are super expensive
Gamma Moto is just as good as RPM and way cheaper. Try it and see. Another great budget string is Genesis Hexonic. It has control, spin, tension maintenance and durability. Both Moto and Hexonic can be found on eBay for $10.90, or less, including shipping.
Oooo never heard of Gamma Moto - I'll check it out!
Hope you can do a review on Babolat racket as well, as they are also marketing geniuses
Prince Synthetic Gut w/ Duraflex is and pretty much will always be the best seller, but Blast along with Alu has best selling poly locked up
What’s your suggestion for top spoon on a Babolat aero vs?
I personally like being small spoon.
I know it’s against the typical masculine romantic expectations but I really enjoy being coddled.
@@MarkSansait : I meant top spin
When are you going to try OEHMS black pearl rough?
It would be nice if you make some kinf of video clasifying how good are the strings in one table of something without taking in mind the price factor
So rpm blast vs hyper g?
Rpm blast => bad
Hyper g => good
Tourna black 7! Plays just like rpm blast but WAY cheaper ($100/reel). Can't believe that hardly anybody knows about the strings made by Tourna
I've heard really good things about Tourna - I cant wait to test it
100 is more expensive than RPM in my country
Mark you should do a review on Prince Tour Xr. It's 5 dollars and has a similar feel to Luxilon Alu Power in my opinion. Others on talk tennis say the same
Definitely on my list to look out for!
Isospeed makes some of Heads best strings
Are they related?
@@MarkSansait isospeed is next door in Austria , Head in Germany... isospeed makes the rip control, velocity mlt and some others.. velocity mlt is the slickest multi eveyone uses as crosses on TW forums.. Also isospeed cream ehich is a soft poly that lasts long.. Isospeed uses plastics that are used on bottom of skis.. isospeed classic control is supposedly best string no one heard of
@@mteca5093 damn velocity mlt is my favorite multifilament for the feel, spin, power and price. if isospeed creates those strings I will have to look into their products.
I use Rpm blast helped me so much in my game. And it also lasts a long time might cost more money but last so long you def save money. Also the spin I achieve on my shots are second to none with this string. Just make sure if you have tennis elbow to use a racket that forgiving to make up for it. It’s very stiff.
Thanks for the different perspective Sol!
Personally in the past, this string was actually less durable than most strings I've used in the past!
@@MarkSansait really! What did you use before? I don’t get it I string it on a babalot pure aero at 55lb. And I hit very high velocity especially on the forehand. I would say a little more than yours but prob less spin than you hit could be thats why. Also you felt it to be soft. I feel compared to let’s say ALU power 125 to be stiffer.
@@MarkSansait one thing for sure I love the performance of this string def my fav. Like you said all my shots just work slice chip volley all great.
My main string before I started reviewing tennis strings was Isospeed Baseline Control. The review for this string will be up later today!
Would the blade 98 18x20 with rpm blast be good then ?
I will stick to my weiss Canon ultra cable strings thank you very much. Best topspin string available according to tenniswarehouse university and no tennis elbow.
I've heard really good thing about Weiss Canon - especially the Ultra Cable!
@@MarkSansait Weiss Canon ultra is good but its also the heaviest string and changes the balance and weight of your racquet
I was gonna ask if you had tried any Isospeed strings and you pulled it out at the end. Lmao.

Do you know about the Mistringer Machine?
Never heard of it! Do you own one?
@@MarkSansait I don't. I'm looking to learn how to start stringing and some people say that it's a good one because it's relatively inexpensive and has a 6 point mounting system

I prefer round poly strings because of consistent response and control. Too much rough or weird shape wouldn't work that well for me. Also discovered your channel from Ian as well. I've had many requests for it! Definitely on my list! :)
It's a good string. I hit with it in the summer. Felt little too stiff for me but good spin
Vs RPM Power?
I think there are better strings in relation to price. For example Yonex Poly Tour Pro
Tried both, the polytour pro goes dead after 8 hours while the blast keeps control 12 to 15 hours
Thank you! I use the RPM Blast because it does everything pretty well. I also don’t know much about strings, so I stuck with it. The ISO Speed Baseline Control looks really interesting.
I'll give you a bit of a spoiler before my next video is out:

Isospeed Baseline Control
you missed 1 bad thing, its not very durable string, before was cheaper was fine, but you hit couple hours it gets stuck and its spin string, this was pointed out by some youtuber shop owner. i knew it but i kept my eyes closed cause its nice string.
Durability is still not a problem for me (yet), going in on 3 hours of straight hitting time.
Try MSV Focus HEX 1.27mm
Yes! I've heard AMAZING things about these strings. Super cost effective too!
The roomers are correct hahaha. I play with it and it is the best string for me and I tried a lot of strings including RPM blast and luxilon alu power which is also great but to expensive if you have to string a racked every second day. Keep it up
🤗
This gave me more feel AND power than Blast.
Hi!
Heylooooo
I guess most people watching the video want to know whether it is a good string or not. Do agree the string doesn’t make a player but it does have to suit the player to a certain extent. If not there would be no reason to even watch these reviews and everyone would just use the same string.
As with anything, price is never linear. Marketing alone, in todays world is not enough to make the consumer buy something and thus price is a function of the demand and also the quality of a product:
It might not be twice as good as another string but many would pay for the good quality and the consistency it brings.

I thought Luxilon and its varieties are more popular than BB RPM Blast!
Probably! I dont have the stats for it.
But Babolat RPM Blast is ONE of the most popular strings right now!
@@MarkSansait Here in Toronto, Canada, Luxilon is the poly everybody requests. It's like Kleenex - but, there are tons of other poly's available. Thx for your review of Baseline Control. Hey man, I was recommended you channel but your intro was a real turn off to me.
Sorry to hear that! Ill work on it next time!
Get to the point
Seriously. This string has zero feel, its stiff as fuck and jars the arm at every hit, Maybe I’m too used to using natural gut in the mains, I do string up in the high 50’s / low 60’s
RPM blast is prob the worst string I’ve ever used.
And possibly the most expensive you have ever used!
RPM Blast also killed my arm when I strung it in the mid 50s .... I went back to it in the mid to low 40s and it was a completely different experience and has become one of my favourite strings, with no arm issues. IMHO, polys should never be strung in the 50s. The damage it does to your elbow tendons at that tension is cumulative.
This string sucks. Feels like a brick. Buy yonex poly tour instead. Hell string it with yarn instead. Anything is better than this stuff. I will give good marks on durability tho.
