- Agates await on Montana's Yellowstone River, which is returning to normal levels after the "spring rise." In this video, Kate finds stunning banded chert, beautiful jasper, waterline, petrified wood and one very strange tube agate! The narrow strip of gravel gives up its treasures as we wait for the rest of the water to fall. Come along!

Wow! Only you Kate, can take a day where the river hasn't really come down all the way, and there is only a small area to hunt, but you can always make the best of it, anyways. I love your attitude! And it pays off! Some gorgeous banded chert finds, and some banded jasper to go along with it. And some pieces of petrified wood too! And some agate! Just not any big ones, well maybe not. Can't tell about that big one at the end! But all in all, it was a decent hunt with some more than decent finds. Thanks Kate!❤

Nice finds Kate! Wish I was still up there. Had a blast all weekend. I have put out the video with you and Josh as well as two others from that weekend. Also have a premiere Tuesday at 8 eastern time showing some of the stuff I collected up close with better light. It will be the first of several videos cause I collected too much to show on one video. Lol.

You find so many beautiful rocks! Just curious on a typical day out, are you out for a whole 8 hour day looking, or just a few hours. I personally only last a couple hours in the morning especially now that summer is here.
Oh, a couple hours is generally my limit too! I couldn’t carry all the rocks I’d find in 8.
