Looking to learn about Yellowstone River agates? This is a publication from 1972 by a man named Paul Fry. This was the very first literature I read when I was learning about Montana agates. It is called "Meanderings of a Montana Rockhound" and it is priceless:

For all those asking, I do not sell my rocks. As my supply permits, I do rock trades. OK, this is without a doubt the most amazing rockhounding video I have ever seen. Each rock was more astounding than the last. I don't think I have seen this much color since the last kaleidoscope i looked into. I don't know if you can top this one. If I had to pick a couple of favorites i loved the green jaspers snd the bubblegum. This was fantastic! You always bring a smile to my face. Be happy, safe and stay healthy 😷⚒

Yeah, um... like... WOW! Were there any rocks on that beach that WEREN'T top shelf finds?!?!?! I was drooling over those agates. And I have to say that yellow and green banded jasper around 16:25 has me perplexed. I'm trying to put together how that formed in my head - what a cool story that rock must have. You really hit it out of the park this time.
Thought poor Chopper didn't do as well. I vote for giving him extra treats this week. Squirrel flavor, if you can find them. :D

Nice film, I pray that you have been well! Chopper might be onto something, is he checking trees for rocks? ....he may have quite a long wait until that wood has petrified! He may not bring home too many prizes, but just consider his genius! ....he's a true frontiersman, or at least the top dog, out scouting on a feasibility and exploratory mission, considering a source yet exploited nor even tapped, the petrified wood reserves of the futurr if given the perfect conditions to foment in.... right there, in the beautiful Montana wilderness! This was a mind blowing video! You found a awesome rock and the next one was even better, I knew that I would have a hard time trying to pick a favorite and then the agate with all the fortification banding at 13:54 just blew me away with the blue color and all the banding. Then you would find another awesome rock be it a jasper or an agate, this was my top video of this year so far. Glad to hear you are feeling better and out rockhounding again. I live in Eastern Montana, and used to LOVE when the Yellowstone is low...and you could walk on all the sand bars...perfect place for rockhounding!! If I ever had a bucket list...can't afford a bucket...I LOVE to crawl around on my hands and knees with you hunting for rocks. Anytime. Seriously. I follow a couple rockhounds, many that you know and have hunted with, and I find the finds you find are absolutely fabulous foundlings.

I really like the dry beds that you search through. I am not Boy George but I am the guy with what I call my RockShed, completely dedicated to tumbling over 12 barrels of differing sizes and brands, and "I'll Tumble For You" . "I'll Tumble For You". "I'll Tumble For You". I was in Montana last autumn and I did find one place near Savage, that was similar but not completely as nice as your hunting ground. I loved finding tumbling sized stones. I will make them all, lovely, this year. Maybe, I will send you some more Indiana rocks, too.

I do not know how you do it but your rock haul must be 100 Lb. I'm like you , you can't leave that beautiful stuff behind. I like Silver and Gold but for beauty your finds are better....the qualities, such as shape, color, or form that pleases the aesthetic senses, especility the sight are the best.................Be well and be safe..

Youve certainly added more prized petrified gas bubbles today I liked the heart shaped multi colored one. I think is was the second or third find. I'm so jealous so many great finds😍😎🇺🇲 last deep green you got looked like jade see if you can shine a light through it it will be as hard as quartz but more dense.
