Thanks to all of the awesome artists who make their music available to creators for free. These videos would not be the same without you.
I hope everyone enjoyed a look at some of my favorite rocks. A big welcome to all of the new subscribers to the channel! Have a great weekend everyone!
Thanks for sharing, we need some distractions at this time in our lives.
The covid has us beyond isolated.
Thanks for being a bright spot in our lives.
@@rebeccaofsunnybrookefarm8469 Rebecca, hi yes this rock collecting is really cool maybe he could make some jewelry with it. Although you probably need a Dremel with diamond cutting blades I would think?
Keep looking up don't let this temporary situation, get you down! bye for now, stay busy God bless you! & Keep Looking Up
Ken.
How's it going bro,
This is another Channel I don't think you're familiar with it. I'd ask you one time about making pendants with some of those slabs you've made,
Although I think you can buy the hardware to do that online for jewelry making just to give you a heads up.
Question how do you know the difference between petrified wood in a brown rock what are the signs I what do you look for,?
And how do you know the difference between an agate and Jasper? My channel is a home improvement how to channel. But I have an interest in rocks and I picked up a few the other day from a riverbed out here by my house then I'm going to show here on my channel and maybe even cut some open but I don't even know what I'm looking at so I guess I'm going to call it something like Discovery or discovering your rocks are what's under your feet you know something like that LOL
I look forward to hear from you God bless you bye for now Ken PS I look forward to hear from you bro bye for now
How we can buy some of the rock
My pleasure! Glad to be of service!
I love that you had a story for each rock. They're like friends you meet over the years, each with a special set of circumstances. There really is something about a smooth shiny rock. We seem to use all of our senses as we enjoy them, even remembering the smell of the river or the vegetation where they were found. So I don't think it's weird to enjoy the feel of them! Thank you for this wonderful video and for sharing your special rock buddies with us. Take care. 😊
So true Gwynn! Thanks for your thoughtfulness as usual. Hope you are well!
Me too!
Love those pieces of petrified wood where the grain is really visible, killer pieces, love seeing them polished or tumbled
Thanks Ryan!
Rocks are like us,.... beautiful with all of our cracks and imperfections..... Each one having different character with so much to share. The rocks we collect, many times, bring back the great memories of a wonderful day on the river or in the mountains or on the prairies, when they were collected. Like an old friend to remind us of the good times. They represent some of the precious memories of our lives ....and of ages gone by. Cheers to the new and coming days on the river and adventures to come! Thanks for sharing your rocks with us..
I could not agree more with this! You put it wonderfully!
This dude is like the Bob Ross of rocks “ not a perfect tumble but I still love it” warms my heart
Shine on you crazy diamond! Love is in the earth🥰
Thanks Laurie!
The sound that tumbled rocks make is awesome. Great looking rocks.
Yes everything is a work of art in nature 😊🙂
I agree!
hello My name is Tammy, I am also from Billings born and raised. My paternal grandmother was part of the rock and gem club in Mt for many many years, I have photo albums dating clear back to 1945, she was also the secretary for many years. So I have been hounding since I was old enough to carry a heavy bucket of rocks down the yellowstone River Valley. Its in the genes because one of my daughter has picked up rockhounding and we are teaching the grandkids all about it, great family activity we all have our favorites.
Hi Tammy! Good to see another person from Billings on here! What a neat history of rock hounding in your family. So neat to see it being passed down from generation to generation. Thanks so much for sharing some of your story.
Dear Alex, I must tell ya that your videos are indeed SPECIAL. You are so clearly happy to be doing what you do, & amiable & generous in sharing your knowledge, how you experience all the various facets of the rocks themselves. Your enjoyment & enthusiasm in the fun of the looking & the finding are delightful--it's so clear how much you JUST LOVE the rocks! Thank you for sharing all of that with us, out here!
Hi Sally! Sorry for getting back to you so late. Thank you for such a genuine and thoughtful compliment. I love sharing them with people who also appreciate them. Have a great weekend.
It's so much fun to go through all those beautiful stones! I love the sound the rocks make when your fingers go through them....
I totally agree!
The black gem you found in Honeymoon, seems to be a Onyx, good for jewelry....Ring...Earring...bracelet...good luck and fun...😀👍
Or it could be obsidian...
You have totally inspired me to start hunting and tumbling!
Oh I am so glad to hear that! Where do you live? What will you be hunting for? Good luck out there!
Merveillous stones
Aren't they wonderful? Thanks for watching!
that flame box elder wood bowl is truly display worthy in and of itself.
,love your rocks. Envy of all that petrified wood. Hope to see more tumbles.
There is a wonderful batch of rocks just getting started which I'll share when they finish. Thanks for watching Marsha!
I like the way you tumbled the rocks. I like the rocks to still have character, just shiny and smooth, like they are wet. Thank you for this video, I enjoy all that you do.
I am so glad you enjoy the videos. That's what makes it all worth it to me. Have a great weekend.
Glad you discovered a new hobby. It quickly becomes consuming. You will love it!
Its good to know that there are people out there that also have bowls of found river rocks. I do the same, look em over, describe them, admire them, consider the age, the beauty and feel etc. My sons think its a weird hobby or interest but its peaceful and spiritual from start to finish. thanks for your video!
Nice job! some beautiful pieces. Thanks for sharing. Havagudun
Those stones are beautiful , love 💘 them.
My mom is the same way she loves to hold them and rub her fingers on them. She loves how smooth they are. You did a good job tumbling them. Not all rocks can be perfect evan the inperfect ones are beautiful. I loved this video. I love to see other peoples tumbled rocks and see how they come out. But I also love your rock hounding videos to. Keep up the good work.
Seems like your Mom and I are one in the same in that sense. Thanks for your support and kind words. Have a good week!
They came up beautiful. Isn't it funny, I can't remember most my friends birthday's (terrible I know) but I remember where all my rocks have come from hehe, Us rock hounds totally get it.
There really is a "rockhound mentality" that is just engrained in people like us. It's fun how we can all relate!
I love, love, love your videos! Can’t wait to see more!!
So now I’m gonna be looking at rocks when I go to the beach. Usually I just pick theses things up and throw them in water, now I’m going to start to see potential in them. 2020 is such a crazy year!
I love that you let your baby daughter play with the stones you love! Children are so into visual and tactile stimulation you can't help but enjoy the experience through them! I see another rock hound in the future.
Oh she absolutely loves them. It is sometimes difficult to keep them out of her mouth, but she only plays with rocks that are too big to choke on.
My granddaughter plays with mine, too! Loves my rocks.
I find a lot of agate but still learning to identify more so you and Kip inspire me and Bear
So glad that we inspire! Thanks for watching.
You are freaken adorable! And your videos are fun to watch. Vicariously rockhounding through you. I feel like I'm there with you.
Gotta love that Pryor material! They always come out looking incredible! I personally adore our Yellowstone petrified and agatized wood; no two pieces will ever look the same once they're polished! Just a massive amount of variation. Those are some gorgeous jaspers! Loved the video!
Absolutely. Love tumbling that stuff. Take care man!
@@AgateAngler you too, man!
I love rocks and just pick them up now watching this thinking I got a lot more then just rocks
Rocks sure can be a whole lot more like you said. I can remember exactly where and when I found some of my best finds. Thanks for watching Bree!
I love watching these rough stones getting all polished up. Would be great if you could make another when you’re ready. Greetings from the Netherlands.
Kip is my favorite CZcamsr ever
I'll be sure to tell him!
Love those rocks!
Beautiful rocks and I love the Box elder bowl.
😊😁😀
If your weird so am I.
I love to do the same thing...I find it relaxing for some reason.😊 The one with the Agatised P wood with the banding is amazing.👍
Nothing wrong with being weird, but it's always a bit of a reach to share it with a bunch of strangers on CZcams. But I'm glad that my longtime viewers like you are just as weird as I am.
Dude, rad polish man, and how cool is that each rock has a story behind it. Like your first one, the one from your honeymoon, the one from your first video, it’s just crazy how much more they can mean to us than just a rock. It’s a hard thing to explain but rockhounds and kids know the feeling haha.
Absolutely. It is hard to put into words, but I know that there are so many of us that share in the mystery and memories that rocks give. Crazy to think that some day my grandchildren might be holding and playing with those rocks.
That was great, you have a beautiful collection. Loved rock hunting as a child and am still mesmerized by what an old rock looks like polished!
Evvery time you said they weren't perfect I was thinking...yes they are! Lol. Great finds. All beautiful! 😁
I totally know what you mean. I only say that since there are some hardcore rock tumblers out there that literally aim for perfection. Either way they are perfect to me. Thanks for watching!
@@AgateAngler ...I totally understand that! I just love them all....lol! 🤣
Enjoy you sharing. Very beautiful .
The one @ 15:15 is called _unakite._ I'd wager money that's what it is. It's also a stunning example as well! Most are more pinkish and green than dark red like that. It's generally found in areas rich with copper and iron deposits. Yours was probably imported from Canada via a 1.3 mile tall glacier about 9,000+ years ago and the river cutting through the glacial till washed it into the Yellowstone then into your collection. Enjoy it! It''s an extraordinary example of a _somewhat_ common collectible rock.
Thanks for the information! I really appreciate it. I find the geological history to be very interesting and wish I knew more of it.
Love your rocks. Maybe next time you display you could use a light table to help show through.
Beautiful video Agat Angler! From Brasil...
Lindo video meu amigo. 💜💕
How to sell like this stuff
Thank you! Hope you are doing well.
Awesome turned out really beautiful
Thank you! Cheers!
Loved the video. Really like that you share what kind of specimens you have because id -ing rocks is not an easy task!
So glad you enjoyed the video! Thanks for watching and leaving a comment!
I loved seeing those please show more
I've got another video showing off some amazing fan-mail rocks coming very soon!
Lovely.....i wish my area had such a diverse set of minerals😅
Maybe worth looking into some places nearby that you could drive to. Thanks for watching!
We all do 😂
I'm jealous and blessed petrified wood isn't as readily available where I live or my husband would have to sneak hide pieces of it because I would be displaying those EVERYWHERE. I love literally every piece I've ever seen of it lol
Thank you for showing us this. Enjoyed your videos.
Glad you enjoyed it
So relaxing to watch your videos, love those rocks!! Happy to hear you made it to my home town of Victoria, BC. Great to know someone else remembers where each rock is picked up also 😉
So glad you enjoy the videos. I remember where many of my rocks came from. They truly are so much more than rocks.
Love your rocks! I love them all! Thanks for sharing. 👍🙂
Beautiful is all I can say
Hi Alex, me again ( hit send too fast). Your pet is stunning! And your jasper Is ahmazing! Both tumbled showing off all their beauty. Your pink and green one reminds me of unakite! Black and silver little jasper is nothing I have seen! Cool and great video!
You can comment as much as you'd like! So glad you enjoyed the video.
Aha ha ha!😊😄😆 That's funny...myself & Rookie! are both feelers! 🤭😆 We luv the smoothness too! 👍 But Rookie is also a Nodule holder lol...🤫 🙃
Superb Finds you have there my friend my kids love this kind of videos .
Cool. Thanks for sharing your love of the rocks.
Too Cool ❤️ everything changed when you. Rinsed them wow
Thanks for sharing your beautiful polished rocks!
My pleasure! Thanks for watching!
I was drooling, lol They are so amazing looking. I never thought a piece of pet wood could look so awesome ! Thanks for sharing.
I have the stone and you have the machine so we can make 100 rock if you like it
The petrified wood tumbles amazingly well. I'm so glad you enjoyed!
I love that you use ceramic pellets, same here. Less chance of plastic in the environment. They ARE perfect, any so called flaws add character, and make them individual and unique! I have been watching your videos from that very first one, hehe! It's been a very nice journey, and can't wait for more. That one stone does look very similar to picture jasper. Not weird at all, I'll bet that most of us love the feel of running our fingers over certain stones. Awwww, you and your wife have created a future rockhounder! The Lortone double barreled tumbler is well worth the investment. Great job on the tumbing, they turned out beautiful, and love the wooden bowl too. Scratch Kip's ears for me!
I can't tell you how much I appreciate your thoughtful words. I've been very busy lately, so I am just getting around to some of these comments. Hope you are doing well and I am glad you enjoy the videos.
I'm new here and watching you go to the river to find stones showed me what to look for when I get to do it, thanks
I hope you get out there and find some interesting stuff! Good Luck!
Wow! So many lovely pieces!
Thanks so much!
Great rocks! Love that petrified wood! Good job. Lortone is the best!
I agree totally! Thanks for watching Paul!
Wow, thank you Alex for showing your tumbled treasures. Im just starting to tumble myself, it's real satisfying seeing the end results. I plan on journaling every find with pictures so my kids can enjoy them also when I'm gone. Would love to send you some of Colorado's rocks. Thanks again. Love your videos
Hi Alex I have a suggestion for your special rocks with stories to them .They would look really nice in a wall mounted display case with the stories behind each one ..well put behind each one . They would still be reachable for you and your family but would be behind glass and there to see each day. Be a nice time capsule of sorts for your little girl when she grows up :) ps It is soothing and relaxing to both touch and hear the sound of polished rocks so no you are not being silly . You are looking after your blood pressure lol.
Thanks Mary-Anne. That's a great idea you have. I'll certainly consider it. Thanks for watching and commenting as always.
I love seeing imperfections. For me, it gives the rock real character. :-) Love it. New subbie.
Hiya from The Rockies (Western Part in MT) my son and I just started our rock hounding adventures. Thank you for your videos so we can learn more about what's available here in MT. Thank you for sharing with us, it is absolutely appreciated!
Great job of filming and focusing, perfect amount of time on each rock! I'm re-polishing rocks now you tuber Michigan rocks has been a really big help on my polishing.
He is great! I have watched quite a few of his videos. Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed.
Hi from Victoria BC. I tumble a lot of beach rocks from our area. Keep up the good work.
Very cool! Your beaches are awesome and beautiful!
The rock on 3:20 is a Onyx!!
Good to know! You must be right.
could also be Jet. if you rub the jet against a rock it should leave a brown scratch... if its jet
Maybe apache tear as well. Hard to know without a scratch pad
Tumbled rocks always look really cool it's amazing how they come to life I mean they just jump out at you! Well thank you for sharing your findings. Having a rock tumbler sure is a game changer God bless you.
bye for now, Ken.
keep up the great work and thanks for sharing I look forward to hear from ya,
Thanks Ken! They really do come to life after polishing which is why it is so much fun and well worth the wait.
Just found you and so so excited to check out more! I get made fun of so often for all the rocks in my pockets lol but i could care less! I love rocks! Fun to watch and that petrified wood is freaking stunning. Ocean jasper is my fave!

Hey Alex 👋 Love seeing the tumbled rock videos. They go 👋 in 👋 with hunting. 👍😍
Yay! Soo glad you enjoy!
I just tumbled upon your channel. It's so awesome. We love to pick up rocks too. We used to have a tumble machine in our garage. It's small so the didn't come out as good. We wish to get another one....my kids and I are crazy for rocks😊
I see what you did there.... very clever!
I enoyed your bowl of favorite polished rocks. I have a bowl of favorites also.

I Love all the rocks you have found! I have a rock tumbler, got it about 5 yrs ago & never used it. This video has inspired me to start working on some rocks I've found & also look for more!
Absolutely! I hope that you follow-through and make some beautiful stones with your tumbler.

Beau ti ful Alex! can't wait to check Montana Rock hounding out! Save some for me!😍
I love beautiful stones and going hunting them! Thanks for sharing your GREAT tumbled finds! Blessings...
MY pleasure! Thank you for watching and commenting. Have a great day!
My wife and I go on adventures all over the country and we do some homework of where some potential for good finds are. We always make it a point to at least find a pocket full of specimens. We have tons of rocks! We tumbled some. We have tons of memories attached to these rocks. An emerald we found rockhounding on a trip we got engaged on is now in her wedding ring... which is her birthstone. Rockhounding is such a great hobby!
Very nice tumbles and finds though!
Wow, wow, wow!!! Really those rocks are a masterpiece!!! You enjoy all the journey!! Since the hunting until the tumble, thanks for sharing with us!!!
Thanks Ayda! I'm so glad you enjoyed them!
Nice rocks
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed.
Really nice rocks. A couple you called jasper look a lot like banded chert I find here in Michigan. Thanks for sharing.
The 1 you called banded jasper reminds me of the banded chert I find. I have some just like it. So beautiful and comes in a few different colors.
Fantastic video! Much love from Gallatin County!!
I just watched your video on the flooded river and I love the way you hunt for rocks and have a story for each one! I didn't even know you could tumble petrified wood but its so pretty
Awesome! Thank you! Yes, the petrified wood comes out of the tumbler very beautiful.
Petrified wood with agate in it 😳! WOW!!!! Now That's a Specimen😀.
Agreed! One of my favorite finds for sure!
Beautiful. T x
Thank you! Cheers!
