    The times Kratos can't fart for Mimir's sake, he finally can when Helios is there.

    Im surprised no one has mentioned that Kratos' first reaction when a greek god talks to him was to grab his blades

      Even being a more calm person after all these years, he doesn't forget the torturous memories he lived with those gods.

    Helios served as the antithesis to Mimir. Mimir is the sage council, the voice of reason Kratos never had during his Ghost of Sparta years. Helios is a reminder of his violent past, justified or not. He's a troll, but a necessary one for Kratos. Throughout his bloody saga of vengeance, he felt the ends justified the means. He did not care for the world and it's suffering. He was consumed with revenge. Helios reminds him constantly that his actions had consequences, not that he cared at the time.

    21:20 Helios is here because Kratos wants him there to remind him of his ugly past so that he'll never repeat it. There's no reconciling or fixing it; Helios outright spits in Kratos' face when he tries offering an apology. And that's how it must be.

  • @brakistroier
    @brakistroier Před 5 měsíci +48

    The one thing I'm really wondering about is if this is really just a manifestation of Helios from Kratos' head, made by Valhalla to test Kratos, or if there's at least a small part of the real Helios in there? I know the former is probably the correct assumption, but it'd be really funny if Valhalla snatched Helios' soul for a second and was like "Hey, wanna annoy your killer for a hour or two?"

    • @ArmoredG
      @ArmoredG Před 5 měsíci +7

      pretty sure it was of Kratos' mind that valhalla took advantage of. I mean how could he forget Helios? Severed heads has always been one of Kratos' accessory😂

      @magnanimousmartyr421 Před 5 měsíci +3

      I myself rather prefer the interpretation that it really is in fact Helios or at least a little piece of him. I mean, after all, why else would he possess the ability to react to Norse Enemies with surprise or confusion?

    • @ArmoredG
      @ArmoredG Před 5 měsíci +2

      Valhalla kinda works like The Norns' illusions, being inside your own mind. So does the light of alfheim(not really) and Helheim, except they are not as strong and real as Valhalla's.

  • @mb2001

    Based on the last one:
    This Helios might be a jerk, but he's also very right. If Kratos really doesn't want to become the Ghost of Sparta again, he must always keep in mind how his actions have led to him becoming that in the first place. It may play a role in guiding him just as much as it does haunting him.

    • @Bardock059
      @Bardock059 Před 5 měsíci +3

      You mean Kratos? After all, that isn't the real Helios but self-manifestation of his negative thoughts and conjure up Helios as his biggest guilt of killing for his vengeance against Zeus

    • @kingartison
      @kingartison Před 5 měsíci +4

      I don’t think kratos CAN forget none of what he did the swords the dress the scars he may control the memory different but it’s clear what he did why how and more even with Helios reminding him he isn’t saying nothing new

    Regarding the Athenian soldier kratos sacrificed inside Pandora's box, wasn't Pandora's box made by pathos verdes after Zeus made him do it ? So in turn wasn't this the god's fault for asking this to move forward? AND ON A QUEST THE GODS ASKED HIM TO TO SAVE ATHENS !

      He does, he doesn't recognize none of them and freaks out, makes me wonder if it's Kratos' inner conscience or a fragment soul of Helios attached to him.

    Why did it have to be Helios to come back if anything the one that should have came back is Zeus that should have been his head not Helios I mean come on he was no one special in Kratos his past Zeus was His father this should be him you know father-son bonding kind of thing
